Oh Sci-Fi Shorts. I wish I had a dollar for every time I found myself mostly to completely clueless at the end of watching you... I'd not be wealthy, but at least I could order some pizza or something
You know the episode is sh*t when the comments are more entertaining
Where do I get my 6:44 back?
Agree.
Agree²
Just give it a thumbs down. Not that thumbs down means anything anymore on UA-cam. It does, at the very least, inform the creator that this video sucked.
@@deepspace8 I did it, mate, for sure.
The Multicolor LED Company is happy and proud to sponsor this video.
The direction, cinematography, lighting, soundtrack, and every other technical detail was exceptional.
You gave yourself 6 minutes to tell a story. That gives you roughly 1 minute to tell me why I should care about the story.
There was no story. Who is the man? Who is the woman? What is "The Chamber"? What are we supposed to understand or feel from their interaction? Who is the child? What happened in the hospital (I'm assuming that's a hospital)?
This would be an excellent "sizzle reel" to show off your technical skills to a studio. It falls short as... umm... a short.
This is exactly why I don't dress my chameleon lizard in an orange safety vest, on rainy days!
Gillette, the best a man can have

Lol came to the comments to say exactly this!!
😅☝️
Way too much dialog for me. rofl
Yes, but it did catch the emotion of a 4 year old's first experience at an Omnitheater.
😄
Needs subtitles. I didn't understand the language they were speaking.
If you like waiting in the return line at Walmart? Then you'll love this.
This needs a warning for ppl with epilepsy.
There is a warning ⚠️ in the description
Also Intellect. My brain cells committed suicide for every second that passed.
Incomprehensible.
It looks like it was filmed in one of those new full surround screen sets. Music mixes nicely. Plot moderately open to interpretation I liked. Assuming clone imprintation.
I like most of "Dust" stuff but this one just blew over my head!!! 🤔
What was the point of this? There is no story.
The flashing lights were extremely obnoxious. I had to keep my eyes closed for most of it.
Snoozefest.
Six minutes of my life that I will never get back.
It could have been five minutes and forty-four minutes shorter.
Well for you, but i know there are sensitive people to flashes, there should have been a warning.
The comments are far more enjoyable than the film
I dont know if he died & went through the process or simulation reality check or life flashing before your eyes or what was happening but i do hope it gets awarded for visual effects👏
I feel like I missed something; was there supposed to be a special meaning to him meeting the beautiful woman?
I think it was himself all along. Take heed of himself repeating on the way out. There are no true memories of the best events of our lives, except in our own minds. If you think there is… you're probably mistaken. Horrors, on the other hand, are each own's.
My thoughts exactly
Pointless, like I'm finding so many videos on Dust, but then all the commenters rave about them. Sad.
Said like you've never been to film school.
@@ajnasreddin you don’t have to go to film school to know that a movie is shit
@@TheDweeb002 You have to go to film school to know how good this film is. It's well done, for what it is.
@@ajnasreddin that’s like saying a customer has to go to culinary school to know how good an establishment’s food is. We’re the consumer. If your product is complicated or had a poor presentation then you won’t be in business very long.
WE are the ones who have to be entertained. Not the production team.
@@TheDweeb002 Nonsense. Dust is a platform for art and film students. They have varying talents to show off.
Maybe you're just a chicken mcnugget kind of person.
Modern art... The only people who say it has meaning are those who are afraid of looking stupid saying that they don't know what it means...
You're supposed to interpret the film the way you want. There is no right answer, because people will interpret it differently. It may not 'mean" anything, that's up to each audience member.
Modern art is an IQ test. If you like it or parrot things like "art is subjective", you failed.
It's a test to see if you can ignore your own eyes, all logic and reason to blindly believe in authority; art experts; no matter how illogical and stupid what they say is, to be part of the exclusive group of "enlightened" saying how deep are things that could have been made by a drunk monkey. It's a religion. I had the displeasure of having class in college, of all things, with such "experts", to my regret.
Sorry, this is a strike out after 3:38. I'm out of here
...and then Simon decided to never take mescaline ever again.
while listing to Pink Floyd.
In the chamber, the man met every aspect of himself - including his "herself" and "younger" self that he was reliving in a moment of time, or in different dimensions.
Wow. What a future. A chamber with strobe lights that makes you hallucinate.
I'll just say that this is one of those videos that invites the viewer into a conversation with the creator(s). It's in that conversation that "what it means" will be created. I'm fairly certain that passively watching this won't be productive.
An exercise in style over substance, this is fine for a music video, but lacks any real narrative.
Music video came to mind for me too.
Fantastisch 👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Danke 🙋🏼♂️
Ok, I guess, if you like stream-of-consciousness videos with zero plot, and just pretty colours.
So that's where the " Property Brothers" come from.
How curious. This film has no redeeming qualities.
Interesting imagery but I must have missed something.
I don't think there's any story to miss. Some of these shorts are to promote someone wanting to get into special effects, someone practicing film making, are film student projects, or someone who wanted to make a film but found the work too much to undertake.
it was some kind of clone factory would be my guess.
Gorgeous special effects
Yes. Looks like a demo reel. Great VFX for whatever budget, good albeit overdone cinematography. And for some reason people don’t ask writers for a story. A poetic story, if that’s the idea, but SOME narrative coherence.
Rename this video "Irritating Light Shows 101" or "How to make 1980s music videos 101"... but I am not inclined to watch the rest of the connection series based on this video.
