There's a part of me - a small part - that hopes they pull a DBFZ and add a balanced version of T3 Jin as a character. They did his whole character so much justice in this story mode.
Sounds like a bad idea, sorry. Also because it will reinforce the discourse of abusive practices with dlcs in the genre. And Tekken is actually not in a great image about that... just not as bad as MK. What seems like a better idea: Implement in the next main game an universal function similar to MK's "Variations"... to be able pick your favorite moveset. And that will apply to every char. So like, the devs can take more liberties in the sequel and make more radical moveset changes (more than in T8) and boost up the creative potential in the series... Then the old moveset will still be present for whoever wants it. Sure it will give problems of balance. But that would be a good addition to the series anyways. The current direction of fg production suggests these companies will probably never have big initial roster goals again, like in the PS2 or PS3 gen... so doubling the option that way will be a kind of compensation.
@@carlosaugusto9821 I think the problem is that tekken characters already have tones of moves. Next to 100 or more per character. I think this was also partly an exercise for the devs in re-implementing old moves as well as telling the playerbase "we have the option to give current characters their busted moves from previous iterations." Here's hoping we get a Jin with accessible Omen stance and Kazama stance in the future, maybe Tag 3 or TxSF. I personally like T4->Tag 2 Jin's own style over the current 7/8 style.
