English language cards are printed in the United States, Japan, or Belgium. Each uses different stock, and they're easy to tell apart. If you got a box with good card stock, your box was likely printed in Japan. The box will list the source country (bottom and sides), and so will the packs (back of the wrapper). I mention it so that you can pay attention and get the stock you prefer in the future. Around here, we usually see U.S. and Japanese boxes on the shelves, but some sets and products only have U.S. printings.

this is the reason why I dont buy at my LGS anymore. they always want 30-50 bucks more than online sellers. even if I wanted to support them - thats is too much.
I'm glad the professor gave this rating to the product! Although many of his previous videos "promoted" the expansion and how fun it is, regarding it's value, it's simply not worth it. I don't see this getting better in the future with the removal of draft/set boosters.... sad to see this as draft was my favorite format
Don’t forget that Wizards sold RVR Draft boxes for $133 on Amazon Prime special way before release, then corrected to $215 per box. I think they’ll fall below $96 per box before the end of this year.
I always appreciate prof never laying blame at the feet of the LGS's, but I'm curious what are LGS's meant to do when the cost to order sets like Rav Remaster are $140+ a box buying directly from distro? How can local game stores survive on that profit margin and expect to continue carrying magic at all? At $160 (the recommended price as per the video) your favorite store will pocket $20 in profit only.
Today I drafted Rav Remastered for $25 aud (about $17usd) every participant got a pack at the end and a promo, plus there was price support for the top 3. The draft was some of the most fun I've had with magic and was well worth it.
Better than the Karlov event prices, at my LGS RVR was $25AUD but the Karlov events are gonna be $50AUD up from $40AUD during Ixalan ))))): but the Ravnica was the best draft experience I've had in a while
This is insightful, really. As someone who's aiming to make an Izzet Midrange and Selesnya Auras, I need a lot of these shock lands. But the prices are....Damn. The pricing here in PH is big, so I might wait for prices to get lower or well, I still need to think cuz I'm still pretty new to the game, especially a novice for picking boosters.
Man, same. Bcs of how the PH prices things, I rarely even consider buying pricey land pieces like the shocks or fetches. This is after buying many big pieces for my Ur-Dragon deck. It really hurts the wallet, and I need time to recover.
I played a RVM draft last week as a preview draft and it was incredible. So much so i was seriously debating grabbing a box and 4 boxes of cubeamajigs...damn its a shame its so much
Buying packs to draft RVR is probably one of the biggest wastes of money right now. I could draft Baldur´s Gate for 70 Euro a box (with a chance of really big hits), DMU for 80 Euro (a single Sheoldred would finance the hole draft) or DMR for 130 Euro. The right time to draft RVR is in beginning of 2025 when LGS are selling of the left over Boxes as the next overpriced and undervalued reprint set hits the shelfes. Same same but different like it went with DMR.
Doing a personal draft next Saturday with a small group of friends. They're fairly new to magic so they haven't been around for ravnica. As a way to get them more cards and to share my love for ravnica as a whole, we are doing a mini draft tournament.
Unfinity also had all the shocklands, one guaranteed as a box topper, and also able to be pulled in pack. I remember getting two from the packs in my box when I drafted it.
Prof. I really want to get some Cubeamjigs the base price feels reasonable, but shipping is outrageous the cheapest shipping option was $59.00. That's more than the product I was looking at getting!!!
I just got really into magic about two months ago. I'm having a blast and stuff like this is cool for me cause all the cards are brand new to me. All stuff I've never seen. Gonna probably wait for a price drop or just get a few packs at a time
Agreed, Love the set just like Dom remastered. Will be an easy buy @ $110 or less but not until I see that price. Set is chock full of stuff I want but nothing I need to have.
