My 42 th. Till now you surprised me every video. You are such an natural story teller besides your never boring always something new to discover/ learn paintingstyles ( plural). Hi Linda, I wasn’t aware of Dawna Barton, but I looked up her name and work and I see the similarity. Although her paintings are much much more detailed they have the same sort of mood. Glad you’re enjoying the videos!

Diane I just love this beach house painting. You are so talented. There's not many doing landscape paintings on UA-cam. So I'm so glad that you started painting these. I'm from louisiana living in Florida so you will find out language from the south will be a little different from the rest of USA.

This is the second time I’ve had a glimpse of the seashore watercolor book you are creating. What a calming idea! I noticed typed Verse or ? inserted in between most of the pages. Is this a bit of journaling, poetry? I think it’s a great idea, if I did that perhaps one of my children would like to have it… the paintings are beautiful!

Thank you Diane lovely painting, I live by the sea but hate painting sea scapes,there is only so much sea and cliffs I can stand before I fall asleep,you made me laugh when you mentioned tracing,I know an artist who makes a fortune as a portrait artist by tracing,it doesn't bother me but another artist friend of mine goes bonkers,it really gets under her skin and only today she was raging about another painting that had been sold 😂 I'm lucky I was taught to draw by a fabulous art Teacher at school so thank you Mrs Padbury I've never had to Trace haha, Thank you for more inspiration Diane your a wonderful artist ☺
My art teacher was also fabulous, and she was called Mrs Pratchett! I’m sure she set me off on the right track. The idea of tracing would never have occurred to her. It would have been thought to be cheating, the same as copying from your neighbour, but nowadays no one cares about integrity, it’s all about making money. I can’t go along with that! Your friend and I would have a great time ranting about these cheaters! But you’re right to take the approach that it doesn’t bother you, people can do what they like can’t they!
@@DianeAntoneStudio Yes your right Diane , but there is nothing you can do and you dont like to cause an atmosphere , my art teacher would of been exactly the same , there were no tracers in our class ..my friend just goes outside and puffs on her ciggy for 10 minutes , it saves her ranting haha

I did the pebbles a few times and they turned out fairly well.
A fan brush makes nice little flowers too.

Just finished my version of your Dreamy Seaside Cottage! I still consider myself a beginner w/ little to no natural talent lol. But I'm very pleased w/ how my painting came out. Thanks for the mixing tips as well. Quick Q..did you wet the paper before each part or was it wet on dry for most sections except for the sky? Thanks!

Hi Brenda, sorry I have been missing your messages! I do try to reply or at least to give an acknowledgement to as many as possible. But we have been very busy just recently, what with the storm as well are you with. I didn’t realise how much I relied on my husband to do a lot of the chores around the house and he’s been away on business for a month. Anyway I’m glad you enjoyed the videos! Lucky you for living by the sea, although I hope you haven’t been affected by the high winds which seem to have done a lot of damage in England the other day. Happy painting!

What eraser are you using Diane? I like how much more controlled it allows you to be compared to the one I've been using. I purchased the Etchr sketch book after watching another one of your tutorials (also purchased the Black Tulip brush set but postal lost it :-/) and it's the first time I've painted on quality paper. It feels like painting on clouds or silk. The only thing is I cringe to think what the WHITE cover will look like after a few uses. I guess that's another thing I will have to work on "letting go of" which is something painting has really helped me with. The more "perfect" I try to make something, typically the worse it looks because I end up smearing the paint more or causing the paper (not Etchr) to peel.
Also, please tell Tamsin that I appreciate her adding the color names to the screen! That's very helpful :-)
Hi Katie, here's a link to the eraser I'm using, it's a Pentel Clic and they are really inexpensive. amzn.to/3s4lUGw Glad you like the Etchr sketchbook. I do too, and my cover is definitely grubby already. I don't like their choice of white, so impractical, but it does LOOK nice!!!

I tried painting this but I paint with a heavy hand. That means my colors are not as soft as yours. I do like yours better than mine
Hi Patricia, just try diluting your paint with less pigment (to make the colors lighter) and it might help. But mostly, relax and enjoy!
