I went with Salter because her Costume Dress has been burning a hole in my inventory for a while now, and with Jalter's outfit coming to Crane's workshop I can have both of the Shinjuku girls in their casual outfits. Nice to hear she's getting a huge buff though.
Same, for me I focused on what I didn't have and story locked, left me three candidates and she was the best looking and neatest concept of the three, karakuri ninja ftw (she beat out Edison and Gorgon).
If you're gonna recommend attrition playstyles as the argument for Barghest, I'd argue this is actually the reason every new player should pick Edison. You can trivialize so many boss fights in general with Edison Mash because of the combined defense up and attack debuff those two provide, especially when supplemented by Edison's overcharge skill. Also this wasn't something he needed his buffs for. He was always incredible at stalling boss fights to death (I literally used him to beat max Tokugawa Kama as an example), so his buffs if anything just make him absurd in general. Furthermore as an Arc 1 servant, his material requirements are obviously going to be less difficult to farm than Barghest's. As for me I just lazily got a 5th copy of Caenis since I already have Edison, Salter, and Barghest at NP5. But real talk, Edison is pretty easily the best choice for newer players. Defensive Arts DPSes are just absurd value when you consider how many good f2p Arts supports there are in general and are probably the best overall investment for farming Lores from event CQs.
I chose astrea. First she's incredible as a unit. Np 4 meaning one spook and she will be perfect for solo clears. If i didn't pick her. I would have chosen barghest for np 5. Sith for np 3. Helena for np 5
I picked Edison because I like his boisterous personality but it's nice to be vindicated as a new player. I was lucky enough to get NP 2 Barghest from the Altria Caster banner so I'm all ready to claw my way through the remaining Lostbelts.
Especially as a newer player Edison is easily the best possible choice you can make due to how heavily the game rewards Arts stall esp at lower budgets.
I was going to pick Baobahn sith, but they put up the banner for her so I gambled 50$ don't advise but I got her FINALLY and with her obtained my sr ticket was free so I looked up and down the list and went with bone of my sword and picked Zenobia not just cause waifu reasons but double castoria farming even at np1.
I'd argue he's actually by far the best pick from SR ticket selections **especially** if your account is new. A lot of CQ/story bosses are drastically easier to clear consistently when you have a Defensive Arts DPS to pair with Mash, and both his skills/NP synergize especially well with her.
Picked up another Astraea for NP3. I considered Medusa Lily, but I only have 350 coins, so it really doesnt change the fact I have to choose between appends or level 120.

new player here I really don't understand all this looping farming stuff yet....I just started 6th singularity I'm at lvl 97 I wanted to pick up either Gorgon or saber alter since I already have normal altoria who is also an aoe buster saber I figured I'd go with gorgon since I don't have a an avenger or a ruler and she is story locked and I wanted to have all the medusa and gorgon sisters and now this video telling me not to pick her....is she bad or something?
Outside of the future Saber Medusa, her variants tend to be pretty mediocre or one dimensional gameplay-wise. Gorgon specifically needs a lot of babysitting and generally accomplishes less than comparable alternatives even with that support.
I ended up deciding on Medea Lily since I didn’t have her yet, shes story locked, and she has only one more banner later this year then no additional ones so far for JP. I was going to get an additional copy of Salter, but she’s already NP2 and I fully plan on rolling for her to get NP5 on her next banner forever from now.

I need help with deciding who to pick. I'm torn between Salter and Ashvattaman. I'd love to get Salter but I've got Melusine already and a lot of Buster farmer. Ash is more of a case having other Buster ST already. I also happen to like both of them. Which should I pick?
If you already have AOE Buster Saber, then I would recommend picking Ash. But, if you don't have a useful AOE Buster Saber, then go for Salter since she doesn't have a rate-up banner any time soon.
Well, I do have Seiba. That's why as much as I like Salter, she is stopping me from choosing her Alter. As for Ash, I do have NP2 Fujino to handle Buster ST duties but yeah, it doesn't hurt picking up Ash.
I ended up picking up NP1 Faker just to have an offensive Pretender in the roster. I know Loli Elly is coming later, but they do different things. The only other one I was considering was Salter NP4, but for the most part NP3 should be fine and I felt the lower diminishing returns increase from 3-4 wasn't necessarily worth a one time resource. Plus having more bodies is going to be useful for *that* fight in the future.
I wish I could pick something like Emiya Alter or Barghest but I am not in the mood to roll 10 copies of Skadi's pet. Maybe one day he'll get a buff, but for now, I'll have to artificially make him look good.

