Yep, share ur knowledge, just don’t share ur fishing holes. Keep that stuff on the down low or it will be covered in cut fishing line within a few months
I love fishing white bass. It’s super easy but it’s usually a great day catching fish left and right. Plus if you find the right hole, you literally don’t have to move all damn day. It’s a great time
I am hoping to catch the white bass run in Indianapolis, IN in 2022, for the first time. I have told it can be totally wild, and I am so ready! Thanx for taking me with you. Tight Lines Forever (TLF)!
Thanks for sharing the tips on the jig you were using and the technique to work it! I grew up fishing for Crappie on Toledo Bend with my grandfather and have not really fished for bass (white, striper, etc) at all. I really haven't fished that much over the last few years but am enjoying getting back into it. Your videos really help with understanding what's needed to find and catch fish.
I was fishing the creek down the road from me that I know has bluegill and white bass in it I was expecting bluegill and white bass so I was rigged with 4 lb test on my little dock demon and they were tearing up my tiny shad swim jigs but every once in awhile I'm 1 to 2 lb largemouth would come out of nowhere and snap that line. I'm going back in the morning and I'm going to take slightly heavier tackle and see what I can get.
What's is your favorite time.of.day to.catch them? Most of your vids the shadows are long so it seems morning or evening. I've had luck at granbury from 9pm til midnight fishing pier lights but I've noticed they group where the light isn't as bright.
Thanks. Also any issues parking over there? If you were at the creek I where I often go I saw a bunch of no trespassing signs at the usual parking spot.
@@miken7275 yep, you park and walk in at a risk. They (neighborhood) don’t want us there. 🤷🏻♂️ I was going there years before they developed that subdivision so they can kiss my butt 🤣
Great vids brother, I usually hit Denton creek or rowlett creek, all good during run, professionally outdoors man, meaning no trash and all respect to anything outdoors, mind sharname of creek for this vid.?
Love the videos! I've purchased some items to go crappie fishing for the first time (haven't really been fishing at all since I was a teen). Scoped out spots along Drnton Creek on Google maps satellite view. Going to check out the creeks on the western branch of Lake Lewisville too since they're closer to home. What all do you take with you (besides your camera setup)? If you have a video of that that I've overlooked, feel free to just tag it rather than having to take the time to write a reply. I bought a Bass Pro Crappie Maxx rod and reel combo (6'6" medium light), feel free to tell me if that was a mistake as I'm within the return window) 6lb mono line Cheap 12 ft Stringer Bobbers (per your video) Mixed color 1/16 oz ball jig heads Mixed box of 196 plastic jigs Ez fish checker Some tiny split shots and hooks for worms Fish pliers tool 5 gallon bucket Pack to carry it all easily Am I forgetting anything important?
@@BarFlyFishingTexas thank you! I've got some super old snake boots from when I was a teen that I think still fit. Gonna go out next weekend. Hopefully don't get skunked!
White Bass are prolific spawners, a single 2 pound white bass female, can lay up to 900,000 eggs. They eat everything in sight. It is great to cull them out. Females tend to be bigger, producing horn meat as well. They overpopulate, no harm in keeping females.
I loved how you took the time to talk to the guys out there, explaining your set up and exactly you were doing. Great video boss.
Ditto!
A TRUE sportsman!

Love White Bass, fight and taste!
They hit so hard you don’t even have to set the hook!

Always helping la raza out lol great video man!
Caught 5 on Thursday and 12 yesterday in the creek. Gonna be a good season

When barfly is fishing.....the people appear haha.
🤣🤣
@@BarFlyFishingTexas curious have you tried your hand ties in this type of situation? 🤔
I live in Denton never seen that creek . Where is that
Looked like you were preaching to a congregation there for a bit 😂 Another great vid bud!
Do u think the Sandies are moving into Denton creek I was gonna try the creel where the boat ramp was located and move along the creek

Always evening
Caught a big one today not a normal fish to catch around me do they all have the white fibers in the meat?
Do you use hi vis mono?
Yes, Suffix 6lb
Thank you, love suffix for mono. Do you run a leader?
Hope to fish Hickory Creek tomorrow
Hickory is deep and full of people. I’d suggest a shallower creek wit some deeper holes mixed in.
Will a Jighead with a white curly tail grub work for the white bass? Has the run started in the DFW area yet?
nice vid boss
Hey man I just wanted to see if you could tell us where is that I actually live in in Rowlett
Nice...still waiting on my baits by the way.
Not sure who this is. Shouldn’t have anyone still waiting.?!?
I messaged you on fb twice no response.
Another great video, thanks. At the beginning of the vid you tied on a jig……..what knot do you use? double polamar?
Loop knot
Thanks. Also any issues parking over there? If you were at the creek I where I often go I saw a bunch of no trespassing signs at the usual parking spot.

Ha, love it. Keep on fishing. Thanks again!
What size line are you using for good casts on them small jigs? Also do you think you’ll ever go the baitcast BFS route?
4lb. No Baitcaster
It is getting about that time. Yea, I am not fond of the taste of them either, but they are fun to catch.
After catching Crappie all year, white bass fight so much harder!!
@@BarFlyFishingTexas Yes, they do.
Soak em in milk overnight, much improved on the flavor.
Have to make sure you cut out that red meat. Soak em in salt water.
What are good creeks on ray Robert's rn ?
None
There's no bag limit here in Wisconsin for White or Yellow bass.

I was wondering the same thing lol
What stringer do you have again? Need one like that
It’s in the video description with a coupon code
Hey bud wich string you get the 8 the pro or 12?
8
@@BarFlyFishingTexas thanks bud
What part of Denton Creek is this from barfly
Not Denton Creek. It’s a creek off Lewisville Lake.
Is this in texas ?
Yes

6lb mono line
Cheap 12 ft Stringer
Bobbers (per your video)
Mixed color 1/16 oz ball jig heads
Mixed box of 196 plastic jigs
Ez fish checker
Some tiny split shots and hooks for worms
Fish pliers tool
5 gallon bucket
Pack to carry it all easily

Some kind of boots so you can wade or get in the mud without ruining your shoes and wetting your pants
@@BarFlyFishingTexas thank you! I've got some super old snake boots from when I was a teen that I think still fit. Gonna go out next weekend. Hopefully don't get skunked!
I know what creek that is... do you walk up or downstream from that parking area?
Both until you find them
Is that a medium 6'6 pole
Med light, 5’6”
Man I went to Denton creek and didn't catch jack
Im surprised they’re in the creeks because it hasn’t rained in months. I don’t count all the 0.05” rains we’ve had that don’t even wet the roads.
I'm in a two week crash investigation class and then I took a week off so I'm gonna be hitting the river to recharge my brain.
White bass are ok but you must fillet them and remove the red tinted meat from their sides
Yep. Get the red off and they don’t taste bad.
Was the female full of eggs? If so, why not let her go?

I hope you didn't leave that piece of monofilament on the ground.
I was dropping it in my bucket. I use my bucket to carry my trash.
