Hopefully somebody makes a documentary on these two lovely souls. The world needs to know what it missed out on as well as celebrate what they did. Their music took a place in my heart when I first heard of them 2 years ago and it will always be there. How happy they were to be playing music always stuck with me also. They were doing what they were put on this earth to do and they had smiles on their faces every step of the way. Just pure joy and happiness that they got to share their talents with all their fans. I don’t think I will ever fall in love with a band as fast as I did for them. Their music will forever be apart of my life. RIP Stephen, Audun, and Trevor. RIP Her’s. You will forever live on.

Comments about how excited they were to be touring and fans asking why they cancelled their next show not knowing they were just killed in a car accident on the way to that show. Hey Stephen and Audun,
I discovered your music at an extremely dark and low time in my life, and up to this day nothing has ever even come close to replicating this resonance that I have with your music. Come to think about it, I found "Invitation To Her's" exactly two months after the unfortunate accident that took you both away from this world.
I just came across this last performance and now I'm tearing up like crazy. First time I've ever audibly screamed in loss about a death of someone I don't personally know.
This world is unfair the way that it is. You and your pureness of heart and talent, and how I hoped that it would have carried on just a little bit longer so that the world knows your name.
Part of me wants to carry on your legacy by spreading the word and share about That Band of Her's to as many people as I can. Another part of me just wants to keep this kind of music for myself. I hold it very near and dear to my heart, and no music has ever come this close to speaking to me on such a personal level.
Rest in peace, love and rock on forever, Hers. We love and miss you a lot.

I love Her's so much, I wish I had the chance to seem them live, but we are lucky to have ability to listen to the songs they have made. I have covered Harvey twice now, first time was with my band and second was just yesterday solo in front of multiple schools for a JROTC Cadet Picnic Event. This was the first time I've sung in front of a big crowd and everybody gave me compliments saying, "You ate," or "You cooked" loll. I'm very thankful to Stephen and Audun for their beautiful work and inspiring me and many others. I'm so sad that they passed away in such a tragic accident right as it seems they were just taking off. Luckily, their music will live on forever, rest in peace these wonderful lads.

Came here after Spotify notified me that I’ve listened to Her’s for 10,338 minutes of 2021.
Found them right after a 5 year relationship came to an abrupt end. Would end up finding out that they passed away just a month prior to me discovering them.
I never knew how sad it could feel to listen to such beautiful hard hitting melodies during a rough time while also then knowing that these melodies crafted by them were limited. Each song truly assisted me and I know that there’s others that also feel this way for songs and artists alike. I never thought I’d find “my band” that made songs that truly lift me up in the worst of times. Their songs were a pleasant company to what felt like my internal solitude of the mental prison I had sentenced myself to. They lived and performed during my lifetime and before I could ever see them live, they were gone.
If I could go back to the day I discovered them and somehow make it so I’d never know of their existence, I wouldn’t do that. I wouldn’t change that as I feel that in some beautiful way, that pain allowed me to recognize the answer to what I believe to be most peoples problems. That pain is what truly hurts us and yet, it’s because of love that pain exists. Without pain, love has no meaning and to feel true pain, means that there was some love to feel hurt from. No matter what, it means that pain stems from love and that only when we recognize this pain, gives it the rightful respect of its sensations to that of love, can we truly understand ourselves and also others. All the evils and wrongs in life, they stem from the pains of others. We must forgive ourselves for what we do to ourselves but also realize that evil is misunderstood. If I had lived out those that had ever hurt me or will eventually come to hurt me, I’d be just like they are then, I’d hurt me too because I’d have experienced their pains that led them to every evil choice they’ve ever made as I’ve done with my own. For that, I admit that I’ll never truly understand what it’s like for them with that pain they hold, but that I understand that it comes from a place of hurt. For that, I’ll always forgive those that ever hurt me, I’ll never hate them and I’ll never wish bad upon them. For if they could truly hurt me without any physical elements, I know now that they’d mean so much too me. Only love could hurt me now and only love could quell my wounds. Evil isn’t born, it’s created through experiences. No one is truly malice, they’re just hurt or incapable of experiencing love if they’re vessel isn’t suited for that experience.
I remember replaying just 1 song at a time for as long as I could before listening to another song by them that I hadn’t yet heard and then dedicating another whole week to that song.
“Speed Racer” was a funny week. I learned that I could still smile even in my lowest of lows. I’m sure if I can crawl, then surely all of you can run. You’re a lot stronger than you ever give yourself credit for, deep down you know this to be true. Just don’t be your own abuser, don’t be so hard on you. Only you could love you in the ways that you can, and that’s the most amazing part about each and everyone of you. You are truly that kind and capable, just ask yourself what’s wrong and you’ll be surprised to know that you have the answers, if you’re willing to listen.
If you ever feel that you’re alone, that maybe no one actually cares about you. Know that I do, I don’t have to personally know you, I’m in there with you as much as you’re in here with me. I don’t care what you’ve done or what you say to yourself, I forgive you always. I’ll love you for an eternity and yeah, even a little after that.
You’re not alone, you never were.

I can’t say I’ve ever cried over people I don’t know so much, I’ve listened to their music in many points in my life, when I lost I friend I listened to Hers on my windowsill at night and believed she was up there in the stars. I often sit in that windowsill at night when I want to calm and really think about life, there are three stars close together that I could stare at, my friends star, and when they had passed, I claimed the other two stars only to hers.

