Wherever You Will Go is still an amazing song I don’t care how long it’s been it’s a beautiful tune. And Lips of an Angel still makes me feel things. I said what I said.
+Anja Koslowski Many one hit wonders have more than just one song or one album. One hit wonder just means the band has one very well known song that everybody knows but nobody really knows any other of their songs. Of course if you are a fan of them, you know more than one song from them.
+Anja Koslowski Because one hit wonder means they only managed to crack the billboard top 100 list once in their career, regardless of how many albums/songs they produced.
To me, one hit wonder means someone had kne song and that's it. Most of them in this Video are only having one song and even researches show that they only had this song
Some of these are songs I still like. Some are distant memories dragged up from the darkest void, where they needed to stay (I'm talking to you Dream). Then there's Graduation. A song I defy anyone who remembers when it came out, not to feel a bit melancholy.
Yeah, usually the last year of a decade always manages to merge into the first of the following decade. This is why some people mistake some things from the late 80s with the early 90s, and late 90s with early 2000s and so on. (Sometimes people weren't even born at the time so, they have to rely on what outside sources say. Or, if like myself (I was a teenager then), one may remember things clearly but not in complete absolute order as they occurred.) Sometimes I have to refer to Google to put some chronological order to my memories of things. lol Like, Santana's Supernatural feels more 2000s-ish to me but it was released in 1999. And Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory always feels more 90s-ish to me, but it was released in the year 2000 (late* 2000 at that). Y'know. It happens.
Paige Bradley, I feel like it ended in 2005, to me 2004 still had that 90's vibe and sort of culture, I mean Friends was still going on in 2004, Hey Arnold was still going on in 2004, ll cool j was still musically active in 2004, 2005 was when everything started changing from the 90's to the 2000's and 2010's.
I dont know about you but most of these songs brought back sweet memories of my childhood. Many of these songs still stay with me to the tune of a hum or verse in my head. cheesy perhaps some of them, but many are huge successes and i for one loved trying to figure out who let those damn dogs out the entire summer of 2000.
I think it's kind of cheating to call hinder a "one hit wonder". They had several songs that definitely got a ton of radio play, like "Better than me" and "Get stoned".

Great story... My sister came home for Thanksgiving from college and told us about a band her and her friends hung out with after a concert on their campus called “Crazytown”. She said the lead singer (Seth Binzer) kept telling her they were going to be huge and that they were dropping their first single in a month... She says she didn’t really give him the time of day, but one of her friends ended up banging dude and he gave them autographed copies of a rough cut of their album. Sure enough they ended up having that smash single “Butterfly”. She still has that cd to this day. 😂😂

can never stop listening to t.A.T.u!
you are right
Right
Tatu forever!
+Alexander Bayley And they had multiple hits. Maybe not in the US but in the rest of the world they did.
+Alexander Bayley Funny how they marketed themselves as lesbians and one of the women is anti-LGBT
*10 yrs later*
Cheesiest one hit wonder songs on 2015:
-Panda by Desiignerr
fite me
+no chill aggree
ignorant masses...desiigner's another hit timmy turner might shut this nonsense
+Lai Show It's not a hit
Too bad desiigner isn't a1 hit wonder he's gonna be here for a while👌
I can honestly say I've never heard that Paris Hilton song in my life, I'm thankful for that.
The Calling song is still pretty good. Wouldn't call it cheesy.
Now the most annoying song would be " what did the fox say?"
That song is great
What the fox are talking about?
It's a joke song though
If only all shitty pop stars were one hit wonders...or zero hit wonders preferably. Could you imagine a world without Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, One Direction, Ke$ha, etc...ah, heaven.
SuperSparrow45 So true some one hit wonders need to comeback because they were actually good like "The Calling" I would pick them over One Direction.
Really Katy perry is awesome the other people anrnt but don't talk shit about Katy Perry
Courtney Kotua aren't*
Courtney Kotua try Taylor Swift. She apparently wrote that song about Katy Perry. Don't believe me look it up.
Sorry I actually like *Kesha ://
I call this skating rink music
lol
this made me laugh so hard lol
true
Exactly
oh my god YES
"I believe in a thing called love" The Darkness, should have deserved an honorable mention.
3:21
Me: sees the lead singer but the first thing that popped into my head is emo peter parker from spiderman 3
I wish you haven't commented so late, bet this would be top comment
Can't. Un. see. Lol
This should be top 10 songs I hear at Kohls...
dj1slandboy lmao ok this is legit
Fuck Kohls
Lmao 😂
Anthony & Bonni Caldeira no u
dj1slandboy lmao
“Butterfly” will always be a banger🤘🏻
lol wow really? weird
Love that song!
Orange County...I said the wrong movie the first time
Exactly!
