This is probably a weird thing to say, but these series are so much more fun when I'm actually watching and not just have it on in the background like I did for the last few series.
Take your builder over and embark to that tribal village on the Island off Rome to get it. Your builder can embark since you have that tech and if you don't grab it someone else will soon. With good goody huts it could be another settler
Turkey would a really cool DLC civ. Maybe they could gain diplomatic visibility, trade-routes, combat bonuses, etc. vs players who are at war with third parties. They’d prosper as a result of others’ warmongering.
How are you getting free builders in new cities ? What did I miss ? Is this because of ancestral hall in government plaza ? I always thought it just gives 50% more production towards settlers.
I have a question for the install of the Mod packages. How do I begin? I went to the site, signed up, found the mod's and from there I can't find what to do. Does it matter if I run it on an Apple? Or is this just a Windows base version? Thanks for any help in the matter.
Why not add an extra layer of challenge potato by not taking territory that did not belong to rome until you reclaim the old roman empire. For example dont Conquer russia untill you control all of the Mediterranean, france, north africa, turkey, and the british isles.
James Hamm, because of the episode numbering hick-up you may not be aware that this is episode #3, last episode #2, France, Poland and Greece in quick succession declared war on Rome. Potato then convinced Germany to war on France which distracted France enough that he could concentrate on a fighting retreat from the double whammy on his Eastern Front. It was a regular world war (since the world is limited to mainly Europe). Quite scary for Rome in the early stages, he lost two cities, one to Poland (which was the city without a monument that had flipped to him earlier) the other to Greece before he could build his defenses, he hadn't even researched archers yet. This is a very exciting episode, to see him come back so successfully, but if you missed episode #2, I recommend giving it a view (sorry for some of the spoilers).
I kinda wish that the mod would stop at 500 AD. And that you can't get anything except ancient units. And provide the civs with extra units and change the great people as well.
This map sucks if you start as Russia. No mountains and very few hills. All production comes from lumber mills. You get almost zero campus adjacency bonus and very little industrial adjacency bonus.

Agreed!

..and so the Roman Republic has almost fully recovered the lost provinces in Illyria after the barbarian invasions that ravaged the Classical Era.
The historic mod was definitely a great addition i slapped it onto my mod collection and been having a blast with it
this is my favorite Civ series for sure, i wish it was already uploaded so i can binge watch them all
You need to control very fast the Tirreno sea and colonize Sardegna and Sicilia before France or Spain. Could be very dangerous not do it.

I mean... where did you expect to find it?
One of your most entertaining series for sure!
Thumbnail is wrong it is for the second ep :P

This is my favorite series so far. Do you ever think of this game like a model of history?
How come some of your units were moving so fast on roads? I don't remember that being a Roman benefit, or is it something from a mod?
Not sure its been a while
The "Historic speed" mod increases road movement (dunno exact details)
0:50 XD

It is the ancestral hall
it gives both bonuses
Potato you have commited a sin to the buff god. How do you put in persia, egypt, and nubia but not gilgabro!!? And arabia
Haven't played this mod yet but maybe it doesnt support TSL for those civs.
R.I.P. Gilgabro
Ok just one question. What is good in it when you put so many city so colse at each other? They can't develope.
very easy to reinforce.
Patavium needs to become Venice :)

Why do you have a national epic building??Is it from a mod or update ?
Its a mod wonderfull wonders I think

you know losing a city or two isn't so bad because later on you'll be able to declare a war of reconquest right?
You know its really condescending phrasing to write a sentence with this structure right?
ouch

When did France, Greece an Poland declare war?

Jisoo Kim that would kinda defeat the purpose of civ. You now advancing through ages and stuff. But yeah that would be cool.
I feel kind of similar, but for the Reinaissance. I like every era until the modern.

The title is wrong it’s tame not Rome jeez potato
