I installed my risers after watching your video and I have a couple of comments that might be of interest. It looks like I bought the identical kit to you and I was concerned that the reservoirs wouldn't clear the screen with them fitted and the clutch and throttle cables might be pulled tight. However there was plenty of clearance and the cables were fine. The only problem was that the rubber cover to the throttle cable rubbed against the bottom of the top windscreen screw, so I trimmed a couple of mm off the screw so it didn't protrude below the rubber washer and all was fine. Finally, I put a thin film of grease around the cap and didn't need a hammer. I was able to seat it with one finger and there was a "click" as the rubber O-Ring went below the handlebar level. Very happy with my purchase and thanks for the video.
Thanks for the Vid, I actually did my 2012 Gen 2 yesterday. A quick 5 minute job. I also moved the brake and clutch levers slightly down to compensate for the extra 25mm in height. I'm not a great fan of the plain blanking plates, they would look better anodised black. The extra height makes a big improvement on my arthritic neck.
Hi was the ride much better ? I have just got a zzr1400 with handle bar conversion but I'm not keen on it was thinking of putting the original bars on with risers like yours !!!
Hi mark, Yes,- it is much better. It takes more strain off you arms. I left the top of Scotland and come back to reading/Basingstoke ( in one go) and I was glad i fitted them. I have the original seat so after that many miles I had a sore bum. For me I am happy I fitted them and it was worth it.
@@markdunbar8219 Oh, that's a shame. I'm thinking...... Maybe you can get in contact with a small company and ask them to make you some that is custom to your bike?
Hi Gary, they did not catch but was very close to the top screws on the screen. Since then I had to remove the nose cone and since replacing it they now catch on the top screen screws so I cut the screws down a little and it's all fine now. I hope this helps.
Sorry for my bad English but I hope you understand. I have the problem that one cap goes not in the hole... One without any problemI but the second doesn't work. I use oil, liquid soap ect. but it's not possible to bring the cap in the hole. I try again and again... do you have any idea? I'm desperate... should I sanding down the cap a little bit?
I can only suggest what you have already done. I would say, don't sand it down but take it back to where you got it from and explain it to them and they may replace the cap. Sorry I can help any more
No problem... thank you for your answer. I think on this one cap could be a kind of production mistake an the diameter is a little bit to big...i ordered by eBay but they comes from UK and on the package was made in China.
Hi, I have not taken theses off the bike yet. I'm guessing, undo the Allen key bolts and lift off the risers and then push the caps out that way. Give it a go

Hi when you fitted the risers do they catch anywhere on full lock.thanks Gary

So the maximum rise would be the 1”? Longer than that would hit the fairing on full lock?
@@punto1410 yep.. 1 inch is perfect. Anything more and it rubs.

Hello. Where can I buy the closing cap?
@Gab3n1983
Not sure, I got them with the risers.
@@timalick2 thank you.
what is link to these please if you can remember ?
Hi, sorry I can not remember as it was a while ago now
Go all the way and put handlebars on
What mm are the risers ?
It's been so long since I've fitted them but top of my head it's about 25.4 mm.
2 Wheel Trio I seem to be only able to find 200mm but would like 25mm. Did you get benefit from using these on the ZZR?
@@Moxyator
Without checking I can't say how much mm it is but they did make a difference on tours
Qual é o nome desta peça ???
In English please
Just took my risers off.
Are these Genmar bar risers?
Could not tell you as got them last year.
They are 1" bar risers off ebay
