    I started golfing just over a year ago and no swing has ever worked for me. Until I studied Bryson’s swing. I’ve tried to copy his swing, and the closer I get to copying his swing, the lower my scores have gotten. I recently shot my lowest score (92) using his swing. If I could putt and chip I think I could get it to the low 80’s , but his swing is genuinely so simple and straightforward that I picked up on it almost instantly.

      i started putting like him, fully extended arms and it’s helped a ton. i’m far more confident in my ability to control the pace with that kind of putting grip.
      Long Live Bryson!

      BD’s swing features very few moving parts. However, what does move moves very fast!

    I love that he credits Moe Norman as an influence on his technique.
    Everything B does is unique and different.
    And THAT’S what makes him so fun to watch.

    I actually tried to do brysons swing on the range, probably a poor man’s Bryson swing, but I did the straight up and down, and the ball flight was actually crazy good, higher and straighter.

      Same. Keep hands higher, swing on one plane. Ball flight should be higher, purer and more consistent.

    I would do an analysis of his irons through the "for fun" club challenges on UA-cam.
    The upright lie is so much more than anyone of us can get so it would be nice to see the analysis of him using a normal 7 iron

    Thank you for doing this! This was awesome. 2 questions.. is impact fix and impact plane but shallowing downswing still a single plane swing? Or would this not work on a tilted metal ring plane trainer? Second, @13:10 do you think the knee flex at impact is more about an accuracy move? Used to stretch the bottom part of the arc for less variation of club path and club face maintained along that path using the knees? Moe Norman and Graves describe this pattern of Moes with irons that the knee flex through Impact increases the length of space the club face is square relative to desired path.

    • @OrvinReyes
      @OrvinReyes 18 днів тому +1

      as long as shaft is same at setup and impact, it is single plane. it's just that bryson has a fast swing speed and hip rotation that the shaft shallows

      I don’t think it has more than set up with the arms and vertical follow through high hand finish and knee flex in common with Moe’s swing.. he’s doing quite a few things in the swing rotationally and with the wrists and arms moe did not do

    • @braga786
      @braga786 18 днів тому

      His swing is his own, but it is a single plain setup. I've been learning the single plain swing, but have been picking up on some of Bryson's take on it. I've had some phenomenal results. And if I'm wrong I'm wrong.

    • @thegolfingmusician6345

    It would seem to me that higher hands would flatten the lie angle, therefore, causing a fade pattern. You are saying it does the opposite. Can you please explain in more detail?

    • @PeteMD
      @PeteMD 18 днів тому

      May be wrong but think that is more a problem with irons

    • @laogx4026
      @laogx4026 18 днів тому

      Its a fade if you come out to in path its a draw if you come in to out.. the tendency of a weak grip is to keep the face open through impact..

    • @hitbombs
      @hitbombs  18 днів тому

      Great question @floridaguy4373 - A face pointing right of target line helps start the ball to the right. When the club path is to the right of the face, the ball will draw back

    How about one of the weakest left hand grips known to man......

    • @hitbombs
      @hitbombs  16 днів тому +1

      Very weak left hand. Good example showing that left elbow toward target doesn’t force a strong grip

    • @russellhoguephd7925
      @russellhoguephd7925 6 днів тому

      The weak left hand is also a bit of an optical illusion. Check it out for yourself. If you have what appears to be a really weak left hand when the wrist is fully uncocked, then you lower the hands to the “normal” starting position and you will see that in order to keep the face square, it will appear much stronger.
      In other words, his grip isn’t nearly as weak as it appears in his setup.

    Although I like him he was also incredibly lucky to win that. Spraying driver after driver left and right into deep rough and then getting away with it.
    This obsession with driving it 300 or more is bonkers. They both would have been better off hitting 3 woods and taking an easy 8 or 9 into the green.
    He only won because Rory choked on two 3 foot puts.
    Either way well done to him.

    • @PeteMD
      @PeteMD 18 днів тому +2

      He broke his driver head after round 3, up to which point he was striping it crazy straight. He had to take a new one out for round 4 which he struggled keeping straight

    • @hitbombs
      @hitbombs  18 днів тому +2

      Imagine how much better he would have scored with a few more fairways hit (like the earlier rounds) Definitely had some luck with good lies, but better to be 350 yards in the rough vs. 275 (usually).
