My son 10u is a contact hitter, he is smaller side so not a ton of power. Previously used the ADV but it cracked. Should we go for connect or straight alloy of these two bats?
I would suggest the connect as it will give the best "bang for your buck" as a contact hitter bat, but also give him great performance. If budget is a concern, get the 1pc. If not, spend the extra on the connect.
Not really. Most composite bats should not be used below 50 degrees just because the colder weather can make the composite material more brittle and can lead to premature breaking. Warmer weather can loosen up the composite layers but with actually heating it up with a heat source there would be minimal difference in performance.
I have a question if you don’t mind. My son uses the catx usssa 28” -10. How would i go about the catx USA bat? 28” 17oz or should i get the 29” 18oz? TIA
I would keep the weight the same if he is comfortable with the 18oz he currently swings. Length will not really change much with his swing. Weight is most important. IF anything the extra inch will help him with those outside pitches.
The question asked here was how does is compared to the CAT Connect (USA), not the CAT 9. We're referring to the new CAT X Connect hybrid (USA) vs. the CAT Connect @@SmashItSportsSIS
Just got the connect one last night. Can't wait to have BP today to compare to old cat.
Thanks so much was looking at these 2 bats and needed a review of both!
Glad I could help!
This was super helpful. Thank you!

Does weather factor in the performance in any of these bats?

Is it an alley barrel?
The Cat X is 100% Alloy
The Cat X Connect is Carbon Handle with alloy barrel
The Cat X Composite s 100% Composite
Which is best for slow swingers for more pop
2 piece with full composite

How does the CatX connect compare to last years Cat Connect?
The Cat X has been higher reviewed than the previous Cat 9.

I does hurt your hands from vibration
The 1 pc will have more of a sting than the 2pc model.