I got SAlter. I've been waiting for this one. With that buff she has coming up, she ends up as one of the best Buster loopers in the game. Plus she gets added to my Saberface collection. I've already got all the others mentioned in this vid except Edison and Demiya, and am not really interested in either.
Black Grail Saber Alter is literally Heaven's Feel canon. Had to pick her for sure. Already got plenty of Sabers, but come on. She's so fun to use post buff I can't wait for it to come to NA... And to pick up another copy in the next SR ticket
My choice, tactically, came down to Barghest and Faker. Faker ended up being my choice, because I already have lots of strong sabers, and Faker fills roles only she can fill. I am quite satisfied with my choice, but i will be pursuing Barghest in the future
I picked Caenis because i didnt have her. 2 years ago when i still played JP i picked Barg off this ticket. I almost picked her again, but I had missed Caenis on both accounts so i went with the new option. I'll get Barg one day.
I've been jumping between Salter and Faker, as i have a number of invested Sabers, but Salter is very good, and i dont have anyone with Faker's Class, plus she has a skill similar to Semiramis' where she negates/gets advantage against a class she normally doesn’t.
I went with Salter, i already have most of the story locked servants at this point except Medea Lily, but i don't think I'm missing out on getting her.
As a Medusa simp, I picked Gorgon no questions asked. I already have all the other (NA released) story locked 4 stars that I wanted and Gorgon has dodged me on every banner I've seen her on.
Went with Wu, Harada Takehito's art style is just a joy to behold. Despite getting a np3 Morgan from the last banner I never got a Wu so she's getting dragged over to my Chaldea whether she wanted to or not
Went with Hephaestion since her banners are few and far between. Standard banner spooks only increase her power and viability as a farming servant, so it's not an issue for me if she does decide to spook. Also, she's hot.
bruh no nero in the list when she is as good and even better than barghest in almost any scenario is wild. Nero is better at singlecore and multicore farming too
Been waiting for this vid :X Anyone care to give an opinion? I'm f2p, but have a few 5 stars and the "big supports" (castoria, vitch), and I have all the recomendations except Caenis and Salter. Don't feel like picking salter cause I have a buch of other sabers (that i don't use). As much is I like certain characters, I also feel bothered by the fact i might not be able to get story locked servants at a later moment. Been considering: Lalter (story locked); Zenobia (She's arts AoE archer, which is a category i'm lacking); Medea (story locked); Also wanted a Caster or assassin (AoE) dps, also don't have herc, but seems a bit unecessary most times. Also, which CE to pick? I don't care about any of them, just want the most usefull (or least shitty).
'Most useful' CE is probably Winter Crystal, the one with Ilya that gives 60% NP start charge. It's an Imaginary Element that is pure attack stats. For an SR, I'm struggling for a choice myself. Caster DPS there are very few - Circe maybe, but she's general pool. Lalter gets a 20 NP charge in the future, which is small but I guess it's better than nothing. Nero has 30 NP charge as is. Tempted on Zenobia because there are so few AOE Arts archers, but she is gen pool ...
Ignoring the value of Story-locked status, i would say your case for wanting Zenobia as AoE archer farmer is valid. The only AoE archer welfare that i remember are Santa Nightingale and Nobu, and Zenobia @NP1 is still more efficient than these 2 welfares for pure farming. For Assassins, you won't need any NP1 from the ticket selections coz welfares of all colors: Kiichi Hogen for quick, Gray for Buster, and this upcoming summer, summer Valks for arts are always better. For Casters, there is Sieg. and Alterego Taisui from Sea Monster crisis event should be enough to cover the need for Caster and Assassin AoE. And if you missed any of these welfares, there will be a new shop in the future to purchase them though 3 or 4 servants at a time only. My suggestion is to check again all the story-locked available and if you still feel you don't like getting them, you can pick Zenobia without regret. I would have pick Zenobia as well if i don't remember how rare to get story-locked intentionally and i'm planning on making lvl100 Xu Fu this summer, i need Paisen for simping purposes. For CE's either, Winter Crystal or the 4 CE with 30% + color boost or NP dmg boost but my personal recommendation would be The Illusory Confessional (Sp. Def against Male + NP Gain) but they are all in the general pool so you would get them either way.
I was between picking Caenis and Percival since both of them are pretty great Lancers and that was a class i was lacking in. Figured that i would just go with Caenis in the end since Percival is not storylocked, luckily enough i got spooked by Zenobia so that helped a lot on my choice.
Demiya NP2 don’t need another. Baobhan Sith is NP5 so getting another copy of her is redundant. Caenis is at NP1 so while getting another would be a powerful increase to her damage I prefer getting more options than just powering up old options. I don’t have Edison so I’ll consider him for a bit. I got Saber Alter with a previous ticket so upgrading her wouldn’t be a bad idea. Bargest huh? Well I was already planning on getting her since she didn’t appear once in 900 SQ for Morgan and NP5 Tam Lin Tristan.
The other banners you can get Edison from potentially are Chaldea Boys banners, which is still kinda sketchy in terms of rates. But more generally I'd strongly advocate Edison because he doesn't need NP levels or even a lot of expensive supports to be broken at clearing event CQs/story bosses. A lot of harder content gets trivialized by Edison Mash.
I went with Hephaistion because I looked at who all was available, and who all I already had. It basically came down as a choice of “who do I not have, and who would fill a Role I don’t currently have.” Example for reference, I seriously considered Percival because he looks like so much damn fun… but I already have Lambdaryllis NP5 and her Skills 10/6/10 (middle skill gained nothing from higher levels besides CD reduction and with her as strong as she is, no fight goes beyond turn 3 unless I royally mess up) so in his and other cases, I didn’t see the point of spec’ing into a Role someone else already filled. The only other one to come close was Barghest because mine is NP4, but in the decision of “get new Servant” vs “improve a little bit more on another” well. Hephaistion won. Yet I suspect I have not seen the last of Barghest…
I've been thinking of saving for Caenis, but it looks like I can just pick her up here. If Barghest shows up in other banners down the line, I can maybe try for her then, but I want my funny horse phoenix tyrant.
Wanted a good generalist single target unit, was gonna get Astrea, ended up liking Hephaestion in the event story so I picked her instead Was tempted to go for “meta” and grab a story locked, especially as a f2p, but figured whatever, it’ll all work out anyway
Choose Bageko since i already have Castoria and Morgan at NP1 while Baobhan Sith is NP2 and id rather not try to get her in another banner, currently don't have Melu to complete the Fae set. SAlter, LAlter and the others will spook me some other time maybe.

