- Plans for a Michael Jackson biopic titled 'Michael' were announced last February and ever since then, we have already been given many updates about who all is involved and progress on the film. We just learned that Michael's nephew Jaafar Jackson, son of Jermaine Jackson, will be portraying Michael and this give us more hope that the film will tell his story properly!

Oh hi there, how are you? I'm a 54-year old Jackson family fan who lives in Baltimore, MD! Yeah, the musical Jackson family from Gary, Indiana are my FAVORITE showbiz dynasty. I ADORE them all, especially the 'singer of my heart', Michael Jackson. I think it's GREAT that his nephew, Jaafar will be playing his ICONIC uncle in the upcoming biopic about his life and career. He's one of Jermaine Jackson's MANY sons.

When I tell you I HOWLED when I found out it was Jafaar😂 And then I immediately thought of you during a previous live saying that you need Jafaar to drop an album! I would have never guessed lol. Knowing that the family is involved in this biopic has me so excited. I'm optimistic that this is going to be epic!! WOW! I also don't know how they are going to be able to fully go through Michael's life in two hours. I feel like it should have two parts at least.
Although I really wanted him to portray Michael initially, I was still COMPLETELY shocked and excited that They actually went with him 😭🙌🏾 And it's crazy how that last LIVE kinda foreshadowed the news 🤯I really love that the family is involved as well because it lets me know that they approve and gives me hope that it will be done right
I am beyond excited about Jaafar playing his uncle. The day before the announcement I was worried about who could play Michael. I commented on another UA-cam page with them needing to cast someone with the essence of Mike (Myles Frost) someone who looks and sings like Mike (Jaafar) and a great dancer (Chris Brown) and that would be the perfect Mike. Then my daughter said they were casting Jaafar and I cried tears of joy. Out of all the offspring of the Jacksons Jaafar is the closest to Mike. I have confidence that this film will be EPIC!😁
It's crazy how so many people were looking everywhere for someone to be Michael when he was right there in the family all along🥺 Jaafar is a perfect for this role and his casting gives me confidence that the movie will be amazing too!

This is the best news I got for a long long time. Jaafar Jackson Michael 's own nephew is the one playing his uncle on the biopic! It's awesome how they are keeping it in the family and I think Jaafar is the perfect fit for the portrayal of his amazing uncle Michael! This is one of the best surprises in the Jacksons fan community and it only makes me even more impatient to see the biopic 💗

I literally went into work telling my co-workers the news, knowing they didn't even know about the biopic at all 🤣 but they were supportive and here for it!🙌🏿
They cant fit his whole life ( career) into a 2 hour film. What they should've done is make it into a part 1 and part 2 film. That being said, dont go into it with very high hopes because MJ is the hardest role to play, you cannot replicate a being like that. Hopefully they won't mess it up too much.

After learning his son would play "Michael", I've been told the Estate is going to sell Michael Jackson's songs catalog for less than what it's worth BECAUSE Jermaine needs money....
.... soooo, now Michael Jackson's life after death belongs to anyone of his brothers?.. Instead of his 3 children?..
That's why I didn't applaud the news of Jaafar's choice. Nothing against Michael's nephew but worried about Michael's brother(s) hands on Michael Jackson's money and artistical choices instead of his children.
From what I know, never heard of Paris or Blanket Bigi endorsing their father's biopic or being O.K. with the sale of their father's catalog at any price, you know?..