I saw them at the Brick and Motar House. They were playing with this band called Field Trip. I happened to stumble upon the frontman of Field Trip and he told me that he could hit me up with a guitar pick from one of the Her's members. I eventually ended up sneaking into the back where I met Stephan. He was really nice. He introduced himself and shook my hand, as if I didn't know who he was considering it was their concert lol, he was very humble. I told him my friends and I flew out from Northern Virginia to see him and he was excited to hear that. After the concert they handed me a guitar pick which I gave to my then girlfriend at the time. She is a huge fan of them . I missed the chance to see them a second time and I really regret it.

Wow I just realized this video was posted 1 day before the accident and I’m starting to tear up. Isn’t it beautiful how their last video is of them chillin on a boat though? Even though I only discovered Her’s literally 2 days ago it still hurts a little. It feels so surreal I just can’t believe it. Like wow, my new favorite band really died 2 years ago… right when their career was really starting to take off. Plus they were so young. Life really isn’t fair. It just goes to show how no one is promised tomorrow, not even to the most wholesome band on the Internet.
Anyway, thank you UA-cam for leading me to these gems, and may they rest easy. At least they died doing what they loved.

I miss them so much. Too many memories and some of the best days of my life spent dancing like an idiot and singing to their songs. Songs about grief kept me afloat when I needed it last year. Harvey was a tongue and cheek song that to me was about mental health which I also latched onto. I had a panic attack and couldnt remember my own mum’s name but I got my friend to put on her’s and I could keep up with the words and hold on to something familiar. I only drove to their music because it calmed me down. I got the album early and it kept me occupied while my grandmother was passing away. They released the album on the day of her funeral and I saw them on that day in leeds. It cheered me up, reminded me that happy things still exist. A month later I supported them in my local town. They were so supportive. I’ll never forget them smiling and clapping at me. I was so proud and inspired. Just the nicest guys in the whole galaxy. All my friends showed up and we had the best time dancing and laughing. Whenever they came to town it was a party that celebrated life and laughter. I’m heartbroken that wont happen again. I still don’t believe it. Only the other month was I talking to audun about writing and demoing and travelling. It’s unreal. But I’ll always have a favourite band in Her’s. Such incredible musicians. No words will cover it. Feel so blessed to have seen them as many times as I did dragging all my friends along to dance. Will never forget the day I met them the first time. I was so excited to finally see them Id been waiting for months. We were so lucky to have them. It’s difficult to imagine a world without them. I struggle more each day.

I never really comment on these kinds of videos, but I have to this time. I started listening to Her's only this June, after I broke up with my boyfriend of 2.5 years. Their music really comforted me and I loved their gentle yet punchy sound, profound lyrics and Stephen's really unique voice. I love his voice so much, and it's one of the things that really got me into the band. I am so sad I discovered them so late. I am always busy at work and googled their tour dates and saw "no upcoming dates" for the rest of the year but somehow managed to miss all the news about the accident. It's only when I wanted to read up more on where they were from and any upcoming albums that I saw the "deaths" section on Wiki.
It was honestly such a punch in the gut. It upsets me so much to watch them now. They seemed like such sweet, talented, and passionate lovely guys (and fan anecdotes seem to back this up!) Music really lost two up and coming stars and they would have gone on to make such great stuff. I listen to them every day. It still feels pretty surreal that they are gone. I love you so so much and will never stop listening to Her's and it'll remind me of the period in my life where I found myself again after it all fell apart.

    [Verse 1]
Some people think I'm acting worse for wear
Suffice to say this is a quaint affair
But no one really knows me like Harvey
And once you've met him I'm sure you'll agree
    [Pre-Chorus]
    (Yeah I get it)
    (You wanna know)
    (Who he is)
    (Where we go)
    (Yeah I get it)
    (You wanna see)
    (What it is)
    (Him and me)
    [Chorus]
    Harvey
    Nobody knows what I see
    Nobody knows I'm waiting
    Waiting for you to call
    Harvey
    Nobody knows what I see
    Everyone thinks I'm crazy
    Crazy for you, oh boy
    [Verse 2]
Barked at the moon amid an empty street
We felt the remnants of the evening heat
Said "Harvey let me be the one to say"
"I wouldn't dream this any other way"
    [Pre-Chorus]
    (Yeah I get it)
    (You wanna know)
    (Who he is)
    (Where we go)
    (Yeah I get it)
    (You wanna see)
    (What it is)
    (Him and me)
    [Chorus]
    Harvey
    Nobody knows what I see
    Nobody knows I'm waiting
    Waiting for you to call
    Harvey
    Nobody knows what I see
    Everyone thinks I'm crazy
    Crazy for you, oh boy
    [Bridge]
    Harvey
    Nobody knows what I see
    Everyone thinks I'm crazy
    Crazy for you, oh boy
    [Chorus]
    Harvey
    Nobody knows what I see
    Nobody knows I'm waiting
    Waiting for you to call
    Harvey
    Nobody knows what I see
    Everyone thinks I'm crazy
    Crazy for you, oh boy

This is fucking disgraceful. We've only scratched the surface of their potential and they're taken away from us... rest in peace lads, you will not be forgotten

This was posted on the day they died, before their accident. So heartbreaking.

Only started hearing their music a few months ago and would have loved to seen them play. RIP guys 😥
