Thanks so much for tagging along for this session at the Bellagio! If you have any questions or suggestions I'd love to hear them, so let me know in the comments below. Best of luck on the felt this week 😀
I ❤ the kings fold preflop. Let's say he only does this with AA and half his AK. There's 6 combos of aces and 8 combos of AK. So 3:2 that you're crushed. That Hollywood routine also pushes him hard toward aces. Good fold, next hand.
Yeah, the 1+ minute tank was super sus, but I’m sure the caller in between played a role in his decision making but I just never felt it would be that given he’s in his late 50s or 60s
@Todd Swardenski I don't think you have to be older. If you're younger, you're doing it because that's what you saw your WPT heroes do. Either way, the "Sigh, I guess I'm all in" tell is second only to them showing you their cards. Fold this time and fold the next time, too.
Great vlog and session! I probably don't bet the turn with JJ and an ace on the board. You are correct that it felt like KK or QQ. The ace on the river sucked. Any other card and you probably could represent an ace (and lose more money or pick up a nice pot).
Thanks Todd. Just want to say I enjoy your relaxed style of vlog. Great videography with the drone, editing is great. I really like your explained thought processes and analysis. All in all you have a good nature and attitude and seem like an all round genuinely nice guy. GL buddy.
Yo todd great video. The consistency with pacing is perfect doesn’t feel like your craming info into the viewer like some poker channels do. Keep up the good work
@@toddswardenski seriously! I am curious how well it will be received being across a couple different properties. Going to play the turbo bounty on June 18th but other than that playing cash.
Hey thank you for checking in, I’m sorry I missed this earlier. I’ve been in Indy where I can’t film (yet, but approval is in the works) for the last couple of months. As soon as I’m able I’ll be putting another video up with a handful of updates about my last couple months and a new challenge that I’m getting ready to kick off. Hope you’re doing well!
First, great to see you back! We all know it takes an incredible amount of work to make one of these videos and we do appreciate it. Second, misery loves company and I’ve taken a beating over the past month, sorry to hear that you’re in the same boat our were. Third, we were not at the table and that is the beauty of live poker…you had a read, you went with it and it turned out you were right on the feeling of not being in the hand and saved yourself $2,200+!!! Congrats on booking a win. Hope to see you again soon!
Thank you! I’m on a pretty miserable downswing at the moment which makes filming a session one of the last things I’ve been worried about when I play. Looking forward to getting back on the wagon with the series around the corner and all of the juicy games I can ask for 🙂
Your turn bet with jacks in hand 5 seems fine to me. You don't want either of the flushes drawing for free and a 6, 8, or 10 on the river make it hard for you to call any river bet. Additionally, it makes it more likely your opponent checks the river, which effectively saves you whatever amount he would have bet after the ace paired (assuming that amount was greater than the $100 you bet, which seems probable to me.
Thanks for the input! I guess we could get worse to call on occasion if he does have one of those two. I think I might have considered bluffing at it if the ace didn’t pair on the river.
Interesting that in the second KK hand you thought he was Hollywooding when he really was working through a tough decision. I think we see a lot more of this now that there are a lot of poker vlogers who work through those same decisions with AK and frequently go all in if they have relatively short stack depths.
I really like your fold with pocket kings pre-flop. Your thought process was on point in my opinion. Considering you’re up against two opponents I would have folded there as well. Maybe sometime soon we will cross paths at the horseshoe Indianapolis or Hard Rock Cincinnati, I’ll buy you a beer and maybe have the opportunity to play some cards together. In the meantime, keep up the great work and best of luck. Safe travels
I’ve been in Indianapolis for the last month where I’m still waiting to get filming approval unfortunately. I’m told we’re only a couple days away from approval and I’ll be uploading ASAP to give some life updates and start a bankroll series with a much more regular release schedule. Thanks for checking in! 🙂
@@toddswardenski awesome I love hearing that. That 2/5 1k cap game in Indianapolis looks great. I love the colour of the chips and the cards there too haha. Those green chips are 🔥🔥. Looking forward to seeing your next vlog. Keep crushing.
wat a set up hand for u to lose...poker can be brutal. i wouldve probably called thinking 'y go all in if you had aces??', but ur a better player for laying that hand. 👍
Suggest you tweak your camera angle to include more of the table and below-the-neck views of your opponents opposite you. Pretty standard for poker vlogs these days.

What a nice surprise to see you back! Poker content is top tier, along with the intro/outro. 10/10 overall :)
Much appreciated, Marc!

Definitely enjoying your Vlogs. Keep up the great work Todd!
Appreciate the support, man! I’ll make sure to get No. 9 out faster than 3 weeks this time 😅
Nice to see you back dude!!! Awesome vlog Todd 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks, Cesar! Good luck this week
Nice intro video. Transitions are slick… you definitely spent time on editing this. Good job and maybe see you during the WSOP.
Thanks Dan! I’ll be around for most of the series. Looking forward to the madness!

@@danlevitan396 I’ll be in the cash street around town for the bulk of it. I’m really good at completely bricking tournaments 😂
@@toddswardenski since it’s a turbo, more my speed! But yeah, cash is where it’s at.

@@toddswardenski Dear Todd. Please please help me...
8:28 I'd bet turn ($100 ok size). Im not sure what kind of protection would that be? What am I protecting here?
Hey Todd,
Love the content! Keep up the great job! Do you offer coaching?
I’m not a coach, but I have one I’d be happy to share. Join my discord server, shoot me a DM and I’d be happy to connect you two
Is that you on the CLP call in show from the video today?
Yep, that was me playing like a donkey! 😅

KK fold was automatic and it turns out he wasn't "Hollywooding"...was just nuts.

I like that fold regardless i woulda thought that was aces too. Better to be lucky than right i guess
You just don’t see people 5-bet 230bb with less than Aces very often..
