This video not only showcases Karen's brilliance, but Richard's too, because he was the one who arranged this medley. We all know that no one sang as beautifully as Karen, but executing those complex harmonies, behind her, is impressive in itself. Anyone who sings knows that finding the correct harmony notes is much more difficult than finding the lead notes. So major props to Richard, the background singers, and the band.

I will forever miss her! NOBODY sings like her any more. The two of them had such a great appreciation for music that no one today can surpass it. RIP Karen!

Karen's voice hits a magical tone that touches our heart, brain and the soul. So gifted. In todays world she needs more publicity and a new honoring of her life's work and talent. Even in death, she can bring attention to the medical condition of anorexia. Will not forget her.
Talk about intonation... At 8:34 she starts the pitch with no auto-tone.
Also someone mentioned their modesty. Our elementary school class got to sing "Sing" with them in Pittsburgh. (What a thrill) But backstage afterwards when she was asked by a student in our group what 'stardom' felt like, Karen replied, 'We'll let you know if that ever happens'. That was in 1974.... already on their way but so humble. I was only 11 years old but remember being astounded by Karen's beauty and her voice.....

Solo in età adulta ho scoperto che si trattava del gruppo musicale Carpenters.nel67 il mio ricordo legato ai Carpenters è quello legato all'ospedale Gaslini di Genova per malattia nefrite ed è legato a Nicla una bambina con cui giocavo, purtroppo deceduta di leucemia. ho conosciuto troppo tardi il nome di questo gruppo musicale che per me ha un forte significato emotivo e non sapevo della morte di Karen.Un caro saluto dall' Italia☀️

As I grew up in south Lousiana I would sit in my car late at night and listen to Karen Carpenter sing. It was a great way to end my day on a great feeling in side.. I miss those times, I cried when she died. like loosing a close friend.... Thanks for the songs Karen, you made so many people happy as they listened to your songs......

I've been a devoted Carpenters fan since I first heard "Ticket To Ride" back in 1970. What we really have here is Karen's perfect voice with the perfect backup arrangement from Richard. They were so gifted to complement each other. We'll not see their likes again.
