The number of people that don't have any idea when their last oil change was performed or can't even read a dipstick is just mindblowing. In today's age, people just aren't taught the basics of car maintenance yet they demand so much from their vehicles. It's a miracle that engine didn't get destroyed being down almost 3 quarts. 🤷

Spark plugs can fool you sometimes.
My mom had an '83 Pontiac Parisian and when it was about 5 or 6 years old it would occasionally act like it was miss firing. She took it to dealership 2 or 3 three times and they replaced a couple of synchronizers in the transmission, thinking that was it. That didn't fix it. One of her neighbors son was the service manager at the Mercury dealership. He asked her for more details of how fast was driving and where it was happening.
He then test drove it under the same conditions and location and was able to feel it miss fire. He took back to the shop, pulled the plugs out and found that one of them had a hairline crack in it. The miss fire would occur when she was driving up a an incline while maintaining speed. This would cause the engine to rotate slightly from the torque and that would open that hairline crack just enough to cause the miss fire.
Many years later, a coworker with a Ford Tempo was having a what sounded a lot like the same problem that my mom had. He had replaced the distributor, the coil and rebuilt the carburetor. I asked if he had changed plugs, he said no, they look great. I told about my mom's car and what fixed it. He put new plugs in and his problem went away.

She always got oil changes at the dealership, before 100k miles it magically had no oil and without knowing she drove it until it needed a new engine.... this happen after she got an oil change. I wear my seatbelt but chain smoke cigarettes... Does one offset the other? What if I wear my seatbelt in a Kia but get crushed by a tanker truck?? Am I still good if I wear my seatbelt ? Can I wear the seatbelt but die by heart attack behind the wheel and still be good bro?
