Pentel P205! I used the same pencil (only one, no replacements) all through engineering school, and 33 years later this is still my favorite! And I am a pen and pencil fanatic.
The P20X Sharp line is just legendary. I only don't have one in 0.3mm because the store I get my stationery from only had special/commemorative editions that cost more, and it was cheaper to get an Orenz.
The P20Xs are some of my FAVORITES! If youre looking for something VERY similar with a nice textured grip id also recommend the Pentel 120 series or the Pentel AM13 if you like bigger lead sizes. These and the P209s are my favorite budget mechanical pencils of all time.

The Rotring 600/800 is pretty sleek and cool. But it has nothing else to offer. It's just a fancy mechanical pencil. No extra features like the uni-ball.
i have rotring 800 and rapid pro. but its just sturdy. to be honest, i have a pentel graphgear 500 that's almost 18 years now. so rotring's built has lost its novelty. sure it may last 100 years but if typical everyday japanese pencil can last 50 years then what's the point. at the end of the day, its a pencil that's made with brass and pretty much indestructible, and thats all there is to it. since im also collecting mechanical pencil and used a lot of them, i find japanese pencil is very reliable, much more than the any rotring. i bought rotring as a collectibles. but when im using a pencil for an architectural draft, i almost always automatically reached out of any japanese pencil for the comfort and reliability of not breaking a lead.
All these pencils seem fantastic! But if anyone wants a pencil with amazing balance I have to say that the Pentel Smash is one of the best pencils I have ever used. I own a Delgaurd, Kurutoga, rotrings 500 and 600, and I have to say that the Pentel Smash is one of my favorites. But that doesn’t mean I can’t buy more pencils ;)

Uni KoruToga and Rotring 600/800 are the best mechanical pencils.
@@uthnimat I have used a few Kuru Togass before. What you may be experiencing is a lead jam. You will need a lead clean out rod or an extremely thin piece of steel wire to insert into the chuck/clutch to clear out any broken pieces of lead and other debris. Of course, you will have to unscrew the nose cone first, then carefully insert the rod. You can get one of these with some refill eraser kits, like the Pilot MS10 eraser pack, which includes two such rods in the box. Hope this helps.

I like the pilot opt mechanical pencil ! I bought 2 for myself and 2 for my friends ! I'm planni g on buying another for this upcoming school year !!! ❤❤
I both have Uni Kuru Toga and Zebra Delguard. My favorite is Zebra Delguard because my hand is heavy when writing and because the built-in eraser is easy to open and use.

I got Uni Kuru Toga basic, Uni Kuru Toga Advance, Uni Kuru Toga Roulette, Rotring 600, Rotring Rapid Pro, Pentel Orenz, Pentel Orenz Nero, Ohto Super Promecha, Staedler Reg 925 85. Was tried all of them, Rotring has the best built quality but heavy. Pentel Orenz Nero feels like holding a piece of aluminium because it is light. I do not put all of them into my pencil case. I just put them all for my bedroom decoration. I just pick the two Kuru Toga Basic and Kuru Toga Advance for my daily usage.
I am preparing for the exam, so I write a lot and I am solving tests. Which pen would you recommend? Pentel Smash 0.5 and Pentel Graph 1000 For Pro 0.5, which is better?
I love Pilot Shaker best 😅 have 2 of them. Love the weight and the durability...Had it since my elementary days...man...it's been years...around more than 20years i believe 😅 and still Working
I picked up a Pilot Fure Fire sprinter shaker recently but for years I have been using Pilot Dr. Grip, which is the best in my opinion. They also last well and introduced the shaker advance lead idea.
Weird question but which of these do you think is the most comfortable for pen twirling? Most mechanical pencils are too light for continuous twirling or have very long rubber grip that prevents twirl.
My number 1 mechanical pencil is rotring’s first generation. I have been writing with it since I was about 8 years old and no other pen has ever felt the same to me. It’s a shame I can’t buy it anymore. The one I have was my granddad’s and my dad’s. All the other mechanical pencils I have tried broke within a couple of months but the one I have has been used for decades.
Guys, I know that some of you might not care about my opinion that much, but I'm just gonna tell yall anyways. This morning, I went to my local bookstore and bought Pilot Opt. pencil and it was life changing. I have never been so happy about a pencil before lmao! My favorite was the Kuru Toga till I realized it provided no benefit to someone who writes mainly in cursive. The Pentel Sharp Kerry is currently my new favorite. Bought a few Orenz in different lead sizes, but not that crazy about the look and the way it works. The Zebra Delguard just feels uncomfortable all around. There used to be a Pilot Shaker I had which I thought was a really nice pencil - it was black with orange highlights. It wasn't like the pencils in the video, it was wide with a very pointed metal tip that just made the whole pencil look so nice. Not luxurious, just nice. I think I lost it or something. But would really like to have that one back lol. Oh and Pentel's GraphGear 1000 is another favorite of mine - that can hold at least a dozen leads at a time, maybe more.

Uni Kuru Toga Roulette. I've had it for a year and still looks and writes as if it were brand new. However, the eraser is pitiful and small. Do not waste the money on the replacement erasers for the pencils. Instead, buy a dedicated eraser like the Pentel Clic and a few refills for it. 10/10 would recommend
I have about 20 Kuru Toga Advance pencils I bought when in Japan. After you've used this kind of pencil where the lead rotates for even wear you cannot go back to the old type where the end of the lead becomes like a chisel.
I like the regular Pentel Sharp and the regular metal Zebra mechanical pencil. But after seeing this, I think I need to get that Sharp Kerry pencil and the Uni one.
it's true there really precious. but i don't see why you should lock them in a safe because who is going and eventually somebody will find it aaaaand all of those dollars gone to waste
If I were to vote what the best mechanical pencil of all time is - hands down it is the Paper Mage PhD Mechanical Pencil that you used to carry. (I think it is discontinued now?) I still use the one I bought 15+ years ago and I occasionally buy eraser refills by MONO for it from your site.

Exactly what I was waitung for!
My favorite mechanical pencil is the Pentel orenz
Perfect timing! I needed this. :)
I have two of the zebra delgaurds in white
I can't have more than 3 pencils at the same time. They either get stolen, broken or lost.
Lmao I need three pencils at a time bc I always lose them 😂😅
Great pencils. I've been using a Vario TK Fine for 20 years though.
I use the Fure Fure Sprinter amd the Kuru Tugo Too
I NEED ALL OF THESE AAAHHHH
My favourite is the zebra delguard
I have the fure fure corone pencils and they are awesome!
I always get intense cramps from using pencils so im gonna need this vid
Uni Kurotoga Advance, amazing for writing chinese characters and print letters.
I think I’m gonna buy the pilot colour eno for my left handed friend/s, it’s because it’s smudge resistance
These are the pencils I would lock in a safe and never use because they’re to precious to write with
it's true there really precious. but i don't see why you should lock them in a safe because who is going and eventually somebody will find it aaaaand all of those dollars gone to waste
I love mechanical pencils, and this video satisfies me with new choices :D
Shake it to extend lead so you don't need to move your hand 😁 epic
