I'm an Aerospace Engineering student, and to me this looks like a high effort fake. The entire thing just looks too round, and those joycon connectors look really, really weird, almost as if they just snap on from the sides instead of sliding onto the system. Though the biggest red flag is not having a good angle of the slot or rail on the system itself, which is kinda important if you're making accessories for said device. Though who knows, this could be a deliberate decision to curb 3rd party joycon and to ensure people dont try to mix and match switch and switch 2 stuff.
As a fellow engineer I can assure you that the rails are 100% real. Recently a prototype leaked. factory pictures and all showing injection molded components. The CAD renderings may be fake but the main unit and joycon where leaked The joycon actually do snap in place. They have strong perma electro magnets in them. Which disengage and engage their permeability with an electric pulse. You can view the leaked picturws here. They predate the renders and are confirmed by other specialists to be 100% real. @@theakiwar9118 Shit thats actually really cool. I can't wait to see them, though I guess that makes 3d printing accessories all the more annoying. Thanks for the insight btw 🙏
@@Mama_Yaeyeah no prob. Clicking through them is a pain, but the pics are amazing Notice the defects, injection pins and seems on the plastic, that tells me they were 100% injection molded. Nah Nintendo will add a new feature that will be very different comparing to the Switch, it won't be just a simple upgrade. It's my own thinking of course, but looking at the past consoles that are unique compared to Sony and Microsoft, well I don't think that's impossible 👍
@@TheAlex3712Agreed. All these "leaks" are absolute fake made by no-name Chinese guy on local forum just make name for himself & get spotlight in the community. So, there's NOTHING to discuss here😓😤
This thought just came to my head, but I’d love some white colored buttons on the Switch 2 Joy-Cons. I mean, if Nintendo wants to differentiate it as much as possible from the Switch 1 while keeping it looking like a Switch, then that is possible.
We knew it would be backwards compatible before it was confirmed all Nintendo consoles are backwards compatible unless the console switches from disk to cards that’s the only reason the switch wasn’t compatible with the Wii U because it didn’t take disk
i'm a hobbyist 3d artist - i have a feeling this one might have been made by a 3d modelling enthusiast. this model doesn't really seem to match the previous "leaked" model in a few areas, and the lack of consideration for where an SD card would go, weirdly shaped/sized shoulder buttons, etc lead me to think this might be a hobbyist's doing
The reason for it being a bit different from the previous leaked model just makes its a different model during development they try different types of designs
Sometimes I really hate Nintendo's propensity to be different just for the sake of being different. They had the best analog shoulder buttons in the past, now they're the only ones without them. Why? They're objectively better. And it's not like it saves much on cost, as they're more than willing to add gimmicky stuff we'll rarely use in most games like an IR camera & NFC support for Amiibo. It's the same reason they won't do achievements/trophies or simple system-level voice chat, or why they still use friend codes. Everyone else is doing X thing, so Nintendo has to do Y thing.
I mean, sometimes it pays off, sometimes it doesn't. If they weren't different with the Switch comparing to Xbox and Playstation that are the same boring architecture, then it probably wouldn't sold as much.
I just hope that the Switch 2 has an OLED screen, or at least comes out with an OLED model alongside a regular LCD model. Can't go back to those dull colors on the OG Switch screen.
It's really heating up now! And Prime 4s already made the Most Anticipated nominations at the Game Awards , as little as that might mean to some- it's there! 🥳
Although it certainly isn't the best time to be a fan of M&L, the Acquire buyout isn't likely to be that damning for the series when many of the staff on Brothership were either new to the series or a small crew of upwardly mobile AlphaDream veterans; as stated in Nintendo Forecast's newest video, M&L 7 can probably just be picked up by another team like ILCA with some of the current Devs simply jumping ship without too much issue.
If those are air vents, why do they protrude outward in the back view? Wouldn’t they be flat? And if they are air vents, where are the volume buttons? Are you suggesting they’re on the left now? If that’s the two buttons on the left, where’s the power button?
Also when you hold a Switch tablet to play in handheld those buttons on the back would be incredibly easy and natural to push in, you can test it for yourself
Oh it is all BS is all. Waiting on Nintendo to announce. It is pretty much the same thiwitas the last render. The new changes are what people said was wrong with the last render.
Hopefully they implement adaptive triggers like the dualsense. I assume that would make them analog. I hope their specs internally are surprisingly strong and they use all the NVIDIA software in the background to take this to the max.
@@atomicsamurai9742 I think it’s because they are gonna do another switch 2 oled. The cool thing about the alleged gpu dock is that they can upgrade that whenever they want, so it might be a lot better
While I still would have preffered if the Switch 2 was the same physical size of the OG Switch, just completely bezel less; if it has to be bigger for that 8 inch screen; I hope that it is as thin as the Switch lite. If those analog sticks are going back to the slider format (hopefully as accurate as the joycon sticks, minus the drift); then I hope the whole thing is as thin as possible. I agree that those back buttons are to detach the joycons from the console, which is why the L, ZL, Rand ZR triggers are longer; to make sure you don't press the detach buttons AT ALL unless to intentionally detach.
the fact there are multiple leaked renders that look the fucking same tells me that they know how the console is gonna look like Why nintendo holds off on the reveal when they don’t care that much about it affecting switch sales who knows
Hmm I don’t see the switch 2 being amazing for hardware and sales wise, not saying is bad just too similar to switch 1 which probably won’t sell like switch 1 Which might throw some ppl off
What potential change sticks out to you the most?
If these renders are real, I'm excited that the screen bevel appears to be very small.
A U shaped kickstand makes sense because it gives them a few millimeters more space inside the device for internal components.
Does the "U" shaped kickstand mean the console will be called "Switch U" ??? Oh please no, Nintendo

The rails are supposed to snap on. They are magnetic
Switch 1 was novel but now every company solved ergonomic and design problems. Switch 2 is playing it safe. Hopefully the software can compensate.
It will be able too

Does it have backward compatibility for Physical games?
I'm going to imagine it will since Nintendo just recently announced it would be backwards compatible with Switch 1 games.

ew no. Clicky triggers or no triggers.
No adaptive triggers as of the leaked hardware
