Melissa you have been with me through the good bad and ugly my entire adult life. I've seen you more than 60 times live. As a matter of fact you came to Allegany casino and they lost your luggage. Everyone in the front row including me donated some " bling" so you didnt have to perform "naked".

I remember the night very well on 1986. Back in all stars bar Waukegan, Illinois. We did drinks and talked for an hour before your show. But The Thing is, I didn't even know. It was your show? You go on a you, gotta On stage And blew my mind. I didn't know that I was talking to a future star You know that I didn't even know that you're a singer but we had a blast. We did so Many shots.. I fell in love with your music that night . The whole show you're sang to me like I was your man. Later I found out you like girls but that's cool.❤ I've been a super fan ever since. When i went to U of Missouri at Columbia, after K-State, i was both on the student music committee and co-pres of the LBGT student group. . . . Melissa had just really broken thru with "Yes I Am", the song " I'm the Only One" video with Jen Anniston in heavy rotation on MTV and VH1, and the students spent what's was a too-cheap, embarrassing sum for her to do a concert. . . .Free to everybody who showed, it was the best-attended production, thousands, and many turned away at the door. . . . .This was aiso coinciding with the school's LGBT Pride Week, and with a nervously-shaky stutter, i mentioned to Ms. Etheridge that we were having a showing of the AIDS Names Memorial Quilt the next day or so and she encouraged the audience to come to that. Amazing person, amazing performer, and I'm so happy she enriched my life and so many.

I was out as a student after high school when i went to a very large university in Kansas that shall remain nameless. . . .Okay, Kansas State. I met MOSTLY lesbian and bi women, since that was right by a major military base, and not so far from Ft. Leavenworth either. . . . they introduced me to her, and i thank Goddess Mother Nature for it every day.
