When I was a teenager ´Heroes del Silencio´ s ´ music was played everywhere, in any club, in any disco, in any pub, wherever. They were a great band indeed. My favourite songs by them are ´ Hechizo´ , ´La Chispa Adecuada´, ´Sirena Varada´ ´Avalancha´ and ´Iberia Sumergida´ . If you want to listen to more spanish rock, I recommend you Extremoduro. Although they're are well known but they are not as mainstream as Héroes del Silencio. They are rough but melodic at the same time. A good song to start it can be "Deltoya". The song is from the 90s but try the 2000s version because they sound better. Also the lyrics in this group are maybe not for the weaker sensitibilities, lots of drugs and sex, but I hope it doesn't scare you.

Hi, Gavin, well comeback! Héroes del Silencio (Silence Héroes) was a band that had a great successful in the 90's in Spain, part of Europe and Hispanic America. They are a rock band but they play not only hard rock, they have "rock ballads'(I'm not sure if it's the correct name) with influence of another music styles, as their famous Flor de Loto, with some Indian music touches, but if you want to heard it, it's better the videoclip than the live version. They have a lot of songs but I think you will love Avalancha. Hi Gavin, what can I say? You have reacted to my favorite group of rock & roll of my life (Queen is the other). If I am a fan of Mónica Naranjo, with HdS I go more and more crazy. I loose my objectivity when I talk about them. Yo have reacted to an iconic song of them of the last tour in 2007. They separated in 1997 and come back just to do a tour of 10 concerts. The last one was in Valencia with 90k espectators (we are talking about a group separated 10 years ago, with a front singer that have his own successful solo-career). This song is from the Album - Senderos de traición (Trails of betrayal), their 2nd album of studio. They have a total of just 4 albums of studio: Mar adentro (Out to sea), Senderos de traición (Trails of betrayal), El espíritu del vino (The spirit of the wine) and Avalancha (Avalanche). The 2nd and 3rd were produced by Phil Manzaneda and the 4th was produced by Bob Ezrin... You have asked for more "harder songs", of course they have, and ballads too.

Hds has always a great sound live in their concerts, they have never disappointed and their albums are a reflection of those live shows. They conquered Europa and USA singing in spanish. They sang an acoustic mini live in the MTV. (Enrique Bunbury, the front singer have an alone recorded unplugged in the MTV - El libro de las mutaciones (The book of mutations) where you can find the mutation of some songs of HdS).
Just 4 studio albums, 5 live albums, with more of 25years in the market, but their spirit still is alive, more than 600 live concerts in 9 years arround the word. The best spanish rock & roll group of all the times.

Hi, Gavin, well comeback! Héroes del Silencio (Silence Héroes) was a band that had a great successful in the 90's in Spain, part of Europe and Hispanic America.
They are a rock band but they play not only hard rock, they have "rock ballads'(I'm not sure if it's the correct name) with influence of another music styles, as their famous Flor de Loto, with some Indian music touches, but if you want to heard it, it's better the videoclip than the live version.
They have a lot of songs but I think you will love Avalancha. It have differents hard and smooth moments.

@@CBOANDALUCIA lo del Robe se arregla haciéndote chapista y fumando mucha base para adquirir esa voz churruscadita. Lo de Bunbury está más difícil, su tono es muy testosterónico.
Yo creo que el señor te respondió sin mucha atención. Él lo que deseaba era dejar claro que Robe es Robe. Algo que nunca viene mal recordar, no olvidemos que en algunos lugares de las Hurdes Robe es Roberto. Lo que genera una gran confusión entre sus seguidores más intensos.
@@CBOANDALUCIA por cierto, estoy muy de acuerdo con tu avalancha. Una de las grandes canciones de rock del último cuarto de siglo, a nivel mundial. Bunbury era demasiado divo para un público que venía de Barón Rojo y Rosendo, y se fue injusto con él y con el grupo por elevación. Pero HdS fueron una banda grande de verdad. Con forma esférica y achatada por los polos.

Quise que el otro me explicara por qué escribió eso, ya que que no entiendo a qué viene hablar de Robe y Extremoduro en un comentario donde explicaba sobre HdS, leyéndolo parece que me he metido con ellos, y nada más lejos.
Robe y el resto de la banda son unos monstruos, de una manera diferente, que es lo bueno, no tener clones unos de otros, sino bandas con personalidad.
Ya hay bastantes clones en otros estilos.
