sE Dynacaster DCM8 Review - Five Minute Mics - Finlos Lives

In this video I give a quick overview of the sound of the sE Electronics Dynacaster DCM8 microphone and compare it to other broadcast style microphones, including the Fifine K669D, the Audio-Technica AT2040, and the Lauten Audio LS 208.
The Dynacaster is a well-built and feature-filled mic that is easy to use with numerous voicing options. Depending on how you use the onboard EQ, it can stand toe to toe with the SM7B or RE20 for a lot less money. And even better, it has an onboard mic activator.
Throughout the video I use no post processing. I am recording into Adobe Audition using the Rode Rodecaster Pro II audio interface. My room is totally untreated and not quiet, Could I record a clean recording from sE Dynacaster DCM8 or should I choose sE v7 with supercardiod pattern?

If you have the money, I would go for the DCM8 for the flexibility of sound, and its overall rejection. It's a little more forgiving. However, for the money the V7 is a quality handheld.
