@@DarkSamurai-that's not what happened, even if u watch it again you can see he was getting stronger during that fight, and since the dark power is a power made by humans' greed and anger then that means it can also grow with someone's greed and anger and if you remember ryuga vs kyoya in metal fusion then when you can see that when the dark power took over that he kept getting stronger due to the dark power. Also the dark power only comes in when the blader is at their limit/struggling and when it took over tsubasa when he was fighting chi-yun then you can see that it took over when he was starting to lose and the only reason why he didn't win was because the dark power took over him completely and therefore making him lose control and that sudden power gap between normal tsubasa and dark tsubasa was the reason why he lost
Personally I found the dark power ark kinda disappointing since it never really took over or even tried to as hard as it did with ryuga and ryuga's advice " don't resist it . If you do so it'll only become stronger. You must become one with it " was ultimately completely ignored as he simply defeats it by sorta denying it . Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit but I felt it could have been written better though I'm not sure how . Also it doesn't move to anyone else we see afterwards which makes it feel like it was a plot device.
I really doesn't make sense. If he should become one with it, why did he "outshine" it? He should like fuse with his dark side character, still have have that cool, dark power but at the same time be more controlled and focused. That would have made much more sense. I mean Ryuga is still a dark, ambitious character but like I said more controlled.
Im pretty sure ryuga meant become one with it by basically telling him, are you the light or the dark and tsubasa had to think back remind himself who he is and he chose to become the light. In the way I see it he can still be the light by using the dark power in full control because the past episodes he couldn't control it because fear of losing which drove him mad with power.
I don't think it would fit Tsubasa's character to become one with the dark power. It worked with Ryuga, but they are totally different. I liked how Tsubasa was able to find the light and escape it
Tsubasa is my favorite i didn't care he wasn't main character I love him how great was in season 1 he always had plan and strategy Season 2 with the dark power and the story how he overcome it It was great opportunity to make him evolving to the next level he completely deserves to be one of the legendary blades in season 3

Kyoya defeated the main villain of metal master just like Gingka. Similarly, Tsubasa defeated the 2nd main villain of metal masters (Jack) just like Ryuga. Tsubasa's bad luck is he is the rival of Ryuga (Tsubasa fought the most battle against Ryuga like Gingka) unlike Kyoya who is the rival of Gingka (Kyoya fought most battles against Gingka like Ryuga).
Well it was LDrago who endured abuse just like Tsubasa it wasn't really Ryuga afflicted by Dark Power But Ryuga knows the cure to Dark Power that's why LDrago was able to purify itself
I think it's possible that Ryuga wasn't necessarily referring to the strength of dark power Tsubasa when he first sees him but rather the darkness itself and the amount Ryuga held and forced to control as he specifically refers to it's size, not necessarily it's power. He also comments that Meteor L Drago makes HIS dark power specifically look like a child throwing a tantrum, but not Tsubasa's. It's possible that Ryuga held more darkness but could not amplify that into power, especially since L Drago controlled Ryuga and it was not a cooperative relationship.
As far as raw power is concerned I think Dark Tsubasa is above everyone in metal masters EXCEPT Faust, Ryuga, Gingka, Kyoya and Damian. The move shining tornado buster came from the "depths of Hades" as Pure Tsubasa said in metal fury which means Dark Tsubasa's raw power can be equal to that.
While I do think that Dark Tsubasa is powerful, I don't think that he's as strong as Ryuga during battle bladers. Ryuga was just more powerful than Tsubasa when both don't use the dark power, and Ryuga had the full power of the dark power, while Tsubasa only had a fraction of the dark power.
I want to point out that apart from Gingka, Kyoya and Ryuga, every other character only serves to show how strong a newly introduced character is. When Yu is introduced, he is stronger than most, but then he is used to show how strong Reji is. Then Julian was introduced as a badass powerful blader, but later he was shown beaten by Damian like he was nothing. And how Masamune was used to show how strong is King and then Chris.
Video idea: What if Phoenix never interfered in metal fusion? Would gingka be able to defeat ryuga? Would tsubasa escape The dark nebula? What would ve happend with hyoma kenta and yu?
I think if tsubasa were to have self-destructed with chiyu then he would have imposed a bigger threat/power. It could have given Yu the chance to battle considering how hard yu got shafted during the whole season
Here’s an interesting one: What if there was another world championship held directly after Metal Fury? What would the teams be and who do you think would win? Might be speculative to the point of almost being fanfiction to be honest but it sounds like a cool idea nonetheless
I think the teams will be: Japan: Gingka, Tsubasa, Yu, kenta (Tithi might join as well) China: Aguma, Dexian, Chiyun, Bao Russia: remains the same Wild fang: Unchanged Excalibur: Remains the same Brazil: remains the same USA: Mesamune, King, Zeo, Toby I am sure that Mesamune would prefer to stay with Zeo and Toby during the next world championship as he stayed in japan too long to go back during the first one and king is mesamune's friend so he will likely join him. I feel like tithi would join team Japan because of Yu but technically if he joins Yu wouldn't have a spot in japan. I don't feel like Dynamis would leave his temple or whatever he does all the time for a world cup and I don't know exactly where Chris would join. And I feel like Yuki would most likely go back to whatever he was doing before meeting gingka With all the teams I feel like it's safe to say gan gan galaxy destroys everyone else.

