- Enjoy one of the first Silver Strike Bowling longplay videos on UA-cam. Five 3-game series are played. This is the Bowler's Club version of SSB 2007. Software version is 1.00.22.

Probably the best-looking bowling game as of far. A few glitches in the physics though (48:27 ball bouncing WTF!) It also seems too easy to pick up splits if the pit is so bouncy. This game reminds me a lot of what Brunswick First Strike Bowling (a PC game planned for release in 1998) was supposed to be like, the same level and style of graphics. Such a shame that game was cancelled.
The game was released as Brunswick Pro Circuit Bowling, and the game itself are in 3d and has extremely professional physics. I still have it, and sometimes playing with it. that game is the best bowling game so far, since 98...
duffywolves no, First Strike was a game set to be released in 1999 (sorry for the mistake I meant 99 not 98!) as a spiritual successor to Circuit. It had far more realistic graphics that were very similar to Silver Strike Bowling and was developed by GameFX. It never got beyond a few screenshots.

Frank Lin As far as cancelled Bowling games go, there are many. Some were very promising such as a planned PSP Bowling game by Lab Rats (who developed Strike Force and Fast Lanes, which use the same engine that Circuit did).
The problem with Circuit was its physics engine was primitive, even though it is so realistic by today's standards. Everything is calculated ahead of time which is why the loud crashing sound is heard when you hit 9 pins or more. The scenes were separately rendered and often you can't see the ball's reaction because the camera shifts from the "ball roll" scene and the pin deck camera view a tad too early. Brunswick Pro for PSP/PS2/Wii tried to correct this. It was even on iOS for a while but was taken down after a year for unknown reasons. (recently the PS3/360/3DS version was released on iOS and Android, it sucks)
Frank Lin oh ok, i was then not right about it. but for sure pro circuit is one of the best realistic bowling game. so pity since almost 20 years...

Yeah, those physics can be crazy at times. As for the splits, if there are odds they can be made and therefore pins can bounce off the back wall. Therefore the hardest split in the game is the 4-6. The sometimes crazy physics were even more so in the original 2004 version and is less pronounced in the Live version.

@@justinhaynes89 On the first ball, yes. It gives the ball a better angle into the 1-3 pocket, increasing the chances of getting a strike.

@@TaimTheyoutuber even if you had the files needed to run the game, there are several prerequisite requirements for the game to even be playable. The game checks for the presence of an I/O board (which also contains the game-specific security chip) and CID board (which is game series specific and has a separate online and offline version). In addition, there is no mouse or keyboard support whatsoever; the game is only looking for inputs through the I/O board. Lastly, the hardware platforms the game will run on is very limited (and at least 15 years old) and it will not start if that requirement isn't met.

Adam Atkins The lighter the ball, the higher it's maximum speed. Makes it easier to convert some spares since you have a little higher margin for error .

Question. In this game If the the ball is thrown at 100 MPH. Does it only take 2 seconds for the ball to hit the pins?
You can't throw it that hard in this game. If you roll the trackball too fast (in the same vein as trying to get maximum distance in Golden Tee) you will trigger an overhit which counts as a foul.
