I was 13 when I first heard this song on a Detroit rock station in the summer of ‘88. I immediately got on my bike, rode 7 miles across my small midwest town to go buy this cassette at a KMart. I knew there was something about her voice that I could relate. That entire first album is still my favorite. So raw and unapologetic.

I'm 41, however, my mom used to blast her hits back when I was a young girl, as Melissa Etheridge was her favourite vocalist. Like most of the songs I grew up listening to, I now love. Being a gay woman made me have more of a love for her music, as we can relate. She's amazing!

This is my favourite song from Melissa. I have it on a 12" 45 Vinyl from the 90s. I was lovely enough to see her twice live in concert. Once in the 90s and once again in 2000s . Fantastic concerts both times.
My mom use to listen to her she met her in the 90s in a broke down bar in PHX AZ

Totally underrated artist. Melissa has achieved enormous success & continues to thrive despite her senior yrs. She is a gun guitarist/musician. That Powerful voice & raw energy makes her live performances FORMIDABLE !!! Gifted talented artist who deserves all the accolades & credits highlighted throughout a stella career. Great artist & woman who refuses to stop performing. Gotta love the girl !!!! ❤️