@@Awsometime2 I don't think it would have mattered, the arrangement system was destroyed and Gingka and Kyoya are much stronger than when they fought Damien. So Damien would likely stay near the same level as he doesn't really train, he only used to use the arrangements. But in case Damien did have an arrangement with data from the final clash I still don't think team USA would win as king and Masamune would still have to beat either Kenta or tithi. King is likely stronger than tithi but we have no clue how strong Kenta is compared to the legendary bladers. We do however know that king is most likely the strongest or 2nd strongest solar system blader.
wonder who would win this fight in the anime? A fight between Earth Eagle, Tsubasa against Hades Kerbecs, Damian. And I'm not talking about the Tsubasa controlled by the dark power in Metal Masters but the ordinary Tsubasa. We know that Tsubasa and Kyoya are pretty much rivals in the beginning of the Metal Masters series. If Tsubasa had not been taken over by the dark power it might have become a tie in the battle with Kyoya. And we know that Kyoya just barely managed to win from Damian. So who would win this? Tsubasa or Damian?
Damian. Dark Tsubasa was not even strong enough to make Julian's Gravity Destroyer budge. Ryuga himself said that the dark power of Tsubasa was just the last fragment remaining. However, if it grew, it could be a close match. Either could Win.
I would say Purified Tsubasa > Dark Tsubasa > MF Tsubasa > Base MM Tsubasa. I think Tsubasa actually started off quite a bit more timid in MM due to his loss in MF, and that's what caused him to struggle against a lot of the other bladers when he wasn't using the dark power. As far as Dark Tsubasa went, his pure power was probably at around the same level as Kyoya's (which is about as strong as it gets without having some sort of enhancement). Unfortunately, his lack of control of that power left him vulnerable to other great strategists (I agree that he would've lost to Nile had they battled). I do think MF Tsubasa is somewhat underrated in this discussion; the dude was pretty much undefeated in battles that he actually tried to win (outside of his battles with Ryuga). He also likely would've beaten Ryuga had he not been uncharacteristically overaggressive (which probably stemmed from his fear of failure and might've been part of why he was so timid early on in MM). That being said, his raw power was never his defining feature, and I do think that version would've gotten overwhelmed by Dark Tsubasa. Purified Tsubasa was definitely the strongest though. Like Ryuga, the dark power Tsubasa had was fool's gold; it looked nice but he had to look past it to find the real stuff. Once he was able to accept it, he was able to use it with a clear mind. As far as power-level for Purified Tsubasa, I would say he was below Faust, Gingka, Ryuga, and Damian. I would've loved to have seen him battle Nile or Kyoya (again), because I think Nile's probably the most underrated character in terms of strength in the whole show, and I think Tsubasa's newfound power might've actually given him the edge against Kyoya. We also weren't given a great measure of where his power was after MM, since his only losses in Fury were to Rago, Ryuga, and King, so it's hard to say where he stacks up against the post-MM characters.
Ryuga said that the dark power Tsubasa experienced was no where near the dark power of L Drago he should be way below Ryuga. But IMO he's stronger than anyone in Fusion apart from Gingka, Ryuga, and maybe Kyoya
Ryuga isn't above. He's below and would loose. However if it's L Drago controlling Ryuga. Which isn't really Ryuga himself entirely. Then l drago would win. I'd argue that maybe Ryuga without getting possessed take on the dark Tsubasa

I like that you mentioned metal fusion tsubasa is the smartest ( though you seem to negate it later ) . He was so clever and tactical in fight in the first season and it made things much more engaging but they seem to forget about after the dark power arc . You could say it's due to the trauma of the dark power but I don't think the writers thought of that. I also like how the most defensive of ryugas victims in metal fusion is the one that got the dark power as it get touched by Ldrago the most and it's as if it was contagious.
I don't think Dashian at the start of Masters is as strong as he is by the end, he just grows really fast we see how much he develops by the start of Fury too.
I think an interesting matchup would be Jack vs Julian. I personally believe Jack kinda whoops him he seems more relative to Damian but for a lot of people they think Julian is stronger which I don’t really see. I’d love to hear your thoughts on it
Yeah Jack would beat Julian just as bad as Damian did. It took a Tsubasa who recovered from getting his bey absolutely destroyed by Damian to finally take down Jack.
Nah i think Julian has jack beat, Damien was stronger but I don’t think the power gap is big as most people think, in the initial battle Julian fared better than gingka in his initial battle, sending boost mode kerbecs flying which both kyoya and gingka didn’t do, he lost because of his weak mentality and will and he didn’t fight back against the gates of hades, jack doesn’t have the raw power to escape for Medusa and I doubt he take more than 1 or 2 hits from Julian’s special move
Your rankings are more accurate than what your lending credit to and the reason this all ties together is Ryuga himself, his stages of power and win record. Ryuga merely weilding the Dark Power stomped all of Fusion and the full power Possessed Ryuga was a threat to the World. So a fraction of the Dark Power immediately put's Tsubasa just under Possessed Ryuga and Peak Storm Pegasus with no debate whatsoever due to Ryuga starting out with arguably less of the Dark Power and still clearing house. The first limit of Dark Tsubasa's power we see is when he ambushed Team Excalibur. Sophie and Wales were fighting him fairly comfortably meaning he was undoubtedly weaker than Left Rotating Destroyer Pre-Gingka loss. Tsubasa remains fairly consistent in power until the official battle with Team Excalibur and he finally overcomes the Dark Power becoming the Purified Tsubasa beating Sophie and Wales virtually on his own. This is a consistent rise in power since Ryuga with Meteo L-Drago was using Sophie and Wales for a warm up and walling them with very low effort. Purified Tsubasa's rise in power also put's him above Tornament Jack very confidently due to the fact that Ryuga beat Jack in a single Special move after not throwing a Standard attack for virtually the whole match. The show even acknowledges this because Jack had recieved a new Arrangement to boost him further Post-tournament and still lost to Purified Tsubasa with decent effort from Tsubasa. This is where the accolades stop though because Tsubasa doesn't really have a good feat from here on out because this is when a lot people have huge jumps in power. Julian, Dashan, and Damian would all go forth and display power that kinda destroys the upper limit of what we see from Tsubasa. If I had to rank the bladers at the end of Metal Masters it'd be: Ryuga > Faust > Gingka > Kyoya > Damian > Dashan > Julian > Purified Tsubasa > etc. Yes, I do believe Tubasa was stronger than Masamune at this time due to the Jack feat spoken of earlier.

