What more can I say than expressing sincere gratitude to this glorious choir!
I so wanted to hear that second verse so bad. But boy oh boy this is beautiful. Oh how wonderful it is when voice and spirit combine to praise and sing of the Savior.

Beautiful music performed by wonderful musicians is so inspiring and blesses so many lives. Music is a great way to express praise to our Savior Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father.

Beautifully performed! This song is one of my favorites and one of my first introductions years ago to Mack Wilberg's stirring arrangements of so many classic hymns. I was disappointed that it seems the second verse has been left out. I love the sincerity of the pleading to "take away the love of sinning" (in the second verse) that is the desire of every true disciple. However, it is still an incredibly inspiring and moving hymn with a beautiful message. I imagine the last verse's description of "cast[ing] our crowns before Thee, lost in wonder, love, and praise" to likely be how we will respond when that day finally comes when we meet our Savior and Heavenly Father face to face. Thank you for sharing this masterpiece!

This has always been a favorite of mine. Pairing it with the grief at parting is such a wonderful way to realize the power of the text. The progression from 2:40 to the introduction of Christ at 3:00 is perfect. "O death where is thy sting, o grave, where is thy victory?"
