Man, there's perks of having big and small casts. With big ones the dances can look great but in small casts everything goes faster and you seem to have a better connection with everyone. That's why I love community theater.
i find it interesting how they have a seperate boy in the opening number from jojo, bc its usually jojo. interesting choice! im interested in seeing how the rest of the show played out
I think the boy is supposed to be a boy in our modern world who is reading a book about this, or at least that’s how it is for the version I’m in for this. The cat talks to them, Jojo, etc.
I am SO excited for the younger group in my community that's doing Seussical Jr.!!! We have a female Cat in the Hat and a female JoJo though. IT'S GONNA BE AWESOME!!!
This was so well performed! My school recently did the Seussical, it wasn't as spectacular as this, though it was fun. We had less people, less props and not as much fancy lighting as this. I still think we did great.", we also weren't as loud and our words were well enunciated.
my HS is doing Seussical and our dance moves are gonna be pretty similar. I'm super excited to be the Assistant Stage Manager! If you live in Tucson Az, come by Empire High, March 9-11 2017!!

That Cat solo was one of my favorite parts from the original, especially the "I'll pop up here and there, and you'll never know where, who, or what I might be!" and the "Hold on to your hat!" lines. I played the Cat in the Hat a few years ago, and I wish those lines had been kept in, because they're so much fun. Still love the show, though!

In our production, we have a 17 ft tall, 6ft wide hat that we all pop out of.
