I missed this video but I came back to watch it to see how u got from point A to B .that should work out well for you great job 👍🏾
Thank you Darrell !!! Much appreciated
There are a couple people out in the world that actually treat their customers as such. Weather it be car detailing products( Detail Division and Tri City detail/ Detail Studio, AMMO NYC) and also Ryan Shields a California trimmer vendor as well from the east coast has been awesome to work with, good customer service goes a long way.
Awesome feedback. I have seen Ryan on the lawn forums and he is always helpful as well 👍🏻
I purchased my California Trimmer from Scott a year and a half ago with the extension kit installed. A big reason that I selected the California Trimmer was the kit and controls. Scott is tall and probably appreciates the extension as much as I do.
Awesome feedback Lawrence. I appreciate your support and glad Scott at Triangle reel mowers took care of you!!! 👍🏻
Hope your still loving your machine!

Thank you so much for this video! I just completed the install on my 25 inch Cal Trimmer gonna be awesome not hunching over 😊
That’s awesome. It really is a great addition to the California Trimmer!!! Glad the video help!!!
Thanks so much for all the detail, great video!
Thank you for the compliment. It was fun to put together and love the higher extension kit on the California trimmer. 👍🏻
Followed this and got it done!!!Thanks👊🏽👊🏽
I’m glad it helped you out!!! 👍🏻 i appreciate the support
I used the video while I did this mod and it was very helpful. If you are debating about whether this mod is worth it, I'm only 5'8" and the stock height was giving my 67 year old back a bad time. So much better at the higher level!
PS. I added a Reel Rollers grooved roller at the same time. With these 2 mods my mower is so much easier to maneuver in my small yard!
Thank you so much for the feedback. Yes it the way every cal trimmer should be sold. I feel it brings the mower to a much more natural position. I also like the drop wheel lever is now in higher and better position.
Thanks for the video I bought this 2 years ago and still have not opened the package yet
Open it!!! Now you have instructions. Lol. Thank you for the support 👍🏻
Excellent video. I have my extension kit waiting to be installed. I had heard there was a limit to how far the mower can be leaned over. The instructions recommend a jack stand which I would have to buy. You didn't have problems caused by the tilt of the mower so that's good. The video helped a lot. Thanks.
No problem with the tilt. I tried a jack stand at first but like the method i used since it allows there to a gap to be able to get to the clutch bolt. Had I used the jack stand it’s being supported by the tire and that gap would not be there. Hope that makes sense. The mower doesn’t need to be completely flipped you just want to high enough so you access those bolts. Through the back of the drop wheel. I would just avoid having a lot of fuel in the gas tank and make sure you gas is turned to the off position. It didn’t cause any issues at start up so everything worked out. Again the purpose of propping the mower like that is to get an easier position to see and remove the clutch bolts under the mower. Thanks for your support 👍🏻
Leaning it forward shouldn’t cause any issues. Usually the issues come from the engines being leaned back for extended periods.
Awesome video once again great detail, I’m a shorty so I don’t need the extension set…but really good stuff DW!!
Thank you for your support Lonnie. I should do a Dwayne’s world on location featuring you awesome mower collection. I appreciate the watch, be excellent and party on!!!
Glad you enjoyed the goodies in the kit. Thanks for making great content Dwayne!
I appreciate it and was a very nice surprise!!! Thank you 🙏
Hi Dwayne - thank you so much for this video...Quick question, I got the whole thing installed but I can't get my blades to spin even with clutch all the way down. Is this where I need to make an adjustment with the cable positioning with the nuts?
I can’t say if totally. I will say that when adjusting the cable you only need to adjust one side of the cable. The only reason it’s double sided is because it needs mounting points on both side. Take a look at my belt replacement video as it will be helpful to adjust the clutch. Here’s the link
