CALMING REACTIVE BEHAVIOUR

Julie Brewer from Little Tykes Dog Hub was asked by a vet to speak to the owner of this dog. They were struggling to help her with her fear of people and dogs. She was extremely reactive to both.
This is our 3rd session together. She is coping with my presence, she is brave enough to approach me, but only when food is in the picture, otherwise her preference is to keep her distance, or if she feels that I am too close and she is prevented from leaving by the lead she will try to scare me away. The owner reports that she is not barking as much at strangers, but this might be due to good management. In this session we decided to start working on her behaviour with other dogs.