I think he kind of did get infected if you observe his behavior in Masters. In comparison to where he left in Fusion, Kyoya is way wilder, reckless and antagonistic, which is rather odd until you remember his soul was taken away from him quite brutally. He probably was also dealing with his inner demons so to speak hence he doubled down on besting Gingka to the point of endangering his life in tornado valley. However, unlike Tsubasa who is not used to actually facing failure and losing his cool over it, Kyoya is way wilder and actually did meet serious pushback before Tsubasa hence he could remain in control of himself but saud control meant he was crazjer than usual. TL;DR: Kyoya was affected by dark power, but it only enhanced his wild spirit and didn't manage to dominate him like with Tsubasa
In terms of raw power, I think Dark Tsubasa is the strongest version. However, he had absolutely no control over that power, nor when it would come out which made him extremely vulnerable. You could even see that Tsubasa’s body just couldn’t handle that amount of power. He often passed out after the battles.
I can’t disagree with your opinion about him, because as I said before he had zero control over his dark powers even if it’s not as strong as it should be “as Ryuga said” but no one can deny how effective this power is. I am pretty much a beyblade expert, I have been learning and studying beyblade metal series lore since childhood. This is a very nice video but again You keep overlooking how strong really is the dark power of ryuga. Tsubasa only got a portion or a crumb of what ryuga was going through. Tsubasa had light changes in his appearance when the dark power took Him over, like a color change in his aura, red glowing eyes and His avatar changing to a smooth dark purple color. Ryuga when possesed even in the kyoya battle underwent severe changes in His looks. Blood vessels popping out, fully red glowing eyes, and instantly used a new move that He hadn't used before. Dark tsubasa could cause minor weather changes, like bring dark clouds, lightning and wind. Ryuga on the other hand when He was possessed again in the final battle, the dragon literally came out of the sky. He could cause lightning, even without being possessed, wreck an entire arena + a stadium with His raw power alone without the dark power. Sure, there is a gap between season 1 and 2 bladers, but ryuga as a character stands His ground in all 3 seasons, and in the WCS, He wouldn't lose to anyone except gingka, himself and maybe faust, which is debatable.

