Yamaha Montage M6 Screen Freeze - Non Responsive Screen

- Yamaha Montage M 6 with faulty screen after boot. This unit allows one screen push, then the screen freezes and will not receive any additional input. The unit has to be rebooted, and the error happens again.
Has this happened to you before??
So far my M7 is working fine, but after the Motif ES quality is slightly decreasing with Yamaha flagship models, I had a serious issue with an Old Motif XS with group of keys suddenly not working and I wasn’t the only one. The XF and the first Montage also had problems. I believe Yamaha doesn’t want us to have a keyboard that last forever like old boards and the same happens with KORG and Roland.
A Corrupt Firmware can create some error in the system and freeze the interactions with the keyboard i think ,it can happen on Roland and Korg keyboards too

Hey bro did you know that you can connect a computer keyboard to the Korg nautilus to do your typing I use this all the time

I think I experienced this at Guitar Center on a demo model. I went to KEYBOARD CONTROL but can't remember after that. Go play with those functions.

Just a faulty board, every board that has even been released must have a small percentage that are "bad" I certainly wouldn't go down the road of trying to make this sound like a wider problem. We all know how bad the Nautilus was for problems... they all get ironed out eventually!
Definitely not trying to make it sound like a wider problem. But I'm definitely asking if others have experienced it. Gotta make it known so they can fix it though.
FWIW, we don't know if it is a wider problem until they start getting reported. It's not even been two weeks yet.

What makes this one phenomenal to you?
@@JuliusDeBerryJr Yes, I did, but I always sensed that something was missing. Two aspects that truly make this Montage exceptional to me are, firstly, the second screen - it significantly opens up possibilities and greatly enhances workflow efficiency. Secondly, I had always found the original Montage's sounds to be somewhat thin and lacking dynamism. Now, they sound so much richer and warmer, thanks to the new Analog engine.
I often daydream about composing my own film score, and this Montage genuinely ignites the desire to delve into learning and creating. I am aware that some individuals might express complaints, as they often do. However, personally, I feel that this keyboard represents a substantial leap forward that will be challenging to surpass. I understand that the old Kronos boasts nine engines, and there's no doubt that if Korg releases a new flagship, it could prove formidable. Nevertheless, Yamaha and Korg offer distinct flavors. If you have vanilla ice cream all the time, you might eventually crave the novelty of strawberry, and vice versa!