Ravnica is such a special plane for me… I STARTED playing Magic the Gathering with the original Ravnica: Ravnica, City of Guilds…. But then I stop playing MTG a first time… and I came back with Return to Ravnica… later I took a second hiatus, and did my final comeback at the time of: Guilds of Ravnica. Basically: Ravnica is the set/plane which brought me to MTG and brought me back twice to magic the gathering…. And with that, I’m sad to say that I WILL NOT BUY a Ravnica Remastered product. I already had my mind set before watching your video prof; but watching it confort me in feeling/decision. I love your review videos!!! As you pointed out, I’m really sad… I’m crying inside… considering how special this set is.. but I CANNOT justify spending ~$180 for a booster box or ~$260 for a collector one… WORST: I’m a freaking otaku!!! I WANT those anime art pieces!!!! I can’t believe how badly they failed that remaster product by overcharging for it. Oh well… maybe in a year, it will drop to $90 and I’ll buy it then 😅
I was JUST THINKING about the Cubamajigs right before the sponsor. You might have me sold!!! I have a Ravnica cube and I want to use them to replay Jumpstart as well.
Bought 12 boosters today just for the heck of it and got six shock lands with two of them being foils. Now to just wait for singles to drop. Finally get that bird of paradise as I wasn't lucky to open one.
I wasn't playing MtG during these Ravnica sets, so I don't have any in my collection. I'm disappointed in WOTC with the amount of product they release these days. They should live up to the game they represent and release. They need new management, in my opinion. ALSO - Not enough ads, UA-cam
I bought a box for $160 at release for my birthday and ended up with 6 shock lands, Liliana, Teferi, both Hellkites, and some other good stuff. Unfortunately, there was no Bruvac or Karlov like I was hoping for for my decks. I'm quite satisfied otherwise, though.
As much as I love Ravnica-themed sets, especially since the two sets before War of the Spark were my entry point to collecting MTG cards, the honesty of this analysis of Ravnica Remastered is needed, especially for someone like me who would no doubt have spent plenty of cash on the set. $180 for a booster box of this set is ridiculous and with the amount of products coming out really kills a lot of excitement for it.
Ever since the original Double Masters, it seems like the really fun draft sets have all gotten the same rating: "A" in isolation of the price, "C" or below with the price.
I wanted to support my local shop, so decided to only buy two packs. I got lucky, got a shockland (breeding pool, one I didn't need another of unfortunately), nicol bolas god, and the sexy bird. Cards that just about broke even, but very happy with it.
Thanks for the honesty prof. I passed on this set for a number of reasons, price being one of them. Will grab the singles as I need them. As I watch this video, I see the Murders and Karlov Manor UA-cam video from WoTC is up. The product fatigue is real and taking a toll on the community. My wish for 2024, a major shakeup at Hasbro that puts the game focus back on the players. Wish in one hand...
Just want to pop in once again to mention that not only are the Ravnica Remastered draft boxes selling for $269 here, but the Dominaria remastered boxes are ALSO selling for $269 here.
None of my LGSes were hosting a draft event for this, so I bought 10 packs and drafted at home. The draft was really fun! The notable cards I got out of those 10 packs were 2 shocklands, a borderless Lord of the Void, and two copies of Teferi, Time Raveler (one of which was in foil!). Despite surprisingly good luck with pulling expensive rares, they very much did not pay for themselves, and save the two shocklands, i didn't pull any cards over €5 that i intend to keep. It was a lovely experience and I'd love to play more of this set, but it's simply too expensive for me to justify that, especially with the other releases that I'm interested in later this spring.
