This video is from 2008, twelve years ago. Now in september 2021 we’re afraid that will happen very soon with the Cumbre Vieja (means Old Peak) volcano in La Palma, Canary Islands.
It may not happen in Hawaii in your lifetime; it may not happen in the Cape Verde Islands in your lifetime, but it happens much more often than you think. Jimmy Buffett wrote "Volcano" about Montserrat 30 years ago. I doubt the people who lived there thought it would happen in their lifetimes, but it did in 1995. Get a copy of "Disaster: A History of Earthquakes, Floods..." by John Withington. Tens of thousands of victims and nearly all of them thought it wouldn't happen in their lifetime.
200 earth quakes a day, no sign of the volcano eruption ending and we are approaching the rainy season, not looking good but honestly I think the est coast is safe!
water to steam hmmmm, that would crack rock and you get a steam explosion..... The ratio of volume between water and steam is thousands to 1 that is a lot of pressure.
@Semperfuck the thing is, they always say that it WILL happen. But its always ''it could be tomorrow, or in a million years''. Wich makes me conclude that the chances of it happening while im alive are very little.

Today in La Palma has been the first heavy rain since the eruption started.

What the hell does that geologist think is going to happen when he applies water pressure between the two bricks. Freaking pointless.
It’s happening.