Yuki should be above Yu, Masamune and Tsubasa, who by that point should surpass everyone from previous seasons, so Yuki is still above anyone prior to Fury.
I don't think the solar system bladers are necessarily the strongest bladers. Let me explain The four season bladers are the strongest bladers from each season. However, the solar system bladers are the descendents of the 5 legendary bladers of the past. I personally think when they got the star fragments, they got a boost in power cause there is no way Yuki was one of the strongest bladers before he got the star fragments. I think that Tsubasa and Masamune are stronger than Yuki.
In metal masters he was actually a beast ; He clutched for Team Japan in 3 matches ; - Versus Team Africa ( Where they needed a win to draw) - Versus Team Greece ( Where he single-handedly beat the cetus twins) - Versus Team Brazil
Now here me out, dashian and Julian won't really have much of a shot, here's why, tsubasa true has a wrecking ball of power but his dark character was another version who had complete control over eagle at the point, therefore he would be able to think and function enough to where he would find a way to beat both of them and considering how bad it was against wild fang, we never got that level of destruction from those 2 let alone there special move so can we really say that they hold a candle to dark tsubasa? I think not as good zeo he barely won against masamune reason why I'm saying barely is because his power button he used, but yet still passed out, nile for sure wouldn't be able to compete with tsubasa either, that eagle is stronger then a unicorn horn especially at the level of destruction he was at already there's no doubt in my mind even mistic zone would break under that immense power but that's my opinion
Nah man I've just watched the whole series a month ago and I remember much details. Even S2 Kyoya could defeat S1 Ryuga. He's just overrated. But definitely, the S1 Ryuga possessed version could probably put up a fight with the major bladers from S2 and S3. If you take in account all the side characters like Mei Mei, Chow Shin, Chiun, and Russian bladers etc, then he could defeat 'em. But I don't think he'll be able to stand against the likes of Kyoya, Gingka, Faust and Damian from S2. Ryo clearly stated that Galaxy Pegasus, the legendary bey was much stronger than Lightning L-drago. And Gingka had almost mastered Galaxy Pegasus until Kyoya-Gingka battle in Metal Masters. Still, they got a tie. Since Ligtning L-drago is no match for Galaxy Pegasus, it's also no match for S2 Kyoya with Rock Leon. And Faust also, no debate. I'm kinda skeptical about S2 Damian beating S1 Ryuga cuz he lost to both Gingka and Kyoya. He'd be able to win against S1 Ryuga from battle bladers but maybe a tie with S1 Ryuga possessed version. So how would any of his opponents even have a chance? The only reason Gingka won was because of plot armor but even with the in universe explanation of all the bladers spirit bs that only had a 0.03 and that’s with Pegasus. If any other bey faced L-drago even with the bladers spirit of other people they would 99% of the time lose. Even if you wanna say that Galaxy Pegasus was stronger than L-Drago it won’t matter if L-Drago steals its power. Pegasus isn’t a bey that has anything really special about it like features wise compared to beys like Libra who can fight with supersonic waves so he can still be effective at long distances or Kyoya with his tornadoes, Gravity destroyer with its gravity control, Horuseus with its blasts of wind, etc. I’d say they have a higher chance but even then I don’t think they’d win
@@darc0099 That's also right. I forgot about the thing that Ryo indirectly explained to Tsubasa in S1 that a person without some kinda power of friendship won't win against Ryuga. A loner won't win against Ryuga cuz Lightning l-drago would steal it's power. But this was more or less a lack of knowledge because Lightning L-drago was the strongest bey he had seen in his life. And it wasn't merely a 'plot armor' that Gingka defeated Ryuga in S1. He could have been shown to take other bladers' power and defeat Ryuga. It was possible like what happened in S3 last battle. But clearly, he was shown to defeat him with his own power. And Pegasus was shown to disappear but Lightning L-drago just got some cracks. That signifies that Ryuga didn't use its full power. So the problem wasn't with Lightning L-Drago. Ryuga just wasn't capable of bringing out the limit of it's power. That's why I mentioned bladers, not beyblades. And you're forgetting when Doji said "L-drago absorbs the feelings of anger and greed in its opponents". It doesn't directly steal the opponent's power. L-Drago was able to absorb Gingka's power in their first battle because he was angry over Ryuga's insults about his father. Over time, Ryuga became able to bring out the spirits of bladers in battle bladers and steal their power without needing to make them angry. But as we see in S2, Ryuga belittles his previous dark power against his new power of the star fragment. Clearly, it isn't that simple. Lightning L-drago couldn't just absorb power so easily out of ANY beyblade. Especially, when the beyblade is much powerful than it. Even L-Drago destructor wasn't able to steal Nemesis' power. I know he was a kinda god of destruction but this shows that power absorption has its own limits. Lightning L-drago is weak against Galaxy Pegasus so it couldn't have just won by absorbing power. But when you take in account the blader and the beyblade both, even S2 Kyoya could defeat S1 Ryuga. Bro he was clearly powerful than him. Talking about Twisted Tempo, Lightning L-drago doesn't stand a chance against him. It took Meteo L-drago and Galaxy Pegasus both to outweigh the power of Twisted Tempo. We see in the anime that it was made by combining the powers of Galaxy Pegasus and Meteo L-Drago. And yeah but I agree that S1 Rtuga would win against Damian.
You are right. Ryuga in S1 ep 51 was almost ready to take over the world he just needed Pegasus's power. Ryuga even said to Tsubasa that his dark power is nothing compared to the real thing (S1 ep 51 L Drago). Yet this dark Tsubasa was overpowering Sophie, Wales, Chi-Yun. Storm Pegasus absorbed the bladers spirits of every blader in Japan which made it break past it's max potential limit in order to defeat Ryuga and then it disappeared. This Storm Pegasus was relative to Rock Leone in S1 and although Rock Leone is stronger in S2 it was never put in a position where it had to break it's maximum potential limit otherwise it would've disappeared as well. Therefore the power of Storm Pegasus in S1 ep 51 as well as Lightning L Drago was above everyone in S2 except Faust. However a base Lightning L Drago and Storm Pegasus would be weaker than the S2 characters.

Could you make a video on scaling the Shogun Steel Blades relative to the Metal Series bladers? I think that would be interesting. Unrelated things I wanted to mention. 1 : if I'm not mistaken every main character in beyblade ever uses an attack type ( or balance type which includes attack ? 2: the main antagonist will compete in a world championship with teams and then refer to themselves as the champion even though there was never one real champion except in beyblade burst . 3 : is it true that Ming ming from g revolution is the only blader from all of beyblade with a 100;percent winrate ?

Funny thing about Julian since we know Beyblades that can absorb another beyblades let alone its bladers poeer can only happen when a beyblade with that ability battles a beyblade with a different rotation spin than it, it could be argued Dark Tsubasa has the potential to beat Julian since he was dead set on Kanzern using Destroyers Reverse Rotation meaning he didn't just wanna beat Julian he wanted to take the power destroyer possessed too and since Julian doesnt have the philosophy bladers spirit down yet I can see him losing while being power drained.
I honestly disagree about some things. First, I believe Jack would easily defeat Dark Tsubasa. I mean, even against purified Tsubasa, this was an extremely close match, and Ryuga basically stated that the dark power looks like a toddler doing a tantrum compared to the power he acquired after surpassing the dark power, and the same is probably true for Tsubasa, so if it took a purified Tsubasa everything he had to beat Jack, I don't see Dark Tsubasa doing the same. The same goes for Zeo. Purified Tsubasa would certainly beat him, but I don't see Dark Tsubasa surpassing the Destiny Needle, as Masamune only did it when Madoka found out how that technique worked, and since Dark Tsubasa is pretty much irrational, I don't see him breaking free of that move. Even if he did, I think the Magnetic Needle Storm would be too much for him to handle. Regardless, this was an excellent video, and the Dark Tsubasa arc was one of my favorite things in Metal Masters, and one of the things that make it my favorite season, and that made me think. Kyoya is my favorite character. What do you think would happen if HE was infected by the dark power instead of Tsubasa? How strong would he be? Would he be able to overcome this power? How strong would he be if he did it?
Thanks, those are all great points. I think Kyoya was a good character to get the dark power. Looking back at some of those early metal fusion battles, he looked like he had it 😂 But if he actually had it he would definitely be top 2 at least. Above Reji but I don’t know about Ryuga