I'm being charged 224 and 147 respectively as a store via my distributor. Maybe some stores are getting a better rate than that, but if so it's by a buck or two per box Generally, retailers need to make between 20-30% on LOW margin items to be able to turn a profit (in which case you are praying for high volume), at 275, the retailer is making about 18% on a collector box..... in retail that's a terrible margin, only really redeemable by high volume. With distribution limiting access to product based on previous numbers, most stores don't have access to the kind of product numbers they would need to make that work I'm not sure what you expect me to do as a store Professor. I never want to sell at what you consider to be a "bad" price, but if I didn't I would definitely not be in business today. It's not a pleasant feeling getting squeezed from Wizards, distro, and then add on people influenced by you as well who say things like "I'll wait till it hits 120" Ok.... well, at that point your store is subsidizing your game by 27 bucks a box plus shipping, overhead, processing fees and employee pay, how long do you thing they will stay in business? For reference, I give a 10% MSRP Discount across the board on Games Workshop products and still make a 35% profit. Same with pretty much all my dice, supplies, Books, Board games, other card games ETC. It's JUST Wizards who believes they can charge these kinds of prices and expect the stores to suck up the loss I also find it nearly inconceivable a creator of your caliber didn't have access to these numbers before making your video, and if that's truly the case I offer you full access to my distro account for the purposes of seeing my price on cards anytime you like. I'll send you full archives of the pages in question so there can be no doubt of manipulation. Email me at Idahogameguild @ gmail. com for that
Remember when not only the booster boxes cost that but also the best cards in the set were in those boxes and not in separate products designed for lottery bulshit, which costs $250 to $300 Remember when collecting and trading magic was fun?
@@SamJones1337 I remember when there was one pack per set, those were good times. Now I can't tell what booster to buy and what comes in it vs what's in the $30+ packs I'm never going to get
I'll just be buying the shocks. There's not a lot of drafting at my lgs and since there's no pre-release for this set I can't justify buying boosters, but I nonetheless appreciate the shock land reprints and I hope that the Ravnica/Clue product can lower the prices even further for people that aren't able to pick them up with this set.
A Collector box in Australia ranges from 280 USD (400 Aus) to over 400 USD (over 600 Aus) at current exchange rates. Managed to get a draft box for just under $170 USD, so happy with that.
While I'm not that much of a magic player, I can really relate to your feelings here as a Warhammer player. I'll see new miniatures like Angron come out that look absolutely stunning, but then that fades once I look at the price tag. They are still great one off buys if you get good use out of them (by having say a big draft group to split the cost with for mtg or for Warhammer if you have the materials to paint it and friends to play it with), but I really wish I didn't have to run a cost-benefit analysis every time I was interested in one of these products.
I think Ravnica Remastered Draft Booster Boxes shouldn't cost more than $120. I really think that this set may be the death knell of Remastered Sets going forward. Obviously Innistrad Remastered is already planned, but this may just give WOTC enough of a push to kill the concept after Innistrad.
I try to support my LGS when I can, but I strongly suspect it'll be $200 per box there, which would be hard to stomach. It looks like a very fun set to draft, so ill see if I can do that once or twice
@@LeonJohnson-yi3hg I agree, but Amazon has the list price at over $200 for a Standard draft("play") booster box, though the sale price is closer to $150. We will see what the final price ends up being, this might just be the new 'normal' price for things unless people are willing to just stop buying MtG cards and packs to force them to bring the price back down.
I really don’t know where Prof got his prices on this one. Sure, there are sellers offering draft boxes at $200, but there are numerous sellers online offering them for $165ish, which is a pretty decent price at time of release.
As a big fan of Ravnica, I have to hold myself back from getting a booster box. I bought a box of almost every Ravnica box since the first visit and I'll buy this one too, but I gotta practice self control.
I am publicly acknowledging that this video is not negative, nor overwhelmingly positive. It's just a fair review of a product. Thanks for keeping it real on the value of things.
bought three draft boosters at the store, they were out early at my local walmart and the Fomo got to me. I opened a retro frame stomping ground and an anime Bruvac. So i got enough cards out of it to make the packs i bought worth it but I don't think i would buy them again until the pricing comes back to normal.
Really tought to see the price going for more than 180 dollars, and here in Brazil some of the cheapest boxes are selling for ~255ish dollars. Its getting harder and harder to play magic. Great video as always prof.
