Dr. Pema Düddul was the Buddhist Chaplain at the University of Southern Queensland from 2019 to 2023, as part of the university’s multi-faith service, and is currently the Co-Director of Pristine Awareness: Foundation for Buddhist Practice. With forty years of Buddhist practice, starting in the Chan tradition and later transitioning to Vajrayana, Pema now embraces a universal form of Buddhism. He has received teachings from masters across all four schools of Tibetan Buddhism and holds tantric vows in the Düdjom Tersar lineage, with Düdjom Rinpoché, Jigdral Yeshé Dorjé, as his Heart Lama. Pema has also taught mindfulness and meditation since 2007 and authored multiple books on Buddhism incl. Luminous Awareness: A Guidebook to Natural Awakening in Life and in Death, which now includes a forward by H.H. the Dalai Lama.