Beyblade Metal should be a shounen and fighting anime instead of artists working hard to draw Beyblade. If Beyblade Metal was a shonen and fighting anime, it would be a very famous anime, a legendary anime, and a rival to Dragon Ball and become one of the best anime of 2009
Considering they were blowing things up and making alternate reality’s then it’s not that hard to scale the metal saga on a similar scale to dragon ball. The DS game even had Pegasus kind of break the solar system. At least I think that’s what happened don’t quote me on that

Im going to compare dark tsubasa to every blader in the a block semifinals and later. Dark Tsubasa> Beneki, Domore, Yu, Masamune, Sophie, wales, enzo, selen, Chow Shin, May May, Chiun and Ian. Dark Tsubasa< Gingka, Julian, Klaus, Nile, Kyoya, Damian, Jack (cuz normal tsubasa is better than dark tsubasa solely because of plot armour with his normal self for Jack), Zeo, Argo (same reason as Jack) , , Dashian also i dont need to put in Ryuga but i will Dark Tsubasa < Ryuga

In battle bladers, Tsubasa did put up a fight with Ryuga having Lightning L-drago. He had to use his best move twice to defeat Eagle. And Dark Tsubasa is stronger than Battle Bladers Tsubasa. So definitely, he's not at all just a 'chicken' infront of Battle Bladers Ryuga. He could tie, if not defeat Ryuga. But still, it's right that even Post Dark Tsubasa couldn't have been able to defeat Metal Masters Ryuga with Meteo. Battle Bladers Ryuga is just overrated. The likes of Metal Masters Julian could defeat him.
They could’ve given tsubasa an updated eagle like masamune, it would’ve been cool if krira Cygnus was made an eagle bet as it would’ve gotten so much screen time plus tsubasa earned an upgrade

Also the dark power only comes in when the blader is at their limit/struggling and when it took over tsubasa when he was fighting chi-yun then you can see that it took over when he was starting to lose and the only reason why he didn't win was because the dark power took over him completely and therefore making him lose control and that sudden power gap between normal tsubasa and dark tsubasa was the reason why he lost

Personally I found the dark power ark kinda disappointing since it never really took over or even tried to as hard as it did with ryuga and ryuga's advice " don't resist it . If you do so it'll only become stronger. You must become one with it " was ultimately completely ignored as he simply defeats it by sorta denying it . Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit but I felt it could have been written better though I'm not sure how . Also it doesn't move to anyone else we see afterwards which makes it feel like it was a plot device.

I really doesn't make sense. If he should become one with it, why did he "outshine" it? He should like fuse with his dark side character, still have have that cool, dark power but at the same time be more controlled and focused. That would have made much more sense. I mean Ryuga is still a dark, ambitious character but like I said more controlled.
Im pretty sure ryuga meant become one with it by basically telling him, are you the light or the dark and tsubasa had to think back remind himself who he is and he chose to become the light. In the way I see it he can still be the light by using the dark power in full control because the past episodes he couldn't control it because fear of losing which drove him mad with power.

Kyoya defeated the main villain of metal master just like Gingka. Similarly, Tsubasa defeated the 2nd main villain of metal masters (Jack) just like Ryuga. Tsubasa's bad luck is he is the rival of Ryuga (Tsubasa fought the most battle against Ryuga like Gingka) unlike Kyoya who is the rival of Gingka (Kyoya fought most battles against Gingka like Ryuga).
The difference between Dark Tsubasa and Dark Ryuga is one has gone mad with power and the other was being Hijacked by their Bey

Before the deshian vs gingka battle, even chi-un himself admitted that tsubasa was the one who defeated tsubasa.
I think it's possible that Ryuga wasn't necessarily referring to the strength of dark power Tsubasa when he first sees him but rather the darkness itself and the amount Ryuga held and forced to control as he specifically refers to it's size, not necessarily it's power. He also comments that Meteor L Drago makes HIS dark power specifically look like a child throwing a tantrum, but not Tsubasa's. It's possible that Ryuga held more darkness but could not amplify that into power, especially since L Drago controlled Ryuga and it was not a cooperative relationship.
As far as raw power is concerned I think Dark Tsubasa is above everyone in metal masters EXCEPT Faust, Ryuga, Gingka, Kyoya and Damian. The move shining tornado buster came from the "depths of Hades" as Pure Tsubasa said in metal fury which means Dark Tsubasa's raw power can be equal to that.
While I do think that Dark Tsubasa is powerful, I don't think that he's as strong as Ryuga during battle bladers. Ryuga was just more powerful than Tsubasa when both don't use the dark power, and Ryuga had the full power of the dark power, while Tsubasa only had a fraction of the dark power.
Plus, Ryuga was able to manage dark power while Tsubasa was possessed by dark power and attacked unevenly everything
I want to point out that apart from Gingka, Kyoya and Ryuga, every other character only serves to show how strong a newly introduced character is. When Yu is introduced, he is stronger than most, but then he is used to show how strong Reji is. Then Julian was introduced as a badass powerful blader, but later he was shown beaten by Damian like he was nothing. And how Masamune was used to show how strong is King and then Chris.