I'll probably do one draft, and I'll buy one collector booster for funsies, and to support my LGS, but I won't be buying a whole lot of this set. Really hoping this tanks the price of Bruvac though - I've got 33 Persistent Petitioners from a pauper EDH deck that need a home.
man, the price of your videos is just cosmic for sure), you'll never be suffering from this Hasbro's syndrome of "let's reprint the reprinted we printed before". love your content, love your jacket, love your hair, man))))
About prices and mark up, as a European store i can answer this : If we sell a draft booster box for 180€, we do exactly 2,76€ of profit, taxes included. So yeah i get that people don't want to pay more since they can have boxes at this price all over the internet, but the reality of magic nowadays is that LGS can't align themself to that pricing.
I'll do a draft or so at my LGS but am otherwise skipping this set. One might be able to get a more accurate "MSRP" by seeing what LGS's pay vendors for product wholesale.
can't wait to buy this box, honestyly good or bad review my obsession/love for ravnica calls to me to at least buy a box(i pray i'll have enough for a collector booster of mkm)
Singles will be great for this set, but draft boosters of this price makes me think that wizards is considering a model somewhere between this with the play boosters coming out later. I wouldn't be surprised if we see boxes going forward being between the 120 to 140 range for play boosters. This is also kinda an easy cash grab.
As someone new to the game, I might possibly have a dumb question: What about packs? It's fun to crack open packs every once in a while, and it's easy to budget $20 a month for some casual fun and buy 3 packs randomly. Is that fine?
Sure it is fine! If it is within your budget, that you like the experience and that you are fine with it, then go for it. But, be conscious that this is not the more affordable way to acquire cards. Cheapest way is to follow card pricing and then when reprints like Ravnica Remastered hit the market then 3 months after release you can get good cards for good price. I used to buy sealed box and crack packs. But after 10 years only maybe 1% of these cards are in decks and 99% sitting in a closet. I could sell the 99% but I would never get back even half the amount of money I paid to crack these packs. Looking back if I would have to restart from zero my MTG journey, I would only buy singles I need for my deck and I would have saved a lot of money. Some people say that MTG is an investment, but unless it is Reserved List cards, then it is just a way for them to justify their spendings. Modern cards are not a good investment. I may have spent 10 000$ up to these days on MTG cards and I doubt that an LGS would give me even 5000$ for my collection. A real investment would have been to invest in stock market instead. But couple packs here and there is pretty fine and reasonable in my opinion. I would recommend tho to stay away from buying whole boxes unless you have healthy disposable incomes and that you don't mind the value you get for what you paid. Welcome to MTG. This is a great game. And this comes from a former player. I haven't palyed or buy anything MTG since 2022 and consider myself out or in a long break.
The problem is that no set can be judged in isolation from the price it is offered at. For every set, there is a price at which it becomes a Fail and a price at which it becomes an A+. Even the bad Jumpstart sets would have been fine if they were priced at 20 bucks a box.
The really sad thing is that original RTR/Gatecrash/Guilds boxes are STILL floating around at the under $140 price point for 36 packs, and I got a foil hellkite tyrant in one like 4 months ago.

Instead of saying something like 'if you have the spare cash and this product will bring you joy then go for it' I wish he would say 'I implore you not to support these horribly anti-consumer products so that the trend dies and we get products offered to us at more reasonable prices, saving EVERYBODY, including you, money long term'. While I think that is 100% true I also respect that prof is his own dude and doesn't have to be a consumer activist or anything like that.
@@eewweeppkk is 100% agree, im canadian and now for the past 4 sets boxes ( set-draft and collector) has been at the 360-500$ + tax range wich for some its like 4-6 month of saving and by then we get new sets and we have to spend that saved money on the singles and then restart the process all over again, its hard for us to stay up to date now for deck building and upgrades
@@Klone240not to mention even supposed "non-rotating" formats like commander or modern are now rotating a lot due to the power creep.