My choice, tactically, came down to Barghest and Faker. Faker ended up being my choice, because I already have lots of strong sabers, and Faker fills roles only she can fill. I am quite satisfied with my choice, but i will be pursuing Barghest in the future

I've been jumping between Salter and Faker, as i have a number of invested Sabers, but Salter is very good, and i dont have anyone with Faker's Class, plus she has a skill similar to Semiramis' where she negates/gets advantage against a class she normally doesn’t.
I went with Salter, i already have most of the story locked servants at this point except Medea Lily, but i don't think I'm missing out on getting her.
Either NP2 Salter or NP5 Ashwatthama. Both are storylocked, and I need one more copy of Ash for NP5.
As a Medusa simp, I picked Gorgon no questions asked. I already have all the other (NA released) story locked 4 stars that I wanted and Gorgon has dodged me on every banner I've seen her on.

Went with Wu, Harada Takehito's art style is just a joy to behold. Despite getting a np3 Morgan from the last banner I never got a Wu so she's getting dragged over to my Chaldea whether she wanted to or not

Picked Np2 Normal Tristan. He does not have any more rateups i would like to roll on and he is for my money, a better than an np1 baobhan.
Went with Hephaestion since her banners are few and far between. Standard banner spooks only increase her power and viability as a farming servant, so it's not an issue for me if she does decide to spook. Also, she's hot.
I literally picked Bradamante 😂 but I picked up Percival cuz I think he's neat

