It's crazy if you go through the comments and people talk about electric reels like it's not fishing they obviously haven't deep drop before they don't know what it's like to reel up 300 ft or more but when the day comes when they actually do it though think about this moment in time that they put their own foot in their mouth.
Reading all these comments about "Electric reels" not being fishing is>>>>>STUPID. DEEP Drop fishing to 1000 + feet requires up to a 10 lb or more weight to get to the bottom! YOU AREN"T going to reel that over and over each time you send it down.Nice video
If your motor is running like that while line is going out or stopped, you are just burning up your drag washers or smoking the motor. I love the Tanacoms and people that don't deep drop have no clue lol.
jer bo hey buddy run on out there and drop off in about 1200 feet of water with a 4 lb sinker and crank that thing about two times from the bottom and i promise you. You will have a whole new respect for an electric reel
There is an alarm when a fish takes your bait and now an fishing rod for automaticly bring the fish in... Everyone must fish how they like it but this isn.t my thing..i mean the fight with a fish to bring it on board or land is the most exciting .. and never fished like this but i think it takes away a lot of fun and the feeling of defeat the fish..that you did it with your own hands your own power...but again i never fished like this... Thanks you for making this video and hope you catch a lot big fish
This topic is subjective. When you go deep dropping 700/800ft of water don't even think about hand cranking a fish in, even checking on your bait alone can make your arms sore. So power assist reel really helps when it comes to deep dropping. But like i said, this topic is subjective.
Wtf would you draw in braid line with your hand while reeling? You'll just screw up your finger if the fish runs it'l slice your finger open. Get yourself a pair of fishing gloves.
chosenbarber 1. They weren't targeting the shark.. 2. It isn't just for fun, also for food 3. You try reeling in multiple fish from a massive depth and see how you go..
@@lynnele941 it's because he's a bass fisherman you probably didn't even know electric reels existed are basketballs don't do too well in 3 400 feet of water lol
Guys hes just playing with a new reel! The purpose of this reel is to be used by people who fish for a job! As in people who fish on the daily to bring in some cash! They can let this bad ass reel bring in a fish while they themselves fish another reel. Chill the fuck out!
When you're hauling a kilo of lead weight sinkers and a few kilos of fish to boot from as far as three football fields worth of water vertically for an hour or two, thats when you need an electric reel...
I have the same real never tried it, it looks like is got plenty power. You were needing gloves, a harpoon and or a flying gaff. The leader at least 100 lb, if you were intending to take that fish. I liked it its a good real action video. All I can say the adrenaline is the same like when you cranking your rod. Thanks for the action video.
The reels are great but out of the box you need to replace the felt drag with carbon, it’s a game changer! I don’t know why they have felt drag from factory it’s terrible! But carbon drag is less than $20 and your sorted
I understand when you fish hundreds of feet deep reeling can get old but a Rod that does all the reeling and not even taken out of the rod holder, what fun is that?
Electric reel Is nice but there's a lot more to study It must have an electronic sensor of everything to pull the fish its because the skills of pulling the fish is theres a lot to be consider, you must know the size of the fish from size you learned how strenth that kind of fish and what kind of fish is that, then know the level and velocity of the force of the motor to be pulled up the fish. The strenth of the nylon that you have in you reel the kind of water mode in the Ocean the current level of the Ocean the Wind direction. That kind of things to be consider that human can have that in a skillfull human.
Everyone saying not in deep water. Outside of actually doing it to make money, then what is the point of deepwater fishing? It's a winch. I can see the application for commercial fisherman, but this seems like neither a sport nor recreational. half of the time it seems like they are winching the fish up from the bottom of the sea just so it can die. I'm not a vegan or anything, but even I don't like killing the unwilling participant of my sport unless I'm going to eat it. And I don't make a habit of eating them.
go bottom bouncing in 200' or more, catch your limit of whatever, plus whatever trash fish in between and then get a big jack or tunie and then hook into A 35# GROUPER.....plus let half your boat be 55 & up clientele r family and these reels turn into a prayer answered!! Nice Vid to the creator
yous all fish the shallows 15 metres deep , come where us big boys fish then you know what it's like to bring a monster up from 300 metres plus , your have no arm left
That's why almost 90% fisherman including myself doesn't like much with shark fishing.unless you're decided to hunt them.i'll pray everytime i go fishing not to get this shit..it's not fun at all.wasting my time and energy.I'd rather cut off my mainline as soon as i see it Shark and it BAD LUCK to me.
OMG that screeching would drive me insane.get a penn gold series and reel the dam thing up this is not a good advertisement for shimano and the fish wasn't even that big, whats gonna happen when you get a real fish on?
RAW Shimano? In what way is this advertising shimano? That is a Daiwa reel haha. Spot the guys who dontfish and don’t know how much of a life send electic reels are whilst out deep dropping. Muppets
Great Video! But you don't have to fudge (lie) about the size of the shark...the video stands on it's own! But calling this a HUGE Tiger shark doesn't build relationships with other fishermen!
The fishing is sport. That is not sport at all... That is throw money to the thrash in electronic reels and stupid stuff . You don't feel the animal, you don't fight him.... That's not fun four me.
PANAYIOTIS DIMAKIS nothing wrong with the reel. I have that and a beastmaster both broight in wayyyy bigger sharks and 300 pound goliath groupers. These guys just amatures.
Not fishing at all. You are missing out on the whole point of going. Pitting you’re own strength and skill against the fish. May as well throw dynamite overboard and scoop them out!!
Wow just seeing this out of the box ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxQr1yd4Zc6qJF-scTB6Zb9dQbVpviuRxB recommend I have yet to fish with this set up, but based on the first hands on appeal, I can tell this is going to change the way i pack and carry to a whole new level. If you fish like i do, you know the smaller and less stuff the better. I’ve added a photo of just some of my gear so you can see how serious i am about fishing.
It's crazy if you go through the comments and people talk about electric reels like it's not fishing they obviously haven't deep drop before they don't know what it's like to reel up 300 ft or more but when the day comes when they actually do it though think about this moment in time that they put their own foot in their mouth.
EXACTLY, try reeling up 1500 ft to do a bait check
Can everybody leave him alone have you ever tried reeling line in 1000+ ft?
Ye
Yes always at 2000ft but only for fishes below 10 lbs. That's why I want to buy this kind of reel to ease the work.
In 300 foot of water, not 1000
That shark sure was testing that reel. Sounded like it was going to start smoking.

