Do ya think that hub is slightly pressed onto the shaft by the axle nut? Wondering (if hub doesn't fall apart) if it would still be hard to remove the hub??

Can you please tell me the socket size for the large nut that holds the rear bearing? I'm going to do this job on my own car and need to know which one I should buy

As a novice, wish you could of added some text graphics of info on:
- what size & length where those x2 bolts you used to press off the initial part/ name of part ?? (We're all here to learn ;) )
- what size socket/ & its minimum depth do I need to have to remove that large nut under the cap ? (It looked a considersble depthed socket)
- you didn't add any grease beforw putting the full hub assembly on, was this due to there being some all already on there thst we cant see
OR none being required ?

Hi Rod, thanks for the comment and I appreciate the suggestions. To be honest, though, it has been so long since I've done this and I don't even own the car any more that I can't any your questions reliably. I would suggest a repair manual of some kind. That is how I did it!

i know this is an old video but is the process the same on a 92-95 lantra, the break drum has no bolt holes to get it off. but from the looks of it i have to get the bearing out to get the hub out. i cant find any videos online this is the closest model.
About 2wks back I replaced L&R rear bearing assy on my 1995 Accent, and I always apply a thin film of grease on the spindle so the bearing won't stick.
I did not see you stake the nut into the groove on the shaft.
Good advice! I don't remember if I staked the nut or not, it's been so long since I've done this video. Good observation though!

The torque setting for the 1995 Hyundai Accent rear axle nut is 130 - 159 Lb ft. I don't know if it's the same for the model in the video, although the bearing assembly looks the same as the 1995 model.

we have a 2005 Elantra......trying to get rear drums off....this car does not have the threaded holes to press the drum off. I removed the assembly line screw, whacked it with a hammer and pried with a bar to no avail. I do not see a hole to back off adjuster.....do you think removing the bearing nut would let the drum slide off?
There has got to be a way to get that off. Assuming you have already, what was the outcome?
Do we need greasing?? Or not??

There are other considerations. There are ton of videos on UA-cam showing how to do that. I've done it, and it's not that bad at all.
This is about to be me, it could be my bearing could be something else but if it’s the bearing I’d much rather attempt it myself.

Breaker bar, impact wrench, penetrating fluid. Keep it going, it'll come out.
I have 2016 accent (same exact hardware setup). Is there a torque setting for the crown nut? I cannot find any info on this online. Aside from snag, seems as easy as changing a tire...thanks for sharing.
You're right, the job isn't that hard at all. As far as torque specs, I used my Haynes manual, that I no longer have. I'm sure it's available somewhere online or in your local parts store.