I think if tsubasa were to have self-destructed with chiyu then he would have imposed a bigger threat/power. It could have given Yu the chance to battle considering how hard yu got shafted during the whole season
Here’s an interesting one: What if there was another world championship held directly after Metal Fury? What would the teams be and who do you think would win? Might be speculative to the point of almost being fanfiction to be honest but it sounds like a cool idea nonetheless

I am sure that Mesamune would prefer to stay with Zeo and Toby during the next world championship as he stayed in japan too long to go back during the first one and king is mesamune's friend so he will likely join him.
I feel like tithi would join team Japan because of Yu but technically if he joins Yu wouldn't have a spot in japan.
I don't feel like Dynamis would leave his temple or whatever he does all the time for a world cup and I don't know exactly where Chris would join. And I feel like Yuki would most likely go back to whatever he was doing before meeting gingka

@@Awsometime2 I don't think it would have mattered, the arrangement system was destroyed and Gingka and Kyoya are much stronger than when they fought Damien. So Damien would likely stay near the same level as he doesn't really train, he only used to use the arrangements.
But in case Damien did have an arrangement with data from the final clash I still don't think team USA would win as king and Masamune would still have to beat either Kenta or tithi. King is likely stronger than tithi but we have no clue how strong Kenta is compared to the legendary bladers. We do however know that king is most likely the strongest or 2nd strongest solar system blader.

And I'm not talking about the Tsubasa controlled by the dark power in Metal Masters but the ordinary Tsubasa. We know that Tsubasa and Kyoya are pretty much rivals in the beginning of the Metal Masters series. If Tsubasa had not been taken over by the dark power it might have become a tie in the battle with Kyoya. And we know that Kyoya just barely managed to win from Damian. So who would win this? Tsubasa or Damian?
Damian. Dark Tsubasa was not even strong enough to make Julian's Gravity Destroyer budge. Ryuga himself said that the dark power of Tsubasa was just the last fragment remaining.
However, if it grew, it could be a close match. Either could Win.

I would say Purified Tsubasa > Dark Tsubasa > MF Tsubasa > Base MM Tsubasa. I think Tsubasa actually started off quite a bit more timid in MM due to his loss in MF, and that's what caused him to struggle against a lot of the other bladers when he wasn't using the dark power. As far as Dark Tsubasa went, his pure power was probably at around the same level as Kyoya's (which is about as strong as it gets without having some sort of enhancement). Unfortunately, his lack of control of that power left him vulnerable to other great strategists (I agree that he would've lost to Nile had they battled).
I do think MF Tsubasa is somewhat underrated in this discussion; the dude was pretty much undefeated in battles that he actually tried to win (outside of his battles with Ryuga). He also likely would've beaten Ryuga had he not been uncharacteristically overaggressive (which probably stemmed from his fear of failure and might've been part of why he was so timid early on in MM). That being said, his raw power was never his defining feature, and I do think that version would've gotten overwhelmed by Dark Tsubasa.
Purified Tsubasa was definitely the strongest though. Like Ryuga, the dark power Tsubasa had was fool's gold; it looked nice but he had to look past it to find the real stuff. Once he was able to accept it, he was able to use it with a clear mind. As far as power-level for Purified Tsubasa, I would say he was below Faust, Gingka, Ryuga, and Damian. I would've loved to have seen him battle Nile or Kyoya (again), because I think Nile's probably the most underrated character in terms of strength in the whole show, and I think Tsubasa's newfound power might've actually given him the edge against Kyoya. We also weren't given a great measure of where his power was after MM, since his only losses in Fury were to Rago, Ryuga, and King, so it's hard to say where he stacks up against the post-MM characters.

Ryuga said that the dark power Tsubasa experienced was no where near the dark power of L Drago he should be way below Ryuga. But IMO he's stronger than anyone in Fusion apart from Gingka, Ryuga, and maybe Kyoya

I like that you mentioned metal fusion tsubasa is the smartest ( though you seem to negate it later ) . He was so clever and tactical in fight in the first season and it made things much more engaging but they seem to forget about after the dark power arc . You could say it's due to the trauma of the dark power but I don't think the writers thought of that. I also like how the most defensive of ryugas victims in metal fusion is the one that got the dark power as it get touched by Ldrago the most and it's as if it was contagious.
I don't think Dashian at the start of Masters is as strong as he is by the end, he just grows really fast we see how much he develops by the start of Fury too.