Lmao🤣😭
The f*cking graduation song still makes me cry. EVERY TIME.
Should have been called "10 songs you'll hear on your next trip to the grocery store"
I thought I knew what you meant by "cheesy"...but with each song I got more confused..
+solomon cruz Same here, very poorly defined and/or subjective criteria.
+solomon cruz yeah, same here @_@
+solomon cruz +1
Yes, +lion0Fredcliffe that's the exact reason.
+44
That Paris Hilton track actually sounds good. It aged well.
It was never considered cheesy or schmaltzy at the time. Just disposable bubblegum pop….
Tatu had a good album and that song plus the other singles were huge!! They also performed at MTV music awards that same year too!
4:40 the moment I left the video to research some stuff.
Who let the dogs out reached god level
Stunt Man kakashi let the dogs out
Hey vsauce Micheal here I know. Can't believe it
They should have made a song about who let the dogs out. They are asking a question but we still don't know who
Hey vsauce Micheal here
Didn't they do a Hawaiian roller coaster ride like song called Bahama rollercoaster ride
It doesn't matter now, all dogs featured in the video are now dead.
I remember immediately that song "Look at this photograph, everytime see it makes me laugh"
photograph by nickelback.
Davi Leon thats not a one hit wonder tho
Sheneiqwa Lapoots not even close lmao
We got Hinder so that’s the closest you’ll get
I'd literally never heard that Vitamin C song until today, and it's got me thinking about my teenage years. The feels, man.
I heard it yesterday and made me think that life goes by too fast. I’m already 25 years
@@elibrown8116 What?!?? You were, like, two years old when it came out.. 🙄
@@ts121084 I graduated high school in the year 2015 and the song reminds me of the time I grew up and also life in a a small town.
'Wherever You May Go' is a great song.
I can honestly say I've never heard that Paris Hilton song in my life, I'm thankful for that.
Unfortunately I did, and now I was reminded of it
You’re missing out.
Yeah, that one was a new one on me too!
Never heard the song, but have seen the porn!
When your super rich and so bored of life
U try different careers like TV shows/movies/singing and unfortunately only a sex tape makes u famous 😂😂
Oh man. These were so good. I miss the early 2000’s.
I dont kiss it all that much.
Wherever You Will Go is still an amazing song I don’t care how long it’s been it’s a beautiful tune.
And Lips of an Angel still makes me feel things.
I said what I said.
Hinder and the calling are honestly my go to for meaningful rock
Lips of an angel is still legendary always will be to me
awwww I loved the calling :(
who else didn't expect that deep voice out of that Nick Carter looking guy
I thought he'd sound like Aaron Carter's baby voice
Seriously!!!! Threw me off completely
I didn't. I also thought it was his brother, Aaron Carter. lol
Cheryl Ferry lol
1.his name is Alex Band and The Calling is amazing
Damn, I forget about “Bad Day” but as soon as I hear it, I remember all the lyrics... great song from a somewhat dull era.
I swear that this is the first time I've heard the ketchup song.
I just added like half of these to my playlist.
lol same
haha same XD
IKR
Dang son! lol I thought I was the only genius! ;)
I had or added most.
How can t.A.t.U. be a !one hit wonder" when they had at 5 albums?
+Francisco Partida it's true they are not a OHW
+Anja Koslowski
Many one hit wonders have more than just one song or one album.
+Kenthis15 then why is dream on there when "he loves me not" and "this is me" both hit in the top ten
Lips of an Angel? Cheesy?
I call that hard lol.
I don't remember 2000s being so 90s'y
Random guy on the internet Lol.
Y'know. It happens.
Random guy on the internet 90s culture didn't really end until like 2004-2005.
Paige Bradley
Paige Bradley, I feel like it ended in 2005, to me 2004 still had that 90's vibe and sort of culture, I mean Friends was still going on in 2004, Hey Arnold was still going on in 2004, ll cool j was still musically active in 2004, 2005 was when everything started changing from the 90's to the 2000's and 2010's.
The Calling song is still pretty good. Wouldn't call it cheesy.
Bruh that was my shit in my childhood (and Lips of an Angel)
It is good and it is cheesy af 😅
@@imjustjohn2223 mine too
The Calling did the best one hit song EVER
rae rae no dude, that title goes to mmmbob by Hanson
I dont know about you but most of these songs brought back sweet memories of my childhood. Many of these songs still stay with me to the tune of a hum or verse in my head. cheesy perhaps some of them, but many are huge successes and i for one loved trying to figure out who let those damn dogs out the entire summer of 2000.
As i can tell they never heard the thong song
I think it's kind of cheating to call hinder a "one hit wonder". They had several songs that definitely got a ton of radio play, like "Better than me" and "Get stoned".
