    Glad I found your channel. My locs are behaving exactly like yours. And I think I'll try the retwisting of roots only. I just don't understand why my coils are still tight, budding towards the root only. 3 months loced

    I’m 4weeks and finally did my first wash and retwist yesterday!!! I already have some budding... i was completely shocked because my hair is pretty fine and not very kinky... but it tangles lol... i think me not wrapping my hair at night and actually waiting 4 weeks to wash helped... my first set I don’t think it was as soon... I’m not complaining tho... makes it easier.

    • @naturalbeauty0214
      @naturalbeauty0214  5 років тому

      Jessica B. Waiting 4 weeks definitely helped but I would still wrap at night. Try to get into the habit now so that you won’t get used to not having your locs wrapped. It will prevent so many issues like dryness and build up in the long run.😊

    U make it look so easy!!! My son got locs 5 weeks ago he had long hair already so his are to his shoulders the lady used the method where you go in with the hook to create a loc anyways I tried practicing retwist yesterday and I clipped it at the bottom like you but the rest of it below what I retwist Ed seems to just unravel what I have twisted and I’m twisting in the direction it was placed in idk what I’m doing wrong I should add that my son is mixed & has spiral curls any ideas what could be going on?

  • @Coolkem1
    @Coolkem1 5 років тому +1

    I started my locs 2 weeks ago with a two strand twist. I have low density hair so I did them small so that when they go puffier it will still look kinda full. I have no idea what I’m doing cos I’m getting all my info from the tube 😆. I’m thinking of washing at the 3 week mark and retwisting then. The problem is my twists keep unraveling especially the first week and they still curl up because my hair is so light and fine. I hope they drop properly as it locs up.

    What is the desired look? The reason you do t clamp at the bottom?

    • @naturalbeauty0214
      @naturalbeauty0214  5 років тому +2

      I want them to be thicker at the ends. A nice full set is my goal. Palm rolling all the way to the ends and clipping further down the loc can prevent them from expanding during the locking phase.

    • @BABIIDIZZAZTER
      @BABIIDIZZAZTER 5 років тому

      NaturalBeauty0214 Ahhh ok. I’m about 2 weeks in and have medium parts but I do want to make sure that they’re thick. My loctician here in Houston will palm roll all the way down and clip on the ends. Even though my parts are medium sized do you think it will make them small?
