At 934 hours that guy needs a medal for breaking a record. Clean fuel is of the utmost importance. You just can't run "rote-gut" & expect long, trouble free, dependable performance. Agree 100%.
Yea the bigger ones have some Good fuel filters. The L2501 & under( including ALL Bx's,B's,& Lx'z) have a 1970's style 1" ×2 1/2" " joke of a filtering system. Just wonder what kind of a filter-water separator that Ck 35 had.
Wow! Really surprised the owner had a problem, with the obvious shape they keep the tractor in. Is the seat a factory option or customized? Water/fuel warning light indicated a problem and ignored, great idea, problem indicated will fix itself, maybe? Sure!
Exactly what needed to be replaced to rectify the problem? My tractor is startling hard and stalling under load after refueling. Fuel filter is not more than 6 months old.
I buy from a national chain (QT). I buy 10 gallons at a time and store in plastic containers in an unconditioned but weatherproof barn from a hour to 3 months. I use a bit of sea foam and a bit of dieselkleen with each container. What else does one do to not feed trash? How much should I worry about growing bugs over 3 months (potential for dramatic temperature and humidity changes in north texas?)
Hmm. there’s a small country gas station 1/2 mile from my property. I take my Dk there fill it up and 3 or 4 plastic Jerry cans. That’s the closest and best fuel I can easily get.
I bought 2 Mr. Funnels that I use to filter the fuel into my tractors. I don't store fuel, I buy it fresh, put it in and when I get low go buy some more. I never had a issue with fuel. I replace my filters once a year no matter the hours.
Isn't there a warning light that comes on when water accumulates in the fuel filter? I would have thought that would have come on before the damage occurred. Or was it coming on and not being investigated by the operator? I have a 100 gallon fuel tank that I bought from Northern Tool along with a 12v pump. I keep it under a reflective tarp on my farm to keep water and sun off of it. I've only been using it for a few months, but so far I haven't encountered a problem. Of course, I also have a fuel/water filter plumbed inline with the hose, and I do check the fuel/water filter on my DK5310SE regularly.
The perfect diesel fuel comes from a name-brand company, hand carried in five gallon yellow jerry cans. Buying only as much as you will use within a month or so. When storing the tractor for several months, add diesel fuel stabilizer to a full tank of fuel, and make certain to run the engine for about 15 minutes to cycle the additive through the system.
Which TYM or Kioti tractor that you carry that does not come with regin, but also is a cab tractor. I own 4 acres , i cut grass only, I don't want a tractor with regin on it. Thanks Larry.
Thanks for a very informative video Mike. I’m not sure why you would spend your hard earned money on a very nice tractor just to fill it up with junk fuel🤦♂️…
I buy in 10 gallon increments and buy the diesel that is put in cars, not the “off road” diesel! Don’t think that the dye they put in it will do the engine any good.
What's trash? I've had a Kubota L3130 for 16 years and never had an issue. I change the fuel filter annually and probably only put on 50-75 hours a year. I now also have a Kioti ck3510 chse. I get my fuel from the local gas station.
I feel you should be able to drain everything, install a new fuel filter put in new fresh diesel and it should startup and run great again. Kioti is a very durable unit that is built to withstand a lot of punishment. I had a similar issue where I bought bad diesel that had gas in it and it ran terrible. I drained it put in fresh diesel and mine runs great again.
You know for a guy who thinks he know it all, how do you know that fuel did not come from a dirty store tank? Also you do know that oil does not come from dinosaur bones? That has been debunked 30 plus years ago. Come on! Get with the times!
Hi Mike, could you please contact me? I purchased the used Kioti CS2210 you all had and had it shipped here to NC. Your contracted driver was great! But unfortunately there is a serious issue with the tractor and things that where supposed to be done but weren't. Zachs got my phone number. Sincerely Scott.
I was told (off road diesel) is the exact same thing as (on road diesel) except its $.75/gal cheaper.......... (RED DIESEL-WHAT IS IT? JANUARY 9, 2021 Story By Mike McGlothlin It’s known as red dye, red fuel, farm fuel, off-road diesel and even cherry juice, and it’s the same ultra low sulfur diesel (ULSD) you’ll find at your local filling station. The only difference is that it’s been treated to an oil-soluble red dye for identification purposes. What purposes? Primarily taxes. Red diesel fuel is taxed significantly lower than regular diesel fuel (i.e. clear fuel, or non-dyed fuel) because it isn’t intended for on-highway use. State and local taxes are factored into the price you pay for clear diesel at the pump, which is said to be allocated to the building, repair and maintenance of your state’s roadways.)

"Give it to somebody that has a Kubota". LOL....that's a good one!

🤣🤣🤣 wish you would show replacing of the fuel system !! $$

Mr. Acct, you are doing EXACTLY what is needed. Rest easy.
That’s exactly what I do. I get my diesel from Shell...
I could not agree more. I run stabil for diesel, PS additive and biocide at every fill up. Diesel doesn't like water at all.

Yes. The water in fuel light was apparently on for months
@@LSE_TRACTOR Ah - well, neglect certainly does has a price tag associated with it.
Thanks Mike, is there a preferred place to get diesel? I’m in Hendersonville, thanks
Re-torque the fuel line vent
Tell me more old wise one … what you talking about Willis
What/where/when type of diesel do you recommend?

Just a case of "more money than brains". A couple of 35.oo$ fuel filter & quality fuel can save Thousands.

A totally unrelated comment but will you be doing some ns4710 videos? Not many to be found on youtube. Thanks.
Todd, I will as soon as the stocks approach something akin to "normal"
