Hi, does this affect sound quality of music etc? I installed an android screen but I ended up returning it because it made my sound system sound trash. I was wondering if the mmi box affects sound quality too?
Not that ive found, i do like my music and did at first have a little interference but found it was one of the accessory wires grounding out and was fixed with a little electrical tape
I can barely make out that your head unit model is the L7 ENTRY model(i think), I have an 03-13 L7 ENTRY, not CIC or NBT, what model MMI and Screen would be compatible?
Since your L7 ENTRY head unit was compatible with that MMI, I am hoping to get the right one by getting the same one you got. not necessarily the same vendor, but the same type, either NBT 6-PIN or CIC 6-PIN.
@@jayare7750 The MMI box itself has different settings to set it to different screen types and sizes which is helpful. Unfortunately I dont lnow what screen would be compatible with your car as in another video, a screen that was supposed to be compatible with mine wasn’t. Hope this helps
I wont recommend the exact same company as they were awful with their customer service. If you are wanting a similar mmi box, i recommend bimmertech or droiduk
I also have a F20 1series 19 model. Would appreciate if you could suggest a suitable mmi box. In Bimmertech they have a few models and am not sure what to get.
Unfortunately I don't know this as people are telling me its CIC even though it has the NBT layout, so I cant answer that. The best was is either trying the forums or maybe someone else in the comments can help

@@TheSkyline35 yeah with this one it comes with the functionality of still using all the oe controls by utilising the oe harness
i recently got the same car and i'm looking for an android screen. it really is a pain to find a good one though.

@@artairodriguezgarcia2608 yes you can control everything from the steering wheel controls but only if the mmi box supports it, as i know some don’t
I just buy exactly the same unit will be come on Monday, are you happy use this or you have some problems??

no you don't need a combox as the mmi box runs off of the head unit and uses its own bluetooth connection, seperate to that of the cars

i was quoted £600 to get a screen and installation didnt know the mmi box could do this! can you send me the link please?!

yes it does, but some may vary

Where did you get the shift knob and boot from?
Shift knob i got off of ebay and the shift knob is from a company called wearelikewise
