I never understood the hate towards fits. My mom has one and it has the best acceleration and turning, which is great since she drives like it's class b rally 😅
That's awesome. You've put alot of effort into that! Very good finish for what it is. My current 2wd off roader is a Honda logo. Which is basically a little k car. Looks like the defender is back now then!
Thanks! The defender is back but has an electrical gremlin so out of action until I find that! Had to Google the Honda Logo, I bet that's fun off road, I'm quite surprised by how capable this is on the mud! Have you done anything to the Logo to take it off road or is it just standard?
@@TheOrangeDefender Haha yeah I had never heard of them before. No the cars completely standard bar some full profile tyres. Does well. The chap I got it off of actually won the trials championship in it.
OK... so I bought one yesterday (same year, same spec) ready to chop... so where is part 2? I am planning to put the roll cage inside the existing bodywork with a couple of retaining nuts built in for the roof rack to bolt through to. That way I keep the pickup area as clean and clear as possible. Thinking about making it possible to hose or preassure wash it out when it gets dirty (as things do). Any tips of srengthening the springs... are there any straight swaps? I am thinking about radiusing the arches and maybe adding flares so larger wheels can work.
That’s great! Part two is recording as I type this! Fitting the wheels today and fitting the lift kit! Hopefully I can answer most of your questions and how I did it in the next video. 👍 Tag some pics of your build with me on Instagram!
Hahaha so I’ve subbed! 🤣🤣 definitely worth a follow. Look forward to the next part if you can sort the tyres out 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
On it! Got a new lift kit arriving soon!
I love car
This is or was a 2005 1.4L 5 door standard Honda Jazz / fit and we've converted it into a mini off-roading pick-up truck.
I've been considering this with my own fit.. but the bed should really start behind the front seats. Lot of wasted space could be used for the bed.

What rush.

Had some Covid related issues so couldn't carry on. I'm in the process of making a final video for them just to tie them up!
