Exactly. I was born in '71. Remember the old song "Afternoon Delight"? I knew it didn't mean food of any kind & was surprised others thought it did. MANY songs on the radio were like that in the 60's, 70's & 80's. Like all the songs they mention, if you simply pay attention to the lyrics you get the double meaning right away. Sex & drugs are mentioned a lot. My mom didn't tell me what some of the words meant exactly, as in the type of sexual act or body part, but I was definitely told they meant sex between adults & what sex basically was at the age of 6. My mom never stopped me from listening to anything on the radio, she simply explained what they meant when I asked about the lyrics.

Genie In A Bottle came out 8 days before I was 4 and I didn’t think that I loved that song and sang it on repeat on my CD Player belting it out in the house. The girls saying she was 17 she was 18 turning 19 a year older (legit 12 months December 1980-81 respectively) than Britney who was 17 turning 18 in 1999 but 16 when the music video for BOMT came out in October 1998 the album came out January 1999. Britney and Christina were the it girls of the era and hate how the media pinned them against each other both are Queens!!!

Lollipop isn't suggestive at all? After analyzing the lyrics you come to the conclusion that either A. The lollipop symbolizes innocence and that you shouldn't force yourself to grow up too fast because love is going to make your life miserable or B. Trying too hard and having high expectations is only going to lead to disappointment and failure in your love life.