Yeah, they're not a one-hit wonder. They only had one song that topped the Hot 100, but they had more than one hit.
HINDER IS THE BEST (they are my favorite.. well only the original hinder, I mean the new singer is ok but I like Austin more.)
I was born in 1991 . Whenever I hear 2000 , I'm like heh, that's like just yesterday.. then I remember I'm 28 and 2000 was 19 years ago and in 2000 I was like 9
Same! I consider 2000 like 10 yrs ago but then I realize next year, it'll be 2020 and that scares me
same here
Damn same here 😞
'92 here.....yep we're getting old
I go through this scenario like 2 times a week and I'm still shocked Everytime lol
I don't think half of them are cheesy. In fact, with time they aged pretty well and I miss good bands like The Calling, Crazy Town and Hinder.
Most artists never get a hit so having only one is not a shame. Respect!
Where's darude sandstorm
I know right?
I like you
Darude was actually pretty high up with all songs back in the day, same is with tatu, why the hell tatu is on this list.
Reinis Aizsilnieks name 3 other tatu songs then
90's song.
Man, I really did not know that Paris Hilton was a singer.
She's not "lol".
she's not, she just tried getting into music
I hate Paris and despised her tv show but she did make a pretty good song
Hahaha! I don't like her but my mom SURE does dig her music that up until now, she dances when she hears it 😂😂😂😂😂
EskimoTrebuchet SourAppleSmoothie thought only a pornstar

Reason by Hoobstank. Before I watch this, I bet that will be on the list. If not then I guess I'm not too good in this regard
oh I was wrong
connor Leason Harcott the rasmus - in the shadow should be in here too
connor Leason Harcott I was waiting for it too
well you should have been in my book ! :P
connor Leason Harcott hoobastank great group those first 3 albums were amazing
It's almost all early 2000s
+OffLeatherWings A dark time
+OffLeatherWings euro dance was so popular back then, and I still dont get why
+Marquee_MooN It was the new millennium it was futuristic to everyone, and it was a good time to party only comes once every 1000 years and electronic music is great to party too and go to raves. What they were all about.
+Andres Castillo no...
Anything past 2009 is considered the 2010's and are usually not included in lists that talk about the 2000's
“Butterfly” will always be a banger🤘🏻
The Calling song is still pretty good. Wouldn't call it cheesy.
Man I feel such nostalgia for this late 90's/00's songs. So corny yet so true and full of feeling. I miss that.
"the only problem with this list is that it needs to be 40 songs longer" - my 32 year old gf - 2019
I just turned 33, and she's absolutely right!
Heaven (the original) is a beautiful song
Great story... My sister came home for Thanksgiving from college and told us about a band her and her friends hung out with after a concert on their campus called “Crazytown”. She said the lead singer (Seth Binzer) kept telling her they were going to be huge and that they were dropping their first single in a month... She says she didn’t really give him the time of day, but one of her friends ended up banging dude and he gave them autographed copies of a rough cut of their album. Sure enough they ended up having that smash single “Butterfly”. She still has that cd to this day. 😂😂
Who let the dogs out was literally my favorite song as a kid, I feel bad for my mother how much I played it
These songs are goddamn nostalgic
RIGHT!
I remember these but not for the right reasons. They were shit singles
Some of them are yes. Others I'd never even heard of
Seriously I remember butterfly and allstar whoch wasn't on the list being played religiously at the neighborhood pool, 7th-8th grade that was. Damn that was awhile ago....
really surprised a thousand miles "oh that one song from white chicks? I love that movie" wasn't on this list.
That Vitamin C song will always take me back to Year 7 and singing it at our graduation dinner. Ahh the good ole days!
I actually liked "Lips of an Angel" by Hinder. Maybe I'm one of the few. But Hinder shouldn't be considered a One-hit Wonder. They have a ton of great songs.
Graduation got me crying cuz 4 of my homies were killed before we even walked.😭😭😭
Fr?
i feel you homie I come from a dying hood I thank God that I'm doing good and its not me in a pile of skulls
I'm sorry u live in the hood
:(
I actually unironically love Butterfly. Fight me
to bad he had a serious crack addiction.
same
Because they sampled the Chili Peppers;)
Gay. That’s all I need to say.
Hinder is good too
Me and my husband had heaven as our first dance when we got married, it was the candlelight version though.
The thing I remember is that the Calling: Wherever You Will Go was the music on commercials for Law & Order on NBC.
"Graduation" by Vitamin C takes me way back.... it's so nostalgic...
Was literally my graduation song too 😂 back in 2007. 🙈
Scary Movie 2?
my mom and dad graduated HS around that time...
i was born 3 years later..
They played it when we "graduated" from 6th grade, middle school (8th grade), and high school. Class song was Freebird.
Graduated in 2000 so this was our jam. Lol