I think an interesting matchup would be Jack vs Julian. I personally believe Jack kinda whoops him he seems more relative to Damian but for a lot of people they think Julian is stronger which I don’t really see. I’d love to hear your thoughts on it
Yeah Jack would beat Julian just as bad as Damian did. It took a Tsubasa who recovered from getting his bey absolutely destroyed by Damian to finally take down Jack.
Nah i think Julian has jack beat, Damien was stronger but I don’t think the power gap is big as most people think, in the initial battle Julian fared better than gingka in his initial battle, sending boost mode kerbecs flying which both kyoya and gingka didn’t do, he lost because of his weak mentality and will and he didn’t fight back against the gates of hades, jack doesn’t have the raw power to escape for Medusa and I doubt he take more than 1 or 2 hits from Julian’s special move
Your rankings are more accurate than what your lending credit to and the reason this all ties together is Ryuga himself, his stages of power and win record.
Ryuga merely weilding the Dark Power stomped all of Fusion and the full power Possessed Ryuga was a threat to the World. So a fraction of the Dark Power immediately put's Tsubasa just under Possessed Ryuga and Peak Storm Pegasus with no debate whatsoever due to Ryuga starting out with arguably less of the Dark Power and still clearing house.
The first limit of Dark Tsubasa's power we see is when he ambushed Team Excalibur. Sophie and Wales were fighting him fairly comfortably meaning he was undoubtedly weaker than Left Rotating Destroyer Pre-Gingka loss. Tsubasa remains fairly consistent in power until the official battle with Team Excalibur and he finally overcomes the Dark Power becoming the Purified Tsubasa beating Sophie and Wales virtually on his own. This is a consistent rise in power since Ryuga with Meteo L-Drago was using Sophie and Wales for a warm up and walling them with very low effort.
Purified Tsubasa's rise in power also put's him above Tornament Jack very confidently due to the fact that Ryuga beat Jack in a single Special move after not throwing a Standard attack for virtually the whole match. The show even acknowledges this because Jack had recieved a new Arrangement to boost him further Post-tournament and still lost to Purified Tsubasa with decent effort from Tsubasa.
This is where the accolades stop though because Tsubasa doesn't really have a good feat from here on out because this is when a lot people have huge jumps in power. Julian, Dashan, and Damian would all go forth and display power that kinda destroys the upper limit of what we see from Tsubasa. If I had to rank the bladers at the end of Metal Masters it'd be: Ryuga > Faust > Gingka > Kyoya > Damian > Dashan > Julian > Purified Tsubasa > etc.

I think he kind of did get infected if you observe his behavior in Masters. In comparison to where he left in Fusion, Kyoya is way wilder, reckless and antagonistic, which is rather odd until you remember his soul was taken away from him quite brutally. He probably was also dealing with his inner demons so to speak hence he doubled down on besting Gingka to the point of endangering his life in tornado valley. However, unlike Tsubasa who is not used to actually facing failure and losing his cool over it, Kyoya is way wilder and actually did meet serious pushback before Tsubasa hence he could remain in control of himself but saud control meant he was crazjer than usual.
TL;DR: Kyoya was affected by dark power, but it only enhanced his wild spirit and didn't manage to dominate him like with Tsubasa

Tsubasa's battle with Kyoya wasn't exactly that far away from Battle Bladers.
In terms of raw power, I think Dark Tsubasa is the strongest version. However, he had absolutely no control over that power, nor when it would come out which made him extremely vulnerable.
You could even see that Tsubasa’s body just couldn’t handle that amount of power. He often passed out after the battles.
I can’t disagree with your opinion about him, because as I said before he had zero control over his dark powers even if it’s not as strong as it should be “as Ryuga said” but no one can deny how effective this power is. I am pretty much a beyblade expert, I have been learning and studying beyblade metal series lore since childhood. This is a very nice video but again You keep overlooking how strong really is the dark power of ryuga. Tsubasa only got a portion or a crumb of what ryuga was going through. Tsubasa had light changes in his appearance when the dark power took Him over, like a color change in his aura, red glowing eyes and His avatar changing to a smooth dark purple color. Ryuga when possesed even in the kyoya battle underwent severe changes in His looks. Blood vessels popping out, fully red glowing eyes, and instantly used a new move that He hadn't used before. Dark tsubasa could cause minor weather changes, like bring dark clouds, lightning and wind. Ryuga on the other hand when He was possessed again in the final battle, the dragon literally came out of the sky. He could cause lightning, even without being possessed, wreck an entire arena + a stadium with His raw power alone without the dark power. Sure, there is a gap between season 1 and 2 bladers, but ryuga as a character stands His ground in all 3 seasons, and in the WCS, He wouldn't lose to anyone except gingka, himself and maybe faust, which is debatable.

Yuki should be above Yu, Masamune and Tsubasa, who by that point should surpass everyone from previous seasons, so Yuki is still above anyone prior to Fury.

The four season bladers are the strongest bladers from each season. However, the solar system bladers are the descendents of the 5 legendary bladers of the past. I personally think when they got the star fragments, they got a boost in power cause there is no way Yuki was one of the strongest bladers before he got the star fragments.