The professor has said that in so many past videos it's something we all know already at this point he's just telling people if you don't care about the fact you are getting ripped off you will have fun but I agree with you guys he should be saying it more we have the power but some people sadly aren't keen enough or strong willed enough to hold to their convictions or follow through plus I'm pretty sure he said it in the video it's not worth it multiple times
@@omartoro9578 he did and i do agree, if i really need cards from the remastered i will buy them s single when the prices of some of them might drop
The card stock is AMAZING!!!! im very blown away by these improvements
Around here, we usually see U.S. and Japanese boxes on the shelves, but some sets and products only have U.S. printings.
This was uploaded at the perfect time! I can watch this and then jump into your whatnot stream as soon as im done with the video. Ive never been to whatnot before so lets see what thats all about.
I love cracking packs but at this point I’m just going to buy singles when they drop in price. Hopefully future sets to come get better pricing wise.
I find ordering singles and cracking the envelopes satisfies the itch to crack packs
My LGS is charging $250 for a draft box. I really wanted to hold a little event for my Ravnica DnD group, but that’s firmly out of my budget.
this is the reason why I dont buy at my LGS anymore. they always want 30-50 bucks more than online sellers. even if I wanted to support them - thats is too much.
Dont know what kind of currency you use, but 250 is insane, just buy one online, its already plummeting in price for sealed boxes (about $160~ USD)
make a cube out of proxies! don't let your dreams be dreams
Ask if they are willing to split up the price though assuming five of you $50 is still bit pricy.
Bought a new 3D printer for that. If I sell my old one the difference will be even less.
I'm glad the professor gave this rating to the product!
Although many of his previous videos "promoted" the expansion and how fun it is, regarding it's value, it's simply not worth it. I don't see this getting better in the future with the removal of draft/set boosters.... sad to see this as draft was my favorite format
I'd love to draft it. I'll keep my eyes open if it ever goes down to prices like Dominaria Remastered has reached.
Don’t forget that Wizards sold RVR Draft boxes for $133 on Amazon Prime special way before release, then corrected to $215 per box. I think they’ll fall below $96 per box before the end of this year.
I picked a few up when they were listed at $130. I’ll probably flip them and hope for them to drop to $96 in the future.
These will not drop below 100. Look at every other remastered set
@@samwisegamegeek you mean the same as the $96 Dominaria remastered?
I'm going to my first ever magic event tonight, pretty sure we're drafting this!
I'm happy for even cheaper shocks... I'll buy the singles
Hellkite tyrant retro frame too. Looks clean
lets see if socks can hit 5 dollars
I use parchment paper for my "draft wrappers" and turn the front card over so you can't see. Keeps the low budget feel for my peasant draft cube!
Better than the Karlov event prices, at my LGS RVR was $25AUD but the Karlov events are gonna be $50AUD up from $40AUD during Ixalan ))))): but the Ravnica was the best draft experience I've had in a while
Whenever I get itch to buy something, I watch these videos and prof saves me money. 🙏
So much so i was seriously debating grabbing a box and 4 boxes of cubeamajigs...damn its a shame its so much
How much was the buy-in? My LGS is drafting RVM for 27.00
*RVR FTFY
@@boppertron4929 my lgs was doing it for 20
RMR isn't a remastered set, it's a DRAFT set. Not worth it to buy packs unless it's for drafting, then it's totally worth it
That’s every set. Don’t buy packs unless you are drafting. Buy singles
Except it's also not a worthwhile draft set, higher price for drafting too atleast in my area
It should be 4 buck packs then, which i actually think would be an amazing product if true
Sure. It it’s priced like a remastered set so that doesn’t matter. It’s priced like remastered but it’s a draft set. That’s the entire issue
Thank you so much for the giveaway today, Proff. Didn't win anything but it was neat to see the community come together and get excited 😊
Come on $3-$5 or less regular shocklands!!