The visual effects combined with the sound & music makes up for the dialogue. WELL DONE! I absolutely Love the Soundtrack!! (Yeah I'm a synth nerd).
A synth nerd is an oxymoron, you know that, right? ta da da da
Great Stuff 💯💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Dude...
I know I'm high. But I'm not that damn HIGH 🤣 WTF did I just watch?
that was so dumb that was 6min of my life i cant get back
Good music video. Really liked the tunes!
Listening on my best headphones, blimmin marvellous music!
This film needs to have a seizure alert warning. Some people have epilepsy.
Long wait in line. But at least he hooks up in the end. :)
The music sure matches the flashing lights.
Wow, strange and excellent at the same time. Well done. Lighting director and composer of the soundtrack should get some high fives for this one!
on a scale of 0 to 10 that was bloody Epic!
"How it feels to chew 5 gum"
My 6 year old really liked the music. She said it was “cool.”
Very cool.
Cool music video ❤
Yeah, nightclubs are getting pretty weird these days...
If this was supposed to convey a message, have symbolic meaning, represent some deeper understanding or was even allegorical; it went over my head, as I got nothing. I see that others are feeling like they must have missed something too.
Maybe the point was that clones aren't capable of meaningful connection?
What was this and what are we missing? It seems unlikely that someone would invest their time and energy to create something that was void of anything.
It has a nice beat, and I can dance to it.
Needs a seizure warning
Hmm, visually interesting but that's all. It was like voyeuristically watching someone else experiencing an interactive art installation.
Awesome pcs of work thanks!
I'm pretty sure this is an art school project for someone. I couldn't make it all the way through cuz I'm just a simple caveman.
Well made music video
Strobing lights warning.
These ED commercials are getting too artsy-fartsy
As Inspector Clouseau would Surmise Interesting, very interesting.!!!
4:40 🧡🧡
The Produkkt, reloaded.
So Synthwave and LED lights are all that’s needed for sci-fi now? 😢
What in the music video did I just watch?
very good
anyone else 99% sure they watched this OR a similar short film sometime in the past years???
Good channel
Could have been a really interesting Dark Wave music video, if the music have been more of full song.
I thought this was a new dating app.
Well produced enough to hold your attention, decent sound track, but basically a music video with no plot.
It seems Dust has gone the way of all special effects, and no content. That's why I stopped watching TV years ago. Time to follow suit with Dust.
Nice music video. The song only misses a drop
What a waste
How it feels to chew 5 gum
Somebody explain please, I’m not that intellectual get the plot, not kidding. Was he stuck in his past? or he killed his wife by drowning her or he used to work in a morgue, why everyone was looking like him after he came out from the chamber except that lady??? And one last question, why that lady was looking at him like she knew him or they are about to kiss???
⚠️ FLASHING SCENES ⚠️
Could she be someone he met in his past and forgot, or someone he’ll meet in the future. Hmmm.
This is my interpretation as well. I assume he just met her or is about to meet her.
@@bbartky interesting we came up with the same thought.
Being fragmented must be a pain with all his doubles.
Did get any of it. But then Hollywood puts out video no one understands and they call it art and give it awards.
Feels like a cinematography reel, not a film?
Definitely a contender for the worst Dust video of all time. I'll give it a thumbs up for that award. 6 minutes of my life that I will never get back.....
I think this could have done with a lot less music. I feel the music is trying to tell me too much what to feel (e.g. when to feel exited) rather then get the visuals and audio work together to actually make me feel something.
I even think the perpetual confusion on the actor's face is basically what I felt; I have no idea what this is supposed to mean.
This "chamber"seems to pull the same trick that oracles supposedly pulled: be vague enough so anyone can attribute some meaning to the outcome for their own lives.
In a sense that is what this short does as well: give you a vague sequence of images and leave you to figure out if it means something to you.
To me it does not mean anything, but wasted time.
This clip is missing the fragrance name it is advertising. New Axe, maybe?
Rusty Axe
This was the best I've seen from DUST in a long time... saving this to both my Freakout File as well as Personal Enlightenment File favourites!
Brilliant
Do Acid fantasy Sci-fi short film starring Sheila Ball with director by Lorenzo Lanzillotti 🙏🏾
What the hell was this? There is nothing to this. One of the worst "sci-fi" shorts I've ever seen. If you have to go through an ayahuasca ceremony just to understand what the meaning of a film is, it's not a good film.
I'm sure this makes perfect sense to the creator. Unfortunately, with zero context, this is a total waste of time.
Filler, no story. Wasted my time.
2, T: Target creature gets -3/+3 and becomes a Sliver in addition to its other types .;
_Nothing more needed saying ._
Great visuals good acting, absolutely zero story.
The Chamber Pot.
No plot, no point, no conclusion. As always.
I have no clue what just happened. And the lights were annoying.
OK, I'm confused. Maybe that was the point of this film?
Star Cast Name Please?
It's artistic randomness. Not my cup of tea.
if you don't get it you've never been lonely
You are never alone; you just don't realise it.
@@IbnBahtuta Well said bro.
Nah, if you've ever been lonely you won't get it.
Wet Dream: The Movie
WTF? Is this a commercial for a new automotive insurance company
Sounds like someone listened to a lot a old Autechre for inspiration for the soundtrack. The story is bit nonsensical, but pretty visuals.
Weird
Sci-Fi? Really?
