Crazy to think that they’ve been using the same battle grunts/voice overs for these characters since T5, we’re finally getting updated voice lines/battle grunts for the characters in 8.
Just watching this video brings tears to my eyes, but one of the biggest improvements I've seen is that they fixed Lili's hair from T7 (now it looks smoother and flows freely), and Xiaoyu's hair becomes thicker. Also they developed Jin's character from "Power is everything!" to "Power isn't everything." What a time to be alive.
Hopefully they won't take away Steve's "Hey you! You wanna try me, guv?" from one of his win poses. It was already iconic. Also Yoshimitsu's "Shiki soku zeku".

It’s crazy how TAG 2 almost destroyed the franchise harada and Murray had 1 chance left with Tekken 7. They had a smaller budget and still made so much money and Tekken 8 shows that in full display
It's kinda crazy how Fighting Games as a whole died out. SF5 got funded by Sony, VF5US too. SCVI got funded by Harada and T7 got funded by Bamco as a last chance. Only MKX was kinda lucky to have Warner Bros, or else they would've probably suffered too. Dark times for FGC.
I love how at the end, Jin’s hood is up in Tekken 7, but he has it down in 8. Almost like he’s done self-loathing and is ready to face whatever is in store for him head on. Great use of visual storytelling. What do you think?

i dont know what it is or if its just me, but tekken has a feeling that i cannot describe..maybe its because it was one of my favorite games growing up as kid with tekken 6 playing with my father and i have this nostaglic feeling. Tekken is forever in my heart,
honestly crazy how well 7 aged in 8 years
This is so beautiful, growing up with tekken and falling in love with it, this makes me so emotionally happy that I can't word it properly
Jin's first intro looks so sick now and Lars looks so good
1:08 the difference in lars face from tekken 7 to 8 is insane
Paul turned his rank into rizz master
Everyone looks more mature.
a few of them but your right they did mature
In jp fgs aging is handled in a complicated and inconsistent way, especially females, but overall I guess everyone indeed looks more mature.
Tekken 7 was awesome and the best fighting game and still is. And Tekken 8 is gonna be a masterpiece. The background music in the video is really satisfying and emotional.
You need to re do this once the full game releases with Solitude 😭
Al it did was make characters more glossy and watery
I think we all had goosebumps with Solitude. Specially at 1:35
So looking forward what Julia would look like in T8 ❤
tekken 7 is 8 years old? damn! it aged extremely well!
im bouta jump into it now as ive given tekken a second chance and with fight stick tekken is sooooooooooo much better
Can we talk about Lars glow-up tho
Also _humble_ Jin: Dragunov's D2 that launches, Flying everywhere, Superpowers, Launching motorcycles at helicopters.
Don't forget the divekick
Goodbye heihachi!
dont worry hi might be back on some shape or form but for now his time is up
Thanks for reminding me that we have to put up with 7's shit for another 3 goddamn months
*And people say Next-Gen games look worse*
They need glasses
I always thought tekken 7 looked super ugly, but now that I’m seeing the 1 for 1 comparison, tekken 7 actually really wasn’t that bad of a game graphically. Don’t get me wrong at this point they’re definitely outdated and after playing tekken 8 tekken 7 feels sooo bad lmao. However, when tekken 7 came out it was probably premium stuff in terms of graphics, it’s just super nice to see how far the series has come and how beautiful it all looks in tekken 8
After 8 years? I mean there is a significant improvement in how real the graphics and animation looks.
Great graphics, better lighting and texture resolution, but hardly noticeable
Wow Nina looks so much hotter in T8, didnt realize this because she wears huge sunglasses for her default.
Lars looks like a Swedish model now
Same intro we need more news animation even when they start the fight and the winning animations
I remember thinking Tag 2 was the most realistic looking fighting game
Then Tekken 7 came along
Then Mortal Kombat 11
And now Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8 have blown me away completely
Incredible
And mk1
Tekken is the only gaming title that been reusing old assets for multiple games and no one is mad at all. It become its charm at this point.
Wait all their Tekken 7 outfits are back? Nice, Lee will still have his drip
This latest entry of Tekken is most likely the one to formally end the Mishima Saga with that final battle between Jin and Kazuya.
Tekken 8 will have other things going on of course, but without Heihachi, this looks like the beginning of the end for this era in the Tekken universe and I'm honestly ready for it.
