The Gov needs to understand what the laws is regarding people on the outside , he could end up in prison himself if he does not understand and follow the law.

You clearly have no understanding of how an EWP (Elevated Work Platform) or specifically a boom lift in this instance or the "blue thing" as you so insightfully describe it, works. There’s no issue with it being where it is.

As much as the governor didn’t handle certain things well he dealt with the entire situation quite reasonably and kept very calm, when he came around he did come across as quite a nice chap

I mean I very much am split with the style of your videos, I think at times your knowledge of the law needs improving, I also think at around 17:08 you out yourself, auditing is about exercising your right to film public places within the law, yet you say words to the effect of if you had of left me alone I’d have got bored, that would tell me your primarily looking for a reaction and to provoke, I do hope however I’m wrong…
You're certainly right about improving knowledge of the law. However, Curtis here seems to be following the same pattern as we always see. He'll believe what he wants because it suits him. He will keep on telling people he has implied rights...when he doesn't. He'll keep on about public access as if it somehow justifies trespass. He'll keep on telling people they can't touch him..until... well I just hope Curtis has the balls to actually post the first time he is forcibly removed...! That I can't wait for.

Hes does not want you on the grounds because hes got prisoners inside that you may commit a offence. But hes not worried about the craine near the fence that in mates can escape from. This guy is a total doughnut lol.
They leave them up and then disable it so it cannot be used. Im sure it is on cctv .also there's only at certain times we're the prisoners are unlocked for short periods
The isolation key is removed, but all you need is to push a piece of metal into the key mounting and an old lucas key. Done ir plenty of times working on building sites wirh dump trucks
believe me that crane would not make it 5 inches before they were on it it makes the loudest beep beep and crawls so slow .plus that bit where the crane is doesnt have access to inmates theres 3 or 4 more fences between that wall and the nearest prisoners .

The reason the platform is raised is actually to prevent it being used, yeah as u say it could be dragged to a fence and if somehow someone on other side could use it etc, but u know what's easier done? To get onto that platform with a scooby key, or a screwdriver and start the thing up from the platform with full mobility on it, way more likely someone starts it up and drives it than drags it to a fence, platform up there makes it a bit more difficult for the opportunist, not a criticism, just an explanation of why we leave cherry pickers and platforms raised when not supervised
That said, you'd think these people would be briefed on what the law is, what they can and moreso can't do, and what exactly you are allowed to do, you'd also think they would realise that anyone doing what u do know exactly where the line is and as much as you might prod that line, you'll never cross it
The vast majority of modern EWP's are locked electronically. So you can't start them with a scooby key or screw driver anyway. Even if one was to try and tow it or move it as it stood the wheels wouldn't rotate as they are completely clamped due to the safety features implemented on these machines.

The only issue I have with filming prisons is that when you film the officers, you give a visual description to everyone in the world. If there is a prisoner who then wants to blackmail an officer, get them followed by one of their associates , all they have to do is say, "watch this programme" then they have a visual, can be followed, the prisoner would already have the name of the officer.... there is an underlying threat.

Good video Curtis, very interesting, especially the big blue fork lift sitting in the car park, wonder why the Governor avoided explaining that. The Prison Officer and Security lady seemed reasonable, until he appeared, turning the situation into a battle of words, citing the law, threatening to call Police, and you obviously know the law, so then he started using his attitude and flaunting his power, and was firmly put in his place, by you. You are talking tosh about the “ blue thing”. The MEWP weighs about 8 ton and you need a key to move it. How will someone make it go up and over. It goes up and extends out, that’s it.
Curtis, there are a number of legal boards who audit all different areas of British prisons & I highly doubt that you're employed by any single one of them. So that Governor had every right to tell you to leave.
Anyone can film anything in public from a publicly accessible area. If a member of public wants to check from outside how their tax payers money is spent they can. He has the right to ask him to leave but he also has the right to decline his request.
@@danielmakepeace467 that’s not the case at all, once someone is asked to leave a publicly accessible area which is private it becomes trespassing and allows the owner/representative of land owners to remove using reasonable force. It’s the same law that allows you to do this if someone did this at your home (or a council for example which is publicly funded). You cannot refuse to leave, it is right that it’s a civil matter but force can be used to remove you. There are also Prison Rules (enshrined in law) that a person could potentially be breaching.

I thought the governor was okay, a bit wrong on filming, but from his point of view I thought he was reasonable about it., complete contrast to the open prison audit the other week. The ending was great!