But definitely, the S1 Ryuga possessed version could probably put up a fight with the major bladers from S2 and S3. After he defeated Ryuga, Pegasus wouldn't have disappeared if it didn't use it's own power. Even Ryo stated that "Pegasus used up all of his power, that's why he disappeared. He didn't use his friend's power, rather their support. While S1 Ryuga had actually acquired the power of many good bladers like Kyoya and Tsubasa. Still what it took for Gingka to defeat him was a special move lmao.
@@zaidbhaiboss the big problem with all of this is that S1 Ryuga would still have the dark power meaning that he’d still be able to take the power of the blader he’s facing. So how would any of his opponents even have a chance? The only reason Gingka won was because of plot armor but even with the in universe explanation of all the bladers spirit bs that only had a 0.03 and that’s with Pegasus. If any other bey faced L-drago even with the bladers spirit of other people they would 99% of the time lose. Even if you wanna say that Galaxy Pegasus was stronger than L-Drago it won’t matter if L-Drago steals its power. Pegasus isn’t a bey that has anything really special about it like features wise compared to beys like Libra who can fight with supersonic waves so he can still be effective at long distances or Kyoya with his tornadoes, Gravity destroyer with its gravity control, Horuseus with its blasts of wind, etc. I’d say they have a higher chance but even then I don’t think they’d win
@@darc0099 That's also right. I forgot about the thing that Ryo indirectly explained to Tsubasa in S1 that a person without some kinda power of friendship won't win against Ryuga. A loner won't win against Ryuga cuz Lightning l-drago would steal it's power. But this was more or less a lack of knowledge because Lightning L-drago was the strongest bey he had seen in his life. And it wasn't merely a 'plot armor' that Gingka defeated Ryuga in S1. He could have been shown to take other bladers' power and defeat Ryuga. It was possible like what happened in S3 last battle. But clearly, he was shown to defeat him with his own power. And Pegasus was shown to disappear but Lightning L-drago just got some cracks. That signifies that Ryuga didn't use its full power. So the problem wasn't with Lightning L-Drago. Ryuga just wasn't capable of bringing out the limit of it's power. That's why I mentioned bladers, not beyblades. And you're forgetting when Doji said "L-drago absorbs the feelings of anger and greed in its opponents". It doesn't directly steal the opponent's power. L-Drago was able to absorb Gingka's power in their first battle because he was angry over Ryuga's insults about his father. Over time, Ryuga became able to bring out the spirits of bladers in battle bladers and steal their power without needing to make them angry. But as we see in S2, Ryuga belittles his previous dark power against his new power of the star fragment. Clearly, it isn't that simple. Lightning L-drago couldn't just absorb power so easily out of ANY beyblade. Especially, when the beyblade is much powerful than it. Even L-Drago destructor wasn't able to steal Nemesis' power. I know he was a kinda god of destruction but this shows that power absorption has its own limits. Lightning L-drago is weak against Galaxy Pegasus so it couldn't have just won by absorbing power. But when you take in account the blader and the beyblade both, even S2 Kyoya could defeat S1 Ryuga. Bro he was clearly powerful than him. Talking about Twisted Tempo, Lightning L-drago doesn't stand a chance against him. It took Meteo L-drago and Galaxy Pegasus both to outweigh the power of Twisted Tempo. We see in the anime that it was made by combining the powers of Galaxy Pegasus and Meteo L-Drago. And yeah but I agree that S1 Rtuga would win against Damian.

You are right. Ryuga in S1 ep 51 was almost ready to take over the world he just needed Pegasus's power. Ryuga even said to Tsubasa that his dark power is nothing compared to the real thing (S1 ep 51 L Drago). Yet this dark Tsubasa was overpowering Sophie, Wales, Chi-Yun. Storm Pegasus absorbed the bladers spirits of every blader in Japan which made it break past it's max potential limit in order to defeat Ryuga and then it disappeared. This Storm Pegasus was relative to Rock Leone in S1 and although Rock Leone is stronger in S2 it was never put in a position where it had to break it's maximum potential limit otherwise it would've disappeared as well. Therefore the power of Storm Pegasus in S1 ep 51 as well as Lightning L Drago was above everyone in S2 except Faust. However a base Lightning L Drago and Storm Pegasus would be weaker than the S2 characters.
Great video. I pretty much agree with you, I think he scales relative to Klaus, and I feel like Dark Tsubasa would lose to Jack. Could you make a video on scaling the Shogun Steel Blades relative to the Metal Series bladers? I think that would be interesting. Seeing how blades like Kira, Zero, Sakyo, etc scale relative to the Metal Series.

I honestly disagree about some things.
First, I believe Jack would easily defeat Dark Tsubasa. I mean, even against purified Tsubasa, this was an extremely close match, and Ryuga basically stated that the dark power looks like a toddler doing a tantrum compared to the power he acquired after surpassing the dark power, and the same is probably true for Tsubasa, so if it took a purified Tsubasa everything he had to beat Jack, I don't see Dark Tsubasa doing the same.
The same goes for Zeo. Purified Tsubasa would certainly beat him, but I don't see Dark Tsubasa surpassing the Destiny Needle, as Masamune only did it when Madoka found out how that technique worked, and since Dark Tsubasa is pretty much irrational, I don't see him breaking free of that move. Even if he did, I think the Magnetic Needle Storm would be too much for him to handle.
Regardless, this was an excellent video, and the Dark Tsubasa arc was one of my favorite things in Metal Masters, and one of the things that make it my favorite season, and that made me think.
Kyoya is my favorite character. What do you think would happen if HE was infected by the dark power instead of Tsubasa? How strong would he be? Would he be able to overcome this power? How strong would he be if he did it?

In battle bladers, Tsubasa did put up a fight with Ryuga having Lightning L-drago. He had to use his best move twice to defeat Eagle. And Dark Tsubasa is stronger than Battle Bladers Tsubasa. So definitely, he's not at all just a 'chicken' infront of Battle Bladers Ryuga. He could tie, if not defeat Ryuga. But still, it's right that even Post Dark Tsubasa couldn't have been able to defeat Metal Masters Ryuga with Meteo. Battle Bladers Ryuga is just overrated. The likes of Metal Masters Julian could defeat him.
