Haley BOOK RECOMMENDATION - ONE OF THE GIRLS BY LUCEY CLARKE - please read this book I am begging you. it was so good. 6 women in Greece for 4 nights for a bachelorette party, and hen party and then all have secrets and different motivations to go. you get the perspectives of all of them and there are so many reveals throughout the book and it will keep you guessing until the final moment. perfect summer thriller i love this book with my whole heart please read it.
I’m halfway through The House Across the Lake right now and it’s AMAZING, already a 5 star read for me. I was so shocked by the poor reviews on good reads too! Seriously one of the best thrillers ever
haley i am LIVING for your thriller era! but if you do get back into romances, would you pleaaaaaase do a video recommending Non-Spicy romances? love you and your channel!!
You read so many great thrillers! The two Riley Sager books you didn’t read, Home Before Dark and The Last Time I Lied are my two favorites by him. Can’t wait to see you pick them up! I also think you’d like Sheri Lapena’s thrillers!
I've started reading some English books for learning vocabularies as I want my English to improve, also I like reading a lot. I always am so curious how you're able to read a lot of books in a few days and I'm so obsessed with you. 🥰🥰
I've been reading through Riley Sager's backlist purely because of Haley's videos and honestly, as somebody who rarely reads thrillers, I'm surprised I've managed to read so many just in the span of a short few weeks. Thanks, Haley!
Haley you should read a Morgan Matson book! She’s my favorite YA author and just like “Better than the movies” some of her books include playlists. I would recommend starting with “the unexpected everything”, but the ones with playlists are “since you’ve been gone” and “Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour”. I just read Better than the movies and it’s definitely a top favorite now!!!
Love your book videos… especially the thriller books, which I am addicted to. My favorite was In my dreams I hold a knife…. Especially the last line. I was literally stunned. Have wanted to read Riley Sager books, but they don’t get very good reviews- but after listening to your reviews, I am going to pull the plug and read them!!!
no spoilers for the comment section-but y'know that *certain* book in your stack that has unexpected weird, paranormal vibes that you can't talk about? 👀 your enjoyment of it makes me reeeeeally need you to start exploring horror.
Home before dark by Riley Sager, so good but creepy if you are alone. Turn of the key by Ruth Ware! The Wives by Tarryn Fisher, more of a psychological thriller. Highly recommend!
I had the exact same review about the house across the lake. I decided to buy it because of your video where you read it. I loved it and it was so crazy in every way and I could imagine it so vividly in my head as well.
I soooo agree about My Summer Darlings! Especially after loving The Hunting Wives, I was like how is this written by the same author?? 😭 such a bummer!
Wow I feel like I was being told this insane story these all sound sooo good! Love your thriller era Haley!! My first read of August is Crave from the Tracy Wolf series. I’m really excited! I might read some Colleen Hoover too
I literally felt exactly the same way about that Riley Sager book!! I felt like it was so so good and I couldn’t put it down because I felt like there was always a big plot twist that I needed to see through. Then I saw the reviews and I was left a speechless!! I couldn’t believe how harshly people reviewed The House Across the Lake!
I read the house across the lake and I have mixed feelings about it but it also got me interested in reading more thrillers so this video was perfect for me!
i recommend the naturals series by jennifer lynn barnes, the cousins by karen m mcmanus and the truly devious series by maureen johnson for ur thriller era! more ya but yea :)
You need to try some thrillers from Natasha Preston. I personally love ther thrillers i have only read a couple but my favorite one so far is "The Lost" i think u may enjoy her books
I always just get so excited when your monthly book videos come out!!! helps me find new books and i love seeing peoples recommendations! does anyone know if her goodreads is public… would love to see her ratings at the time etc!!
I recently bought Dead Girls Can’t Tell Lies by Chelsea Ichaso, I haven’t read it yet but the plot sounds interesting and the fact that I haven’t seen anything about it anywhere doesn’t really scare me since it will allow me to have my own expectations!
To be fair, it's literally her job. But I will give her this--she DNFs a lot less than I do. I'm proud of her for powering through some 2- and 3-star books to complete a series. Hashtag: Dedicated.
Hi I’m from Austin tx too! I love your channel so much I bought that book you read based in Austin “The lifeguards”specifically the Barton area I always swim at the springs and I absolutely love there’s a book based on it ❤️😍
I recommend “Blink” by K.L Slater. I read it on audible and was absolutely hooked and could not stop listening to it. Kind of a mystery thriller I think not super well-known but I absolutely love it and I think you would love it after getting into thrillers it’s not too creepy but still a good thriller read!
I recommend Tarryn Fisher. She's one of my top favorite authors! Her writing is beautiful, emotional. Mud Vein is an all-time favorite, kind of a character growth story to me while being a thriller. The romantic subplot is emotional too. maybe consider looking up triggers, but beware of spoilers with that. Marrow is a story of a morally grey girl and gruesome stuff, dealing w/ societal issues and justice. It has a wtf twist in the last quarter-ish that made me drop the book! It does have cameos/ties to Mud Vein, so reading MV 1st may be good. However, these books are not for everyone. Marrow had some important topics but was a bit gruesome for my squeamish self at times. Mud Vein is just heavy cuz of sad stuff. But she does have romances, as well as other thrillers I need to read!
My favorite book this month was Kulti by mrs Mariana Zapata 😫😫 I literally still can’t get over how much I loved and enjoyed that book. You started the six star thing for me and this was my first six star book💙.
@@musicclarenson8953 the writing felt kinda like a wattpad writing, especially in the inner monologues 😅 but I loved the characters the slow burn and the banters I also really wanna read the wall of winnipeg and me
@@Sarah-ss6fr honestly her writing does give off Wattpad vibes now that you’re saying something! I however loved it regardless!! I think you should read twowam and/or kulti before you shut her off completely:) I enjoyed twowam!!! And you read how much I loved kulti

Literally didn’t see it coming and couldn’t tell if I hated it or not
Home before dark by Riley Sager, so good but creepy if you are alone.
Turn of the key by Ruth Ware!
The Wives by Tarryn Fisher, more of a psychological thriller. Highly recommend!
You should also read the final girl support group! It’s very similar to the final girls you read but less thrasher ( at least so far that i’ve read )
I had the exact same review about the house across the lake. I decided to buy it because of your video where you read it. I loved it and it was so crazy in every way and I could imagine it so vividly in my head as well.

I’ve only read 4 books this year, all by the same author.. idk how ppl read so fast it takes me sooo long to finish a book 😭
Audiobooks on the drive to/from work help me.
Right. Like don't people go to work or school?😭
