@@Stuni how do I convince my mates that what I'm saying is the best route, without wasting seconds and all. Cause I'll find that they listen to me most times but they just take too much time thinking before they make s play.
@@dantewills631in terms of what your talking about. It’s all about trust. If ur teammates trust you then they will do it, and at the same time, it’s about perspective too. Just because you think a call is right doesn’t mean the whole team thinks it is, BUT honestly, if you’re just playing rank. Don’t be a hard IGL. Please please please do more. Apex is such a W game and there is such a lack of this info out there. I love the game but it's so difficult to get people better or around your level to play with you because no one wants someone "Dragging them down". People being left to just figure this stuff out on their own is brutal so stuff like this is amazing. Great video!
Nice vid! Im looking forward to more advance episodes in the future. Quick tip, if you right click on the video and turn on Stats For Nerds you can see the codec UA-cam used to process the video. There is avc1 and vp09, with vp09 being the higher quality codec that is usually reserved for larger creators but you can force it by just rendering the final video in 1440p. Thought Id mention it cause I enjoyed the video and I can tell the effort it took to make and its a shame that youtube processed it with the worse codec 👍
Damn this 8 min video explains so much stuff that took me multiple 20 min videos to explain. Props, Stuhni! Absolutely great job, I hope you continue working on these vids. Great to have more people talking about the Basics of the comp scene.
Been playing anchor in forever but every time i play with like hardstuck masters players, i have to play IGL and frag at the same time. They never look ahead or have a game plan. I am not a great leader, but no one else wants to turn their brain on. you can't just run around without an IGL it's lowkey frustrating
I really like this style of video. Informative and brings us casuals into a better understanding of how we can grow in our playstyle. Subscribed for this one 👍🏽
type of content is great bro, explains a lot on how to play especially in ranked as you need to do a lot of this naturally, top 300 in s1 but took a break from games so im trying to get back up there!
Great video. Just some notes for the next one: -you could reduce the intro a bit, take off the early montage and get straight to it. The algorithm would like that more. -wished there was more explanation and breakdown for the specific scenarios/roles that were presented. Kinda like a play-by-play or vod review thing. Aside from those, this video was well made and looking forward to the next one.
Just watch other IGLs to learn when to take what position or fight. Also get into zone reading and rotation overall (macro) and if you get comfortable start to give more calls to your mates when u have an overall view over the battlefield to act more coordinated (micro). It takes much awareness so playing the game for more experience is often the first step to get into IGLing
really cool, also looking forward to more! noticed a few typo's and some of your inserts are way too fast, they are not even up for half a second.. chill, let me look at the stuff you bring onto the screen.
@@Stuni 80% were okay, just some. Like we're you quickly show all legends, it's just so quick. I do love your pace when talking and getting through the info though - dont slow that down!
Is it possible to be all three at once? My friend who I used to play apex with basically functioned as both igl and fragger, and anchor a lot of the time
I assume ur talking about esports players. Most of them are used to that. Just like in any sports too. There will be screaming, but that’s just the culture of sports. Also, most players are on high adrenaline when competing, so screaming isn’t really a problems since everyone is so tense. Everyone at that point understands that the screaming is due to the intensity of the game.
I think I’m the intro, the fragger should probably be separated into entry fragger/cleanup fragger(dps) like the difference between Hal and Evan. Don’t mean this as disrespect though, this is great content
I’m a dummy but I had a basic understanding of this already. Sadly I’ve tried all 3 roles with my Apex buddy and none of them fit ‘us’. The role I want to play is Anchor but having a solid Apex foundation of understanding, I can’t help but push when it’s time to push or leave when it’s a bad fight. So I’m either the Fragger or the only one alive and getting ear blasted that it’s my fault they died or something. TBH, I created my own role. AdVantage. I just play Vantage, tell them what they are fighting against, try to soften or kill the enemy team b4 my own team gets out gunned and if things go south, just Kamakazi myself off my high perch and try and salvage the fight or die trying. These types of vids just make me sad I can’t feel what a real Apex Three Stack (with roles) feels like. I’m just forever a casual playing pretend lol
Imma be honest with you. These “roles” are great for determining a team’s dynamic in competitive, but in the reality, do not use these roles to determine how you play in game. In rank and pubs, it’s not about what roles you play, it’s all about play style, game sense, communication and skill. If you try to play these “roles” in the normal game, then you’re just limiting yourself. You even said it yourself, sometimes you wanna push a fight or leave a bad fight, BUT because you’re playing “anchor”, you can’t do that. See? You’re limiting yourself. That’s why these roles mostly work in competitive where everyone’s playing slower and thinking about there next play. In the REAL game, you should PLAY HOW YOU WANT. use your own intuition. Don’t let a role determine your play style. These roles are meant to be a base foundation on how to fight, and hold positions, they’re not meant to be a permanent guide. Play the game naturally as how you want to and use game sense to determine what to do. My advice is this: Think more about TEAM COORDINATION, instead of ROLES.

Quick question about roles, you only mention IGL, fragger and anchor is Support and re-fragger not roles or are they sub-roles if that makes sense??
This will for sure help me get out of bronze💀
Do you have any ideas on how to actually "train" igl'ing? It feels more difficult comparatively to anchor/fragger in terms of actually practicing it

Ofc! Some teams play with Co IGLs thats nothing new and fragging is no specific role since everyone should deal dmg (and provide some openings)