Another solid analysis Prof. Great video. Thank you for the work you do for us. Really lucky to have you around. 🙏
Gonna probably wait for a price drop or just get a few packs at a time
I really appreciate this video. I missed Shock Lands when I left MtG long ago. This analysis is top notch.
As you pointed out, I’m really sad… I’m crying inside… considering how special this set is.. but I CANNOT justify spending ~$180 for a booster box or ~$260 for a collector one…
WORST: I’m a freaking otaku!!!
Can't wait to go to my first ever lgs draft night because of this guy
Another cube shout out in this video!
7:22 you showed an unfinity steam vents and a hallowed fountain from the murders at Karlov manor clue game lol
No u
Bought 12 boosters today just for the heck of it and got six shock lands with two of them being foils. Now to just wait for singles to drop. Finally get that bird of paradise as I wasn't lucky to open one.
Wonder how long I should wait for shocks to hit a pricing sweet spot. I'm looking to pick up one of each.
I doubt they’re going to drop below $5 (for cheap ones like Stomping Ground) to $7 (for Expensive ones like Sacred Foundry)
I also doubt they would drop below their lowest price point, 5-7 bucks for each.
As always, thank you for the honest review and guidance Professor!
Okay Prof, you convinced me. I'm buying a box of Dominaria Remastered (and lunch for several days)
Thank you TCC for being so honest with us. This video definitely informed my decision on getting a box
Draft was fun
This set is AMAZINGLY fun to draft.
I am looking forward to drafting this set, hopefully I'll nap something fun.
Also waiting for the Behind the Campus video. As I'm sure it's coming.
my local game store is selling the draft boxes for 280$, totally glad i watched this video ahead of time.
It's at 140 on Amazon as I type this and I'm considering it
I wasn't playing MtG during these Ravnica sets, so I don't have any in my collection.
Looking forward to drafting this set once or twice tonight, then it's singles time!!
3:17 Wah! =3
Based on conversion, it should sell for roughly $234 dollars.
My LGS wanted $45 USD for a draft. 2 Prize packs per player. Absolutely could not justify that price for my wallet.
I’m waiting till box prices fall to pick up this set, I’ve learned my lesson with dmr and dm22. JUST BUY SINGLES FOR NOW.
I feel like this set price is going to drop like crazy after a few months
I'm being charged 224 and 147 respectively as a store via my distributor. Maybe some stores are getting a better rate than that, but if so it's by a buck or two per box
Generally, retailers need to make between 20-30% on LOW margin items to be able to turn a profit (in which case you are praying for high volume), at 275, the retailer is making about 18% on a collector box..... in retail that's a terrible margin, only really redeemable by high volume. With distribution limiting access to product based on previous numbers, most stores don't have access to the kind of product numbers they would need to make that work
I'm not sure what you expect me to do as a store Professor. I never want to sell at what you consider to be a "bad" price, but if I didn't I would definitely not be in business today. It's not a pleasant feeling getting squeezed from Wizards, distro, and then add on people influenced by you as well who say things like "I'll wait till it hits 120"
Ok.... well, at that point your store is subsidizing your game by 27 bucks a box plus shipping, overhead, processing fees and employee pay, how long do you thing they will stay in business?
For reference, I give a 10% MSRP Discount across the board on Games Workshop products and still make a 35% profit. Same with pretty much all my dice, supplies, Books, Board games, other card games ETC. It's JUST Wizards who believes they can charge these kinds of prices and expect the stores to suck up the loss
I also find it nearly inconceivable a creator of your caliber didn't have access to these numbers before making your video, and if that's truly the case I offer you full access to my distro account for the purposes of seeing my price on cards anytime you like. I'll send you full archives of the pages in question so there can be no doubt of manipulation. Email me at Idahogameguild @ gmail. com for that
Especially given Amazon sold a bunch of these preorders for way cheaper this is such a stay away for me
Paying more than $100 for a booster box is criminal no matter how you look at it.
