General Maurice Rose Monument Announcement July 20, 2021

On July 20, 2021, Colorado Governor Jared Polis officially announced the plans for the General Maurice Rose Monument in Veterans Park across the street from the Colorado Capitol Building. General Rose, who grew up in Colorado, was the highest ranking Jewish American officer in World War II and was killed in action on March 30, 1945. Known as the front lines General, Rose commanded the 3rd Armored Division as they raced across Europe defeating Nazi Germany.