Is how we do it hawaii too 😜
people who complain about electric reels have never used them. They are a blessing when deep dropping.
If your motor is running like that while line is going out or stopped, you are just burning up your drag washers or smoking the motor. I love the Tanacoms and people that don't deep drop have no clue lol.
The keyboard warriors are out in force! Clearly none of them have wound up a 3lb sinker from 1000ft after you miss the rock your trying to target
at what point is fishing, not fishing?
Woo

456deerhunter chill
jer bo at the point when you really need the fish but not willing to move your lazy ass and reel it yourself to the deck!
Might as well buy a winch an attach it to a metal rod..
turtlefreak11900 isnt that pretty what it is and the same on normal rods
Good idea

Omg it stopped! How do we reel it in?!?
Trent Nadermann with the fricken extra real it has....
is it really fishing if you set the reel on auto fish? lol
Jesine Gassab 50ft 😂 try like 900 feet
David kwon fishing you don’t know what your talking about

I fought a #500 pound marlin yesterday on my 13' whaler by myself with a tiller steering. I wish I had one of these for safety as well.
What is the name and model number of the rod ?

10:48 he said “damn ran out of gloves” huh.
The tanacom makes the most amazing sounds. Waiting for the smoke.
Can you please write what fishing line was used for the shark?
That must be a mighty strong reel.
It’s pretty weak when lines pulling out little silkys stall out those reels
Couldn’t you side tow it ?
Did you run out of battery power?
i really dont see how this could be fun at all oh look we hooked a fish lets watch the reel bring it in smh
Golf is no different.
Boring & senseless.
Come on bro you obviously don't know what you're talking about.

Great vid guys
i want ask you guys and all expert angler how much kg fish this daiwa tanacom 1000.

Plot twist it also buys your fishing license, drives you out to sea, and then cleans and grills the fish for you
That'd be worth double
@@Frindleeguy Man the irony is I've done a 180 since that comment and I see the merit in using these

josue Barrera try pulling in from 900 feet see how fun it is
Not if you’re disabled.
it makes deep fishing fun instead!
Not in 900ft

Good Daiwa... Energi Power.. 👍
this electric kind of reel made Poseidon mad.
Imma buy a winch but gonna reel in manually and put in auto reel so it’s stronger

Hey mate top vid. R u happy with reel?
Im very happy with that reel. Would buy another if I ever need to.
What's the point of fishing for fun if you are going to buy one of these
never wrapp the leader arround something.or arround a hand ..try to give a fish more time to get tired...specially at the surface...
i think my definition of a "huge tiger shark" is different from yours. That looked to be about a 5-6 foot tiger...huge would have been 12' +.
Very nice
yous all fish the shallows 15 metres deep , come where us big boys fish then you know what it's like to bring a monster up from 300 metres plus , your have no arm left
That would have been a 800lb great white if I were on board! lol
Lol dinner time shark cooks up nice bro
Good Stuff
Then the battery runs out lmao..
I know you plug it in
This is not sport fishing. It's catching a fish with machinery.
Looks dangerous a good way to loose fingers.
tiger sharks are not legal to harvest in state waters fl. law
Sharks are endangered anyways. You gotta know when to let go. Wouldn't want sharks to go extinct.
How is this fun it’s like sitting in a deer blind and having a gun that automatically shoots it