I'm f2p, but have a few 5 stars and the "big supports" (castoria, vitch), and I have all the recomendations except Caenis and Salter. Don't feel like picking salter cause I have a buch of other sabers (that i don't use).
As much is I like certain characters, I also feel bothered by the fact i might not be able to get story locked servants at a later moment.
Been considering:
Lalter (story locked); Zenobia (She's arts AoE archer, which is a category i'm lacking); Medea (story locked); Also wanted a Caster or assassin (AoE) dps, also don't have herc, but seems a bit unecessary most times.
Also, which CE to pick? I don't care about any of them, just want the most usefull (or least shitty).
'Most useful' CE is probably Winter Crystal, the one with Ilya that gives 60% NP start charge. It's an Imaginary Element that is pure attack stats.
For an SR, I'm struggling for a choice myself.
Caster DPS there are very few - Circe maybe, but she's general pool.
Lalter gets a 20 NP charge in the future, which is small but I guess it's better than nothing. Nero has 30 NP charge as is.
Tempted on Zenobia because there are so few AOE Arts archers, but she is gen pool ...
Ignoring the value of Story-locked status, i would say your case for wanting Zenobia as AoE archer farmer is valid. The only AoE archer welfare that i remember are Santa Nightingale and Nobu, and Zenobia @NP1 is still more efficient than these 2 welfares for pure farming.
For Assassins, you won't need any NP1 from the ticket selections coz welfares of all colors: Kiichi Hogen for quick, Gray for Buster, and this upcoming summer, summer Valks for arts are always better.
For Casters, there is Sieg.
and Alterego Taisui from Sea Monster crisis event should be enough to cover the need for Caster and Assassin AoE.
And if you missed any of these welfares, there will be a new shop in the future to purchase them though 3 or 4 servants at a time only.
My suggestion is to check again all the story-locked available and if you still feel you don't like getting them, you can pick Zenobia without regret.
I would have pick Zenobia as well if i don't remember how rare to get story-locked intentionally and i'm planning on making lvl100 Xu Fu this summer, i need Paisen for simping purposes.
For CE's either, Winter Crystal or the 4 CE with 30% + color boost or NP dmg boost but my personal recommendation would be The Illusory Confessional (Sp. Def against Male + NP Gain) but they are all in the general pool so you would get them either way.
Took Edison, mostly because I didn't have him.
I was between picking Caenis and Percival since both of them are pretty great Lancers and that was a class i was lacking in. Figured that i would just go with Caenis in the end since Percival is not storylocked, luckily enough i got spooked by Zenobia so that helped a lot on my choice.

Baobhan Sith is NP5 so getting another copy of her is redundant.
Caenis is at NP1 so while getting another would be a powerful increase to her damage I prefer getting more options than just powering up old options.
I don’t have Edison so I’ll consider him for a bit.
I got Saber Alter with a previous ticket so upgrading her wouldn’t be a bad idea.
Bargest huh? Well I was already planning on getting her since she didn’t appear once in 900 SQ for Morgan and NP5 Tam Lin Tristan.
The other banners you can get Edison from potentially are Chaldea Boys banners, which is still kinda sketchy in terms of rates. But more generally I'd strongly advocate Edison because he doesn't need NP levels or even a lot of expensive supports to be broken at clearing event CQs/story bosses. A lot of harder content gets trivialized by Edison Mash.

I went with Hephaistion because I looked at who all was available, and who all I already had. It basically came down as a choice of “who do I not have, and who would fill a Role I don’t currently have.” Example for reference, I seriously considered Percival because he looks like so much damn fun… but I already have Lambdaryllis NP5 and her Skills 10/6/10 (middle skill gained nothing from higher levels besides CD reduction and with her as strong as she is, no fight goes beyond turn 3 unless I royally mess up) so in his and other cases, I didn’t see the point of spec’ing into a Role someone else already filled. The only other one to come close was Barghest because mine is NP4, but in the decision of “get new Servant” vs “improve a little bit more on another” well. Hephaistion won. Yet I suspect I have not seen the last of Barghest…

I went for Barghest since I didn't have her yet on NA and even though I know the LB6 servants tend to get rateups oftentimes, I didn't let that change my mind. I had considered Salter so I could finally take mine to NP2 but I just wanted Barghest more
