This program is described as to have been held at BES School, Dadar and Ravindra Natya Mandir simultaneously!! The background display shows that the place is none other than Shanmukhananda Hall, King's Circle. Is this raag Pooriya? And Singer Kaushiki Chakravarty is the same as "Desikan'? May be she has changed or extended her name. That apart, she is versatile talented singer we all owe Pt Ajoyji.
This program was actually held on Ravindra Natya Mandir. The occasion was Platinum jubilee of BES School Dadar. The background display is for next program on another day at Shanmukhananda Hall. Singer Kaushiki Chakrabarty / Desikan are same.

The venues etc do not matter.I have been yearning to listen or to get a clip or two of yet another Bengali Classical young singer Mausami Chakravarty whom i have listened on Bengali channel long back. Her rendition in Raag Gunkali was mind blowing. I had recorded it on moblie but the quality was very bad. I am eager to listen her. Can you say something on this Sir?

Bengalis are very literate people and extremely talented. Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Maharaj Prabphupada was born in Bengal. He taught the world vegetarianism and Krishna Consciousness. He said “mayavadi “ teachings drove Bengal to Hell” . He is best known worldwide for his books on Sri Krishna Bhagavan.
Swami Vivekananda was also from Bengal but he was a meat eater, he ate Beef in America, and His guru Ramakrishna ate chicken in India.
You must not judge Swami Vivekananda and Shri Ramakrishna with your little intellect. Brahmo Gyanis are beyond rules of society. Shri Ramakrishna never ate chicken as chicken was considered inauspicious at those time. But he touched his finger in meat of sacrificed goat of Maa Kaali and put the finger in his mouth just for the meat was 'Prasad' of Maa. He ate fish that was not a problem as fishes are considered as staple food in coastal areas. Swami Vivekananda reached turiya state and beyond so veg or non veg did not matter. Even if we eat whole chickens of world or eat only leaves, till we can not become micrometer of Swamiji and Shri Ramakrishnaji in 10^6 births. In only 39 years what Swamiji did for Hindus, even no veg eater can not attain in million years.
So, stop judging them with little intellect and vision.
You are not enough aged to talk or understand about swami vivekananda and sri ramkrishna ji.but you are right about bengali's are inborn talented.
