EZ PZ , just search how Indonesian people made their motorcycle license , we have writing test too , but the different is on the road test ... bro you must have free style skill to pass the road test. It's not a joke. I'm serious.

1. The test is actually kinda difficult because sometime the English they have on the test makes no sense, you have to get right on 45 of 50 questions to pass the test . Practice alot before doing the test but if you fail you can take the test again the next day, here is a link to a website where you can practice web.archive.org/web/20200124200017/thaidriving.info:80/ But i would use another practice test as well. 2. Yes i did the driving test with a manual but you are allowed to do it with a automatic motorbike aswell. 3. I think i was on 1 gear on the plank because the bike doesn't have so much power. 4. No they didn't time me when i was on the plank but they said i should drive relatively slow everywhere when doing the test. Are you thinking about taking a driver license here in Thailand ? :)
Quick question if you don't mind, do you need to be living in Thailand to be able to receive a Certificate of Residency? Or can someone who has a tourist visa aquire a TM30 from their current hotel?
You can get a certificate of residency with tourist visa and also a tm30. Ask your hotel to go into the immigration website and send that you stay at their hotel, takes less than a day to get the confirmation from immigration also tell the hotel staff that you want a picture of the confirmation. Print it out then go to the TM30 counter in immigration. :)
