You would be amazed how valuable the movement speed bonuses are. The value of being in EVERY fight is insane. And your kiting potential to peel for dumb bruisers to chase the low zilean over the healthy adc is amazing. In the support role that is!

I noticed there wasn’t a QQW combo break down. If you quickly press QQW it’s basically a QWQ and it auto places your bombs on top of each other :)

@@LittleBoyOfHope yeah honestly IDK how it works, I think its something to do with input delay? There are only a few videos Ive been able to find on it.
@@Triggz47 buffered inputs are executed in reverse order
The first Q starts an animation, and then the actions QW (which you input during the animation) are stacked in reverse order and will autocast as soon as the animation finishes
the reason you do this is because the two Q animations will be executed perfectly, as fast as possible by the game rather than relying on you hitting the input timing frame-perfectly
omg, i literally just picked up zilean mid like 3 days ago and loving it, thanks for the guide.
ill add some things here if u forgot some,
- zilean q procs aery when it is first put on, this allows it to get rid of things like yasuo passive, bone plating etc.
- top zilean mid/top in euw doesn't actually like buying tear and going seraphs. personally I've been trying to buy tear after everfrost and going seraphs 3rd item rn. Buying it before mythic delays it too much for me since I often buy darkseal and t1 or t2 boots.
- crown is pretty fun to survive the burst and then run with e or using r. Allows you to bait pretty well.
- shureyas is a support item, but hecarim is really popular rn I could see it being used with something like him on the team.
- personally I don't feel like I need tp often times. I love exhaust, it gives slow to allow for easier double bombs if you don't have E available (ie speeding to enemy but don't want to use w since u need it for double bomb). Along with his relatively good waveclear, also missing a bit of xp/cs isn't the biggest deal (Ik he scales a lot with lvl with tp helps with early-mid, but don't think its too bad).
- very interesting you go w max 2nd. E max 2nd I've noticed as the standard, it has higher wr and playrate. Personally I want to go at least 3 points in E, mid game is more skirmishes, ganks and picks, higher slow/movement spd is more valuable than more ability rotations. Also E usefulness with higher ranks is diminished due to how slow works or smth
- not sure if u mentioned it, but triple bomb is really only possible with more points in W /cdr. You can actually do things like quad bomb or infinite bomb.
- double bombs in generals are easier to hit on minions and allies as they arent dodging. Also enemies might not be aware due to zilean not being a popular champion.
- Putting single bomb on self and waiting for the enemy to jump on you (if you know they are going to ie. rengar r, or things like zed r if u get the timing down) and then using q again on self to cc around is faster and easier than trying to hit the enemy sometimes (along things like zed r u can also double bomb his location instead)
- I think ulting the first person who dies is really reliable, especially for a newer player, as when they get revived, the fight is still going on, while if u save it, it could revive someone who will die right afterwards.
- I think ulting the frontline is super viable in a front to back fight. Even if they arent strong, and your adc is fed, as long as the adc isn't getting jumped on, with a frontline they can output dps, but when the frontline dies. It makes the adcs job that much harder.
- the euw chall otp puts zed, qiyana and trist as his worst mid mus. Havent played vs them yet so I cant too much.

I tryed Cosmic Drive Rush you can chain bomb with 1 Item and Boots or 1 Item and blue buff at LVL 13 if you max W second.

Dblade first item is good, dblade autos + e slow is good for trades especially lvl2 and against melees

You didnt mention flash stunning
You put the first bomb on yourself, then throw the second bomb and flash to where it lands
this also cancels the animation of the second bomb, making it super fast and flashy
It's possible, but I think it is almost never worth doing.

@@ShokLeague That is alright but I think it's defenitely Hard for Zilean.
It seems like a lot of Zilean's early weaknesses could be counteracted by playing him sup - thoughts on mid v sup zil? Obviously you'll have less gold but it doesn't seem that important as long as the utility exists
Zilean supp is ok as a counter, but I think Zilean is even weaker in early game as support. You can't really trade at all so any engage support can just hard engage on you, and most poke supports will push you out of lane. You can do it vs free matchups like Tahm or Braum though

according to your thumbs you are rank1: sylas, taliyah, ahri, lucian, zilean and orianna
He never said he’s rank one Zilean or sylas, or even any champ. If you payed attention he claimed to be “multi rank one challenger player who also played for for several years” THIS DOES NOT MEAN HES RANK ONE ZILEAN. This means he was able to climb, with multiple champions to rank one challenger in his server. If you want to learn more listen to his Q and A where he talks about it more. In case you didn’t notice, this guys pretty legit and a great content creator
