i probably would die in the first corner and end up on pinkbike's friday fails
You and me both! - Matt
So we've all finally accepted that gravel bikes are just 90s mountain bikes, and we're giving them 90s paint jobs now?
😂 well I never had bars like that on my '90s MTB, even though they were a lot narrower than modern day bars!
Yup. But it's so cool now. You know, super cool.
Yeah. Triple chainrings, 26" wheels, flat 630mm bars, suspension forks. 🫥
@@boNOOBodI count that as a proper mountain bike, I just view larger wheels as fake mountain bike but also only hate I got for build I'm doing is 1x (I prefer 2-3 chainrings)
This is what really attracted me to the unbound ride, you didn't really know what bike to ride so you just jumbled together some parts and see what worked. This is a winner
…love go out 🚲💨❤️🔥
I used to run “aero or die” bars kinda like that, they were great. People were always worried for my on twisty TTs but they were no problem at all. Just had to take care where ya train on em!
Dumb… bikes like this wreck gravel riding.
My god that looks uncomfortable 😳
Love the paint job. Don't really get the super narrow bars on an off road machine though. 😮
When we spoke to Rane, he did say he changes the bars depending on the event he's riding. Super narrow on flatter courses and wider on rolling/more technical
looks awful...
When you're bored and have money
...Kill... me...
Looks like a TT bike from a far. Awesome paintjobs too!
Looks awful because of the handlebar set-up
Paint job can be nice but even in this vid you van spot so many imperfections.....
Not sure I'd ride it, but I have to give the man credit for thinking outside of the box, not lastly for the unholy bastard child of drop bars and aero bars.
Those riding positions would ruin my already ruined neck. I like the bike, but I'd go with a shorter stem and wider bars.
I'd rather have narrow straight handlebar + aerobar...
You ride it if you want to die. Better Pre run the course and make sure there isn’t any fast single track or anything technical at all, like a turn. Add a group to that and if you don’t die you’ll ruin someone else’s career. Hopefully it’s not a bunch sprint finish.
UCI: 🗿🗿🗿
Extreeeeeemeeeeee❤
Hell no! It doesn't even have a proper front fork. Who wants to attach a wheel to a butter knife
65 km Is a lie
Maybe I’m narrow minded but those bars are kinda retar…..ed
This should not be ridden in a bunch
It's probably terrible to descend
65km/h is an exaggeration, but somewhere around 40/42km/h I would think that bike can get up to.
Why have I yet to see any race footage? Means nothing.
I hate that fruity paint job. Hate the bars as well 💩
What in the name of all that is holy 😂
Florida man builds bike...
The bike to develop spine problems.
Looks like lower back pain
Not hard to tell what this guy is all about lol
All i see is a 90s mtb with modern tech
Ohhh noòo😂
This is cool, but also an abomination 😂
nah 😂
Water bottle bike
what is thr name
Awesome
What bike it is? I want to know the name. What's the price for the same bike? Thanks for letting me know. ✨
Do a screen shot and Google search it.
❤❤❤👍👍👍
I'd definitely ride such a bike : this is very close to my perfect gravel bike!
This thing is RAD!
I'm affraid of the narrow bars.
Eechy and Scratchy Design 😂❤
Not to your taste? 😅
Yeah, that's too much for me. The bars being so far out would but all the strain on my hips and knees and that paint job is way to Skittles for me. Sick bike though!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess. I seriously doubt how you will handle trickier gravel sections with such a narrow handlebar. Why not just add an aerobar on top? You will lose more time on technical sections with those bars then you will gain from the weightreduction of the aerobars.
This act is super dangerous. slight miscalculation of height could result in serious injury or decapitation. Don't attempt it at home.
The only way to make this bike more gravel would be to put micro brewery IPA in the bidons.
I love it except for the bars.
Why is he on a smaller size? I know the topstone in size xl is huge so he wouldn’t that crazy long stem. Why is he on a large of even a medium size bike? I would be scared racing that long stem.
Given that he will be on some interesting gravel this may be a handful. However, I love the retro paint job and what he did to the bike.
Would love to ride this trippy gravel. Red tires would be rockin'. Wicked crazy ride.🤪 Got water?💦Those handlebars, wild paint job.🎨 Love it!! 💘 🔥💕😀⚡🚲
It looks weird now, but I also see the aero gains, which I imagine matter quite a lot in a race setting.
I woulda done that paint job for $5
we all have that one friend
Not the kind of riding I do(looks painful) but super-duper cool and creative. A LOT of thought. Luv it!
Absolutely disgusting
What kind of handlebar is that?
How did Unbound go?
Sweet ride man, love it! !!🤙🤙
That’s wild
Great range of gearing for a 1x but will be tricky finding the right cadence
Wouldn't surprise me if they tell him he can't race like this after their aerobar ban
That position. Ouch
If you ever want to pretend you’re Hiccup doing stunts with Toothless, this is the bike for you.
Got to see it at Locos, wild
Ghey 😂
Love it!!
This is awesome!
50c tires?
Some stills, please!
Ever since I got a lefty I feel like I lost my mind😂 everytime I ride it I feel like I have so much control over the bike
My lowest gear ratio on my eighteen speed mountain bike is one to one. The smallest cog up front and the biggest one in back each have 28 teeth. The bottom gear is plenty for climbing hills. I don't see the point in having such a high number in back.
I love it! I hope they let him race it.
Gravel bikes never made sense to me but this does
A.k.a. _"EXPENSIVE TOY"_
As a fixed gear rider, I _need_ those bars
They are custom bars. You can own them if you are willing to cut some alloy bars and weld them narrower😂
how the heck is there a rear derailleur for a 50T
Don't understand, it's for climbs hills...
At that point you might as well walk @@SolarizeYourLife
Gravel is about exploring and being adventurous. If you’re this much into being aero and fast, try road cycling.
Isn't there room for both?
Gravel gets you less likely turned into roadkill.
If you're this much into being a snob, you really should think about road bikes😂😂
