I found it humorous that she said it would be a "permanent residence for scientists and humans". So if I understand you correctly, scientists are not humans. I always thought there was something weird about them......

I don't get it, "I watched the moon landings"! With basic technology we landed there? Over 50 years later and where are we? Still going up in tiny capsules on top of overgrown fireworks. It seems we:re always waiting for some new technology to get us there. We've had the means to put a small permanent colony on the moon for years, we could have sent the required building blocks, we could have put a space station in orbit arround the moon as a controll centre. No you can't call tiny capsules filled with electronics progress. You can't call social media from space progress. Can you imaging Collumbus waiting for a cruise ship to be built before he would set off? It's all nonsense, ther'es no commitment! Eight year projects to send what by the time it arrives is outdated technology to Saturn is wasted money. To really make advancements, we should concentrate on our closest neighbor the moon, the low gravity would enable us to make thousands of low cost launch and return missions to wherever we are capable of going. I hope Elon doesn't make the same mistake
