    I'm confused in one thing, is it really worth taking interior camera? Or 2ch is also fine

    • @traveltechyoutube
      @traveltechyoutube  5 місяців тому

      It comes down to your preference and requirement.
      If you have interior camera, it can record all 4 windows of the car from the inside, which in certain cases, for example, a policeman or someone else who comes up to your window to speak with you etc can be fully recorded, which the front/rear camera cannot.
      Secondly, if any tried to steal any items kept inside the car, by smashing windows, or peeking inside the car through windows etc will be recorded by the interior camera. In both these instances, the front and rear camera don't serve any purpose.

    Finally !! ❤
    Few questions and hope you answer all
    1) Why the A139 pro is expensive although it doesn’t have display and has only front STARVIS 2 camera ( compared to A229)
    2) Is this a Viofo sponsored video ?
    3) 3channel is worth going for ? What’s the use of cabin camera

    • @traveltechyoutube
      @traveltechyoutube  10 місяців тому +3

      Good question. I had the same doubt regarding the prices.
      Successive deployment of Sony Starvis-2 sensor is cheaper compared to use it globally exclusively first.
      Also normal USB C type cables are a little less expensive than Coaxial in A139. These all made it cheaper than A139 Pro.
      2. No this is not a sponsored video. I wish it was. I could use the extra money. Maybe I'l ask them to sponsor other videos 🤣
      3. Interior camera covers insude the cabin and its windows, especially the driver side window. So if any policeman/person comes up to talk to you via your driverside window, the front and rear camera will miss it completely. The interior cam will record that interaction. Also if someone tries to open the door or car window forcefully, again the front and rear cam will miss it entirely. The interior cam will record it and will serve as evidence for you

    I really like the video at the initial stage where it is just released.
    You have captured all the important aspects. Thanks for the amazing work and waiting for the next video for night coverage.
    Two questions:
    1.) In general Is there any warrant voids if we hardwire fuse for parking monitoring?
    Say for Honda cars.
    The dealers definitely argue and tend to discourage that warranty will be void etc.
    2.) I want to know if plus will be able to capture number plate for front and rear during day and night time.
    Hope I can get this info in next video. But in case you have tested and have answer then please let me know. The price difference for me is only 7K for the pro.
    I want to save 7K just for the 4K doesn’t feel to invest more.

    • @traveltechyoutube
      @traveltechyoutube  10 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for liking my video. Regarding your questions, here is the answer:
      1. Hardwiring doesn't void the warranty of the car. BUT as you mentioned, some dealerships do not recommend this and say that it voids the warranty. This is because of standard company policy where the company doesn't want to be held liable to any damage to the electrical circuit (if there ever is) and doesn't wish to take up corrective actions free of cost. This is obvious because which company will ever like to replace parts and accessories for free? Even if you and me had a company, we would say the same to our customers. So in short, technically no warranty is void, but in terms of company policy and principles, it does.
      So the solution to this problem is to remove the hardwiring kit just before giving your car for service or before attempting to claim any warranty, at the company's service centre. If you have replaced back the fuses to their proper slots, no one in the world can recognize that the car was hardwired previously. Hence any warranty claim at such instance will be honored by the company and you wont have a thing to worry about. Once the car is back from service, install the hardwiring back again and you are good to go until the next service (generally a year later).
      2. The A229 Plus variant has a 2K front and 2K rear camera with Starvis 2 sensors. By definition, 2K is half the size of 4K, hence for very high distances such as more than 20+ feet, the ability to capture number plate will come down. Generally 4K cameras can capture clear plates upto 25feet or more based on lighting conditions, and 2K cameras can capture upto 15 feet. So you can decide based on this aspect. My personal recommendation will always be to go for the highest resolution possible, because its not everyday we buy dashcams, and once bought, we tend to use them for a few years or more at the least. So its better to have the highest capable camera and not get to use it to its full potential, than not have it and face a situation where it was needed the most. Of course, budget is an important factor. If you can afford it, get the 4K cam. If the budget is too tight, go with 2K. No regrets.

    • @madhurb1983
      @madhurb1983 10 місяців тому

      Thank You so much sir for the detailed explanation it means a lot.
      And I certainly agree with both the points. So I will rethink for 4K dash cam for which 7K more I need to pay.

    • @traveltechyoutube
      @traveltechyoutube  5 місяців тому

      Both are excellent in their own segments. The 70mai A810 is the finest with its front 4K resolution.
      Although the A229 Plus doesn't have 4K, it makes it up by getting Dual Starvis2 cameras. Also having an option to add a internal camera later on if required.
      It is a difficult choice between the two. So it comes down to your priority. If overall package is your priority, A229 Plus is the one. If front camera is of utmost importance, then A810 is the one.

    Can the lens of the rear camera of the A229 pro dual channel be rotated backwards to capture the cabin view from behind whenever required? Also, can the rear camera be fitted on the front windshield itself and the lens rotated backwards to capture cabin footage? If it does work, it might be a good setup for travel vlogs B roll requirements too, along with the security features

    • @traveltechyoutube
      @traveltechyoutube  6 місяців тому +1

      1. Yes the rear camera can be rotated backwards towards cabin to record cabin view from behind.
      2. Yes it can be attached to front windshield and rotated backwards to capture cabin footage.
      3. This will work well only in bright sunlit conditions. At evening, and night, the video footage will be completely dark as there is no light inside the cabin (unless cabin light is turned on which is quite dim). So the footage at night will be practically useless.
      4. This is the reason a special interior camera is provided in the triple channel variant which has about 4 infrared lights and infrared sensor built in, which can record even in the darkest conditions inside the cabin.

    • @anupgore
      @anupgore 6 місяців тому

      @@traveltechyoutube thank you so much for the revert.
      So basically the Viofo A229 pro rear 2k camera with a Starvis 2 sensor with better quality recording then most of the other available options can be used to record cabin footage in broad daylight conditions - only not viable during low light or night time .
      This can be such a good option for travel vloggers who usually end up using action cameras like a GoPro which comes with its own challenges of extra fitment accessories, handling, and most importantly the heating issues .
      You could seriously think on making a video showcasing the A229 dual channel as a good option for travel vloggers

      @@traveltechyoutube thanks a lot! I'm slightly confused between Viofo a229, vantrue N4pro and garmin 67W. I can go for viofo or vantrue anyday, but Garmin being a established brand with trusty after sales support makes me gravitate towards Garmin more in the long run. Slightly confused here.
      Which dash cam do you use? A long term review on brands trust worthiness and after sales support in India would be great!

      If no plans removing the camera in short time, and plan to jeep keep the camera longer, then no need to cut. Stick on it directly. If planning to change camera or removing for any reason soon, cut it out.

    2k 60 fps is better than 4k 30 fps

    • @traveltechyoutube
      @traveltechyoutube  4 місяці тому

      It's not a matter of which is 'better'. It's a matter of which is your 'priority/requirement'. For normal usage 4K/30fps is more than enough. 2K/60fps although gives you smooter footage, it compromises on the resolution.
      So if your requirement is a super smooth video footage and not necessarily the clarity provided by 4K, you can go with 2K/60fps. If your requirement is a a normal footage with the best possible clarity, go with 4K/30fps.
      So again stressing on the same point. Its not about which is 'better', but rather 'better for your need/priority/requirement '.