Remember when not only the booster boxes cost that but also the best cards in the set were in those boxes and not in separate products designed for lottery bulshit, which costs $250 to $300
Remember when collecting and trading magic was fun?
@@SamJones1337 I remember when there was one pack per set, those were good times. Now I can't tell what booster to buy and what comes in it vs what's in the $30+ packs I'm never going to get
@@SamJones1337pepperidge farm remembers
Oh boy, I was thinking of buying it, but I'm going to just not bother and just get the singles as they come out.
I think Ravnica Remastered Draft Booster Boxes shouldn't cost more than $120. I really think that this set may be the death knell of Remastered Sets going forward. Obviously Innistrad Remastered is already planned, but this may just give WOTC enough of a push to kill the concept after Innistrad.
they shouldn't cost more than $100 but the players (that are left) and 2ndary sellers have been conditioned to overpay out the ass
I try to support my LGS when I can, but I strongly suspect it'll be $200 per box there, which would be hard to stomach. It looks like a very fun set to draft, so ill see if I can do that once or twice
Remember that Standard draft boxes are now going to be $150+ at release so this is just a little more than a Standard set.
Awful price
@@LeonJohnson-yi3hg I agree, but Amazon has the list price at over $200 for a Standard draft("play") booster box, though the sale price is closer to $150. We will see what the final price ends up being, this might just be the new 'normal' price for things unless people are willing to just stop buying MtG cards and packs to force them to bring the price back down.
I can’t wait to get the new boarder for my beloved Borborygmos Enraged!
jeez for a second i forgot the video was about the new set, i was entrance by the cube box
My LGS is asking $235 for draft boxes... I drove an hour to get one for $180 from a different store in a bigger town.
Important correction needed: shocklands do NOT appear in the rare slot in booster packs. They only appear in the mana slot.
Also all 10 shocklands are printed at "rare" but their pull rate is halved so each shock has the pull rate of a mythic.
man, the price of your videos is just cosmic for sure), you'll never be suffering from this Hasbro's syndrome of "let's reprint the reprinted we printed before". love your content, love your jacket, love your hair, man))))
$5 for a pack, dang that’s a deal! Right now it’s $9 a pack at my lgs
About prices and mark up, as a European store i can answer this :
If we sell a draft booster box for 180€, we do exactly 2,76€ of profit, taxes included.
Just wait until this drops to DMR prices we all know it will. Then it's great value.
Are you amazing professor, I never miss a video of yours, and they are all wonderful content.
Hopefully the Innistrad Remastered set next year has better value for its pricing, 'cause it's gonna be really hard for me to resist that one...
can't wait to buy this box, honestyly good or bad review my obsession/love for ravnica calls to me to at least buy a box(i pray i'll have enough for a collector booster of mkm)
Singles will be great for this set, but draft boosters of this price makes me think that wizards is considering a model somewhere between this with the play boosters coming out later. I wouldn't be surprised if we see boxes going forward being between the 120 to 140 range for play boosters. This is also kinda an easy cash grab.
Well, don't let me shock you, but they're selling most places for $130
pre-selling, that is
My box is arriving tomorrow. Can't wait to draft it!
There is no good argument for not bringing back MSRP. It's just offensive that they still haven't put it back on the packaging.
The problem is that no set can be judged in isolation from the price it is offered at. For every set, there is a price at which it becomes a Fail and a price at which it becomes an A+. Even the bad Jumpstart sets would have been fine if they were priced at 20 bucks a box.
The really sad thing is that original RTR/Gatecrash/Guilds boxes are STILL floating around at the under $140 price point for 36 packs, and I got a foil hellkite tyrant in one like 4 months ago.
waiting at least 3 weeks so that prices stabilize before buying my singles
Aren't there cerialized cards as well?
