Today, I will be posting how to update your mac os on your macbook and or iMac computer, I had some trouble trying to find the os update, and I kept on having no updates pop up for some reason.
I will be showing you how to get the update.
If you have anything you guys want to see don't be afraid to comment as well. I will gladly make a video for you to fix any of your problems
SO I have been getting a bunch of comments saying that people can't update or that they are having trouble updating, or that they can't find catalina when they go into the app store only big sur.

there are no updates from El Capitan 10.11.6 totally sucks. Cannot update MS office apps without it.

Omg, you guys this video is the one. It literally helped me update my MacBook Air from the macOS Sierra 10.15 to the latest version. I’m so excited, I never thought I would be able to figure it out, but this guy right here made it so freaking easy. So if you are having trouble with updates or need to update your computer to use certain features or apps( which is what I needed) then this guy’s video is the one to watch!!!
@Azurra Hey Azurra, so you have to go to the app store and type in MAC this or MAC that. I typed in what the guy typed in the video in the App Store and mine came up as MAC monetary or something like that. Once you find the one for your computer then you install it and it’ll update your computer. Hope that made sense/helped.

I could possibly do that, but for some reason, it keeps repeating “We could not complete your purchase”, so it’s pretty much not possible to update my MacBook Air.

i need help! this did not work for me, i was told i had a corrupted HD on my 2012 macbook pro and told to revert it back to factory settings which i did, now it’s got the really old mac OS update and is tell me that no further updates can be done😭 but before i restored it i had it! i have no idea what to do and now i cannot use my mac can someone please please help me!!😭😭

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I had to do it the long way with you. I had an update that wasn't showing. I had to delete cache files and log files to be able to update it, in order to be able to download the latest version of photoshop, so my mac would be compatible with the requirements of the new photoshop update for 2022... I really appreciate this. Thank you again!!!!

the tip worked.. sort of.. i was able to find the download update button in the app store, but when i pressed download it has said that i cannot download the update

@@ashleygrey_1 i fixed my problem! all i had to do was download mac catalina! theres a step by step tutorial on apple's website! hope that helped!

The server gave an error during download: 500 internal server error…. What does this mean? And what do i do to fix it
You don’t have a good connection to your internet, you will need to either turn off your router and put it back on, although that sometimes doesn’t work , change internet connection so go to friends house, and or you can use your phone as a hotspot and connect your computer through there.

over a year now, and still can't figure how to update my high sierra 10.13.6
on appstore it only shows the latest update which "cannot be installed on this computer"... so, anybody? isit one of those things that apple is pushing you to buy a new computer or something? my imac is from 2016...

@@anantagaura apple likes making things complicated so then you are unable to do it yourself and pay them to do it at the Apple Store.

Your computer might not be compatible for the new update
There are minimum requirements that are needed to be met in order to download the update

When I go to click continue to set up it says the recovery server couldn’t be contacted anything to help ?
Yes so you will have to reset your router and or you will need to find another internet connection if that doesn’t work. Your phone can actually give you, your own personal hotspot which should work. I tried it and it worked for me

Hell's Cat it might be the software requirements. Most software updates need a minimum requirement
For example:
2 gbs of ram
i5 professor
Etc.

Hello. Thank you for your video. I tried your method but during the installation process, the system shown "checking null" after I clicked agree T&C for longer than 30mins. Is it a normal thing? Should I wait for it to be downloaded and installed?

I know this is 3 years old i am experiencing this issue now. I just updated to Catalina but the software i need to install needs macOS 12 or higher. I didn't see the tip you were proposing as an option when the update isn't available. Any help appreciated
